Agreed. As you said above, when we were at our lowest under Kean, the pressure still didn't reach them. It's a huge problem for sure though, it's impossible to put any trust in Venky's after these last 10 years (10 years, really? ?) and the fact that they have detached themselves so much from the club/fans.
-
I doubt they have heard of him but that's surely part of the problem, they are so completely detached from the club?
-
The new left back? ?♂️
-
Its all very depressing really.
-
Its a horrific thing.
-
Ah, a thing of beauty.

Are you asking us or telling us?

Is this the midfielder?

Tough game and we just don't win on the opening day. I reckon we'll actually take the lead through Armstrong before Bournemouth come to life and put us to the sword. 3-1

This catches me out on the BBC all the time. BREAKING NEWS: Chelsea sign De-Bruyne in club record deal. *opens article* Chelsea have signed Mary De-Bruyne from Doncaster Belles... FFS.

Apart from that, his attempt at defending/stopping crosses was pathetic
-
He's not very good. He doesn't offer a great deal and doesn't really have any standout attributes to work with. He doesn't have pace, rarely beats a man, can't cross, his finishing is abysmal, he often makes the wrong decision when in the box when it comes to passing or shooting. When he does get into the right position, like today and the other week, he puts it wide when he has a great chance or an open goal to aim at. I'm certainly not of the opinion that he should be given a load of games running in hope he'll improve. Armstrong only improved because he was finally played in his correct position.

Missed the last 25mins but great to see that we grabbed an equaliser. Bell played well for the most part but we still need a LB and CB. JRC looks much better in an attacking role. Should be starting against Bournemouth there. I'd be dropping BB though.
-
Shame for Fisher but hes just cemented his case for back up/loan
-
After a shakey start, hes done well. Brereton has been abysmal when tracking back. Hes the next Jason Lowe, runs up to people and does nothing. Didn't even attempt to stick a leg out to block crosses.
-
Big test for Magloire today. That back 5 isn't looking particularly strong. When is Kaminski out of Isolation?
-
Our current back 4 isn't promotion material.

I'd do the same i reckon, although a Nyambe/Wharton centre back partnership lacks some experience/leadership. Might have to play Williams instead of one of them.

Hanley seems to be pretty injury prone these days. He only made 15 appearances last season and none when they season resumed following the break for Covid, due to injury. Season before that he only managed 9 appearances, as he got injured and then lost his place due to the form of his replacements. He was sent off on his first game back too. He'd be a decent defender for us but we need someone who's at least reasonably reliable.
-
Frustrating that we've missed out but largely because WBA kept him waiting, which has left us waiting. At least he's signed for someone now but i hope we moved on from him earlier in the week.
-
So, another silent day on the transfer front for us.
-
He'd be a great signing. I don't remember us being linked to him though.

To be fair, we didn't know Wigan were going to go into Administration. But it's no excuse, we should have had our targets lined up and sorted as soon as. Certainly for critical positions like Keeper, centre back and left back
