  1. I've only just realised Bennett isn't starting. I think I just read his name automatically now.
  2. I hope its 4-2-3-1 and not 4-4-2
  3. At least he didn't go for a 4-0 rout.
  4. But team news is at 2pm....
  5. They need time to forget structure and all positional sense.
  6. Won't he need 3 months of learning how they play, before he can start a game?
  7. They are some fierce stats. 15, 16, 17 assists, plus 8 or 9 goals. Yes its league one but taking him on a free, or a small fee in January would certainly be worth risk.
  8. Downing at the moment, might be Armstrong by the end of the season.
  9. Love guy from his time here but there is no way we should be signing him now.
  10. This deserves a ban
  11. Fantastic to see that, thanks. Still, it's a bit sad that we are now probably one of the least ambitious clubs in football.
  12. Our central midfield has been an issue for a hell of a long time. Evans isn't great, recent performances might have been better but we've needed better for a long time. I actually though Johnson would go a long way to resolving this but it hasn't worked out.
  13. I'm not saying you're wrong because I don't know but I thought the accounts showed we were treading water with regards to FFP? Although technically, that means we aren't skint as such, it does mean (if true) that we can't spend any money?
  14. I think your first point is spot on. We won't have a pot to piss in and I think we were expecting a nice chunk of cash to come in from selling Dack. Obviously that's not happening anymore, so I wouldn't be surprised to see another go. Lenihan is the obvious one to bring in a reasonable amount and rumours of Sheff utd retaining their interest gives us a potential sale. Sadly I think your 2nd point is incorrect,I can't see him going anywhere. He seems to be under no pressure from above and we've been on worse runs and he didn't walk.
  15. Fair enough. I didn't say promotion form though to be fair, I said they were play off chasing. It's fairly irrelevant anyway, we are in one of Mowbray's winless streaks, typified by failing to beat 10 man Birmingham. Form won't be an issue for PNE as we all know the way to arrest poor form is to go to Ewood.
  16. They have occupied a play off position for a good portion of the season and were 2nd at one point? Surely qualifies as play off chasing? We've never even been in a play off place.
  17. He certainly seems like a different player to the one in this YouTube video: (one thing I will say, his touch often looks like it goes just that bit too far away from him but he seems to get away with it every time) I know they are only highlights but you can see him running at players, beating players, getting shots away. Looks full of confidence, not like what we get, he's practically anonymous most of the time in a Rovers shirt. I do fear he's going to be one of those players who just drift out of the game, down the leagues before being back in the news for scoring 25 goals for some non league team. Mowbray has a huge task on his hands getting some confidence back into him. I personally don't think Mowbray is capable of that, in fact I'd say he's more likely throw him under the bus instead.
  18. Well reminded! I saw the same thing, meant to follow it up but I've been too busy despairing over our defending. Edit: sounds like Harts going no where: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18138012.sean-dyche-reacts-joe-hart-ben-gibson-speculation/
  19. Confidence is back to hitting rock bottom, I mean we couldn't knock an average team with 10 men out of the cup today, so I'm not expecting us to be turning over a play off chasing Preston. Probably be a defeat, culminating in a meltdown in the fan base (on here and social media at the very least) before Mowbray pulls his standard rabbit out of the hat and beat Sheff Wed away.
  20. Mowbrays comments on Gallagher, not overly positive about him: Sam Gallagher: Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray tells striker to 'listen more' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50995928 Edit: Stuart already posted link in another thread.
  21. I just watched the "highlights" on the BBC and came in here to say something similar. Not just the goals either. There was a point where Rothwell just moved his leg in some half assed manner whilst 2 Birmingham players just one-twoed round him with ease on the edge of the area.
  22. Where have you seen that he cried?
  23. Yep they do. I get your point but Mowbray is actually a terrible manager. He's just as likely to take us down than anything else. He's crippling the club by saddling us with horrendous transfers too. It's looking more likely that under Mowbray, Brereton will end up getting released when his contract is up. We desperately need a new manager, one who can start getting something out of these players. It's a risk because of Venkys track record but we have no other choice but to roll the dice and play the game.
  24. Mowbray deserves sacking for that defending alone. How the fuck was that player allowed to go so far unchallenged in the box. Abysmal.
