  1. He's come on for Picks, which is strange. Unless it's 3 at the back?
  2. Cantwell and ACD surely need to come on now.
  3. Not sure that was a straight Red but I'll take it.
  4. Tronstad the pick of the bunch, along with Dolan, probably.
  5. Really need some pace on. Get the Brighton lad on for Hedges/Weimann.
  6. Pears isn't getting dropped anytime soon. Perhaps the added competition of the new keeper has upped his game a bit.
  7. Missed most of the game but just catching up now. What a horrible, disgraceful set of ****s PNE. The tackle for the red was horrific and a player biting another is a whole new level of disgraceful. Hope he gets a lengthy ban, Saurez got 10 games (if I remember correctly), so no reason for this guy to get any less.
  8. Feels like both Gueye and Ohashi need to start.
  9. Slightly weird line up. Thought Baker was a CM? (Unless its 4-3-3?) Really doesn't rate JRC as a right back.
  10. Ironically, I think he'd be a great fit for JE's Rovers.
  11. He's certainly capable of good performances, from memory (and I could be wrong) he had a good game against Newcastle in the cup as well. The problem is, over a 46 game season he doesn't play well enough consistently and he's prone to huge mistakes which get punished and some lesser mistakes which he often gets away with.
  12. It would be. Tbf, JE has certainly seen enough of Pears since he joined to see that he isn't up to it. He had to choose between him and Wahlstedt last season, and it's been between Pears and Hilton this season so far. I can't believe for a minute that JE really wants Pears as his No.1 but up till now he's not really had any choice. I still think for this one, Pears will start but after that, you'd hope JE wants to get the new lad in as quickly as possible.
  13. New lad has been away on international duty, JE will have barely seen him in training. Can't see him starting for a few weeks yet. (Just to be clear, I think Pears is dreadful and would have him out of net asap)
  14. I reckon Cantwell will start this tbh. Not sure if he'll play behind the striker or as a wide attacker though? ----------------------Pears Brittain----Carter----Hyam----Beck ---------------Travis---Tronstad Weimann-----Cantwell------Hedges ‐---------------------Dolan I actually think JE will opt for that lineup. I don't think he'll drop either of Beck or Weimann after the Dingle game. For me, Ohashi deserves to start upfront in Gueye's absence though.
  15. I think (could be wrong) that all apart from Cantwell will be fully fit, as they've all been playing/had a pre-season. Cantwell was involved in Rangers pre-season early doors (and scored in a friendly, early July) but wasn't involved with their first team or reserves, once he'd said he wanted to leave (mid July(ish) I think). So he's probably a bit behind with fitness.
  16. 😂😂 Thanks for that, hilarious stuff. Genuinely don't think we watched the same game. A few complaints that our lads went down easy or rolled on the ground but they were twice as bad. All desperate to console themselves that the offside goal wasn't given due to a foul, even though it was clearly disallowed for offside and Sky confirmed that reason with the 4th official.
  17. What happened with Foster, towards the end of the game? He just ended up on the deck and pathetically rolled about 15 yards. The ref did nothing about it (I don't think) but it was in our box, surely he should have been done for simulation?
  18. He was on loan at Wigan last season (for 1/2 of it). He's now had his contract terminated by Arsenal and is a free agent. imy9's post was a touch confusing though.
  19. What gives with this? Weren't clubs trying to sign him for like £20m? He was really poor.
  20. 🤦‍♂️ My bad, thought he was on loan there.
  21. International break now, which is good timing for us. Hopefully Brittain, Pickering and Batth can get back to fitness and Cantwell, Toth and Duberry can have a couple of weeks getting up to speed. Puts us in a great position for the visit of Bristol in the next game.
