  1. Have we had one attack this half? Which is the home team? Mowbray's picking up his (considerable) wages under false pretences.
  2. Good news....Gallagher might not be able to carry on
  3. Any neutral would say the players aren't playing for the manager
  4. Have I really paid good money to be inflicted with Sam Gallagher again?
  5. Folk on here gave 0'Neill pelters when Stoke beat us 1-0 in December, labelling the team "boring". Here he is doing it again. That's heading for a very boring 6 points against us.
  6. O'Neill has Mowbray and Rovers worked out. I cannot see us turning this round
  7. Lenihan's passing is atrocious
  8. O'Neill directing his players; Mowbray hands in pockets in his seat At least he's awake
  9. Basic set piece defending That'll be it. Stoke will shut up shop
  10. West Ham fans seem convinced they're in for Armstrong
  11. He has too many touches on the ball and needs to look up while he's running with it. It will come with age and experience but at the moment he's easy to defend against because he hangs on to the ball too long
  12. Well played Crawley. The magic of the Cup. Something our Tony has never heard of.
  13. Not going to happen so might as well get shot now Glad to see you're finally waking up
  14. Pears the apple of Tony'd eye beaten by a banana shot. Not a plum signing and raspberries all round to the management God I hate football
  15. Tony clearly not bothered about the Cup so the players look as if they can't be bothered either.
  16. Lovely player to watch Colin Bell - something in the way he moved, rather like Sir Keith. De Bruyne is very similar though I think Colin had the edge (others probably disagree). De Bruyne now aged 29, the age when Bell suffered the knee injury that effectively ended his career. Malcolm Allison I think it was who called Bell "Nijinsky" after the racehorse of the same name. Bell was a thoroughbred too. RIP
  17. Colin Bell, what a wonderful player he was. Think de Bruyne but only better. RIP
  18. At the moment Dolan has too many touches of the ball, so often runs into trouble. He needs to have fewer touches and look up more when he's running with it.
  19. Same tempo as a training match
  20. Every manager knows when their time is up and they cannot do any more, and that results are so bad their position is untenable. I think Mowbray is nearing that point. His whole demeanour last night showed a man who doesn't know what to do. It's ok to say he went on "a similar death spiral" last season, and "Waggott laughed" when questioned about Mowbray's position, but it's missing the point, which is that there comes a time when a manager - even Mowbray - loses credibility and has to walk away. Two more defeats could see Mowbray leave the club IMO.
  21. If body language spoke volumes then watching Mowbray on the bench tonight you'd have to say he would probably resign in the morning (he won't of course). His facial expressions were that of a man who hadn't a clue what was going on or how or why his team were playing so badly. I'm sure he was wound up inside but on the surface there was no passion whatsoever. Spitting every few minutes doesn't count I'm afraid. Two defeats in the next 2 matches and I would say Tony's position would be untenable.
  22. I don't think so, but we'll do well to finish above halfway
