We’ve won one and lost one in high scoring games so logic says we will draw this. Derby 0 Rovers 0
-
Let in goals every game and try to out score the opposition
-
Convicts 73-5. Come on England, send them home miserable

Rovers 0. That's fixed it. -
Steve Bruce team talk: "We should get a hatful against their crap defence but watch out for their intensity"
-
Personally I'd rather we were rubbish and won.
-
Tony knows it but doesn't know how to fix it.
-
It's so easy to score against us....... individual and collective mistakes nearly every game
-
Another season same old frailties. Tony’s a regular guy, so dependable
-
As a final score - why?

Season Predictions 2020-2021

So here we are, another season about to start and apart from some juniors pressing their claim the defence is still largely the same. A new goalkeeper might make a difference but yet again, experienced "target" defenders have signed for other clubs. Albert Einstein is credited with saying, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results," Why should we end up anywhere but mid-table or lower? -

Young Mark Hughes in that photo, next to Derek Fazackerly. Jesper Olsen behind Faz. Not sure about the others -
Williams has developed into a decent centre half - not the sort of player who will get you promotion but steady enough. Williams the left back I'd let go but as a squad centre half I'd keep him.

Fisher needs hooking and cast aside. Not good enough for the 1st team
-
There's always a but though. Until we cut out the individual errors, many of them very basic, we will continue to ship goals.
-
Fisher JRC Nyambe Wharton Bell Travis Davenport Holtby Brereton Armstrong Dolan Is that the proposed starting line-up against Bournemouth?
-
You mean like a Ford Capri..... underpowered, dodgy on corners and temperamental?
-
Isn't that the truth? Tony looks weary and he probably realises he's taken the club as far as he can. If he were honest with himself, he'd resign.

Burnley revenue 2018-19 ...............£137m https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/club/club-accounts/ Rovers revenue 2018-19.............. £15m https://financialfootballnews.com/blackburn-rovers-fcs-2019-finances-here-to-stay/

Rovers "irrelevant" while Burnley overflowing with money and a Premier League fixture. That's quite an achievement in 10 years or so.
-
fuelling. You like a flutter. Want to bet on the Rovers back 4 that lines up in the first league match?
-
All very commendable but we still don't have the quality defenders we desperately need. Until that is addressed it's a C from me.
-
Not alot different to most of the others then.
-
Mmmmmm.....Bonny Boro no less. And Smallwood is a client too. Job for Tony there methinks one day. .

I never said "he's just building up an old Middlesbrough team" (your twist)... only that (to repeat) he seems to have a limited contacts book because he seems to back to his favourite club alot to sign players. It was an observation more than anything and he's probably not unusual in doing so, but there you go. If It sounded cynical then it probably is, because his management is taking the club nowhere at the moment.
