  1. The manager chose to select Clinton Mola over Scott Wharton. The manager chose to select Callum Brittain on the wrong side. The manager chose to select Ryan Hedges as a wing back. The manager chose to select Jake Garrett over Adam Wharton/Bradley Dack/Harry Pickering. The manager chose to bring on Jack Vale for Sam Gallagher. How about some bloody accountability, just as he gets rightfully praised when we win for decisions made, he fucked up yesterday.
  2. He said "we." Who pushed, was it Broughton was it Tomasson. The signing of Hirst and the pushing of Vale into regular first team minutes could suggest that playing ability as a striker does not necessarily translate to utilising one as a manager. He also said "Rovers fans should look forward to seeing a striker with a goal threat, good link-up play, the ability to press from the front and an ideal mentality for our environment."
  3. How can so many people be aware of specific negotiations between the club and Raya, to such varying amounts offered as wages?
  4. Was it your idea to earmark George Hirst as our number 1 striking target?
  5. Doe he just name a new Spanish team each Sunday to link Brereton to? I guess eventually one will prove to be true.
  6. A day on from a truly pitiful, gutless, shameful performance against a side that were far better. Tomasson got his team and tactics horribly wrong and far from the first time this season, we didn't compete, we didn't create, we were embarassing. Our squad is massively lacking in certain areas, made much worse by bizarre selection. Garrett is miles off the quality needed, why is he starting such a big game, and Adam Wharton misses out on the squad? Jack Vale will not be close to a Championship striker as long as he has a hole in his arse, he is a lazy prick too, half arsed. Says a lot when our "number 1" striking summer target can't get on the bench over him. Also, what is Mola about, and why is he starting over Scott Wharton? This inverted full back shit needs knocking on the head too. Also, people genuinely name dropping Mowbray in when looking for blame? That's a stretch even for his biggest critics. I don't even understand how anyone can have gone yesterday and not felt it in the pit of their stomach.
  7. How do you know the exact amount and the inner workings of the transfer?
  8. Typical English disease? A number of players from various countries have had to miss out due to injury.
  9. I think the Raya situation is a good example of how because it became so sour with Mowbray in the end, that people struggle to be fair in their analysis of things. It is easy to forget how error prone he was in the season prior to being sold but even so, we definitely sold him for less than we should have done. Then came the worst part, loaning in the inept Walton for a season. There seems to be no focus however on how he then went and signed in my opinion a better keeper for a seventh of the price.
  10. I continued to back Mowbray? 😂 (You've moved away from your initial point that Mowbray would make changes dependant on the supporters so presumably youve come to terms with how stupid it was)
  11. You clearly don't appreciate how stupid your argument is that Mowbray was stubborn yet he would make subs based on supporter reactions. Both of them can't be true, and in this case the latter is fictitious nonsense.
  12. The wages issue is reportedly a banking issue whereby the payments are always made but a day or two late. Now I would be skeptical of that and either way it isn't acceptable, but still. That bein said, does that mean that they can not expect a better manager than one that has them sat 23rd after 1 point from 7 games? Your initial complaint was that not enough "loyalty" was shown though, why would that come into the decision? Mowbray would still be here if we decided to be "loyal" to him rather than looking for an upgrade. As I said, turn it round and if Richardson had a better paid job waiting at a higher level, he would not have given it a second thought.
  13. @chaddyrovers in the past you have been staunchly against comparing ticket prices to other clubs because you deemed them to be incomparable, even when they were local clubs such as Preston, whereby the prices are noticeably cheaper and their season ticket sales were massively higher as a result. Now you are comparing to one off comedian tours following a huge period of time without or totally different sports! Also, what is this bollocks about dismissing people because "they haven't done anything about it?!" It isn't down to anyone on here to do anything, there is someone paid £300k a year at the club who has that responsibility. And he has never shown any willingness to listen anyway, even when ticket sales have been consistently piss poor.
  14. I think it is a different situation with Wales who for example compared to England, have a much smaller pool of players and a much bigger reliance on a siege mentality. Had Hedges been included, he would likely have not got close to game time anyway with Gareth Bale, Brennan Johnson, Dan James etc. Gunter and Williams don't play in the same position but their experience of previous successful tournaments could prove invaluable as 25th/26th members of the squad who likely won't kick a ball.
  15. Is this as baseless an accusation as I think, or do you remember any examples of your quite frankly bizarre claim? As pointed out, how can he be so stubborn yet at the same time so willing to change his plans simply because the fans asked for it?! You certainly wouldn't have dreamt of saying anything like this when he was in employment and you was his number 1 fan!
  16. Come on chaddy, you can't be this naive. Loyalty doesn't and shouldn't come into it, decisions should be made based on doing the best for the club from a footballing perspective. Flip it round, would Richardson have turned down the Man City job had he been in employment at Wigan out of loyalty? They clearly are floundering, they have 1 point from their last 7 games and are 2nd bottom, yes they have a limited squad but it isn't hard to see why the club has decided to try and change things, the only curiosity is giving him a new deal. Ferguson would be a shit appointment though, although at one point during the summer when rumours wrongly had him assumed as the next Rovers manager, you were supportive of the idea. Surely you as a result think he would be a good appointment for Wigan too?
  17. None of that means that he shouldn't be sacked if he is deemed not to be the best bet to keep them up, and they are doing poorly.
  18. Why would Wigan keep Richardson out of "loyalty?" They should be deciding purely on the best man for the job and Wigan have lost so much so a change is understandable, why they gave him a new deal prior is the strange bit.
  19. He seemingly is not suited to playing deep, he dawdles on the ball and doesn't move it quickly enough. Maybe more suited to playing where Szmodics does.
  20. Glad we have made changes, although Brereton shouldn't have travelled.
  21. He might be one of our highest earners, but even if he is, it doesn't mean that his wage was doubled.
  22. Dack also got a new deal after we regained Championship status. Talk of doubling his wage is purely speculative.
