  1. How anyone could sit and watch that shite for 90 minutes and then chose the day after to watch it all again is incredible!
  2. A tight game, fine margins, the usual cliches unfortunately. But again we just came up short when facing one of the big guns after seeing off inferior nations, as has been the way.
  3. Absolutely disgraceful performance and result against a bang average side who struggle to score and were missing a big chunk of their team. Obviously Tomasson can't be considered for the sack while we are in 3rd, but I think a big chunk of our fan base are understandably skeptical towards him. In most games he does some weird tactical thing that causes us to be imbalanced, he cannot turn games round by making changes tactically and he is stubbornly sticking to an overall tactic that doesn't suit us, that 2nd goal yesterday was as bad as you could wish to see. I am very unconvinced that the "journey" will lead us forward. Yesterday, the Hedges drifting back into almost a wing back role and the balance of the front 3 was bizarre, we was caught in between 2 systems and we couldn't keep the ball forward. I would also look back at the transfer window and say it was below average. Hyam is ok but nothing special, Brittain is ok and constantly injured, Morton is often invisible, Szmodics is usually poor, Mola again yesterday was miles out of his depth and we all know how bad Hirst is. Performance wise, Dack was the only one to come out with any credit. Szmodics was invisible as was Brereton although you don't take your main goalscorer off at 2-1 down. The defenders were all poor and Travis and Morton were both hopeless.
  4. Absolutely no chance of Spurs going for Gareth Southgate.
  5. Croatia are fantastic in tournaments, you would imagine that it is the last tournament for a few including Perisic and definitely (and sadly) Modric but they have IMO the best midfield in the tournament. Good to see the underdog win and always nice to see Neymar in tears. His goal was special but he is as unlikeable a player as you could wish to see.
  6. Nope. They have been open previously with beer pumps on, it helps with queues. For some reason they haven't been used. Last match, I went down 5 minutes before half time, got served as the second half was kicking off and they only had Fosters left which I would never choose in a million years.
  7. If they get the chance, they will try again.
  8. Would you potentially not keep him assuming he doesn't want to sign a new deal?
  9. The pundits tend to fawn over all of the big names and/or the big countries, whether that is Messi, Ronaldo, Modric, Mbappe, Neymar/Brazil etc, and of course very much included, England. I think the general punditry levels have been pretty shocking to be honest, I get appealing to the mainstream but everything is focused around basically one player for every team, in between regular interviews with Southgate regardless of the match. You would like to expect a bit more in depth analysis on other members of the team, especially those that aren't based in the Premier League.
  10. Saka has provided a goal threat both for Arsenal and in this tournament plus I would suggest is more hard working looking back to helping Walker etc with Mbappe.
  11. The thing is, I know that Waggott has been made aware of the shambolic concourse service as I have seen the minutes in the fans forum. He has actively been given suggestions to improve it, I think he dismissed the idea of pre-pouring drinks and offered to look into bottle bars and they still remain unused.
  12. How? It wasn't a slight on Bellingham who is a great talent and should start too, I just think that Foden is fantastic, I love watching him play more than any other England player and he is so effective hence why Guardiola always picks him. I think that the balance of the team v Senegal was good and we should just go for the same again.
  13. Foden is the one above Bellingham and Saka for me as stand out, has to start.
  14. Injured apparently. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23179128.jon-dahl-tomasson-injury-update-five-blackburn-rovers-players/
  15. Pickering out at the weekend, not much of an alternative but Mola should come in, Edun really is crap. No Hedges and Brittain inverted wing back shite.
  16. Out of interest @1864roverite would you still stick by any of your statements that he is an "utter slug" a "maggott" "missing in action" "guilty of gross incompetence" and most importantly do you still want him out at the earliest possible opportunity?
  17. He has done well for England but I don't see how you can possibly drop Foden or Saka.
  18. Kaminski Brittain Hyam Wharton Pickering Travis Wharton Hedges Dack Brereton Gallagher Subs: Pears, Ayala, Buckley, Morton, Szmodics, Dolan, Markanday Simple team, no Hedges at wing back nonsense, get Dack and Hedges in attacking areas, and remove players not up to it from the squad.
  19. The first page of this thread is rather interesting...
  20. Around April time, you decided quite strongly and clearly like us all that Mowbray needed to be sacked. I presume that you went straight to the club at that point, rather than moaning on here?
  21. We can't drop Foden or Saka, surely the same team again.
  22. If struggling for a counter argument, accuse poster of moaning. Classic.
  23. Going back to the on the continent podcast, they made the point about France's "second string" not being far off their third team considering their absentees. Kingsley Coman is also a good gamechanger but I would probably choose our bench if I was picking. Both England and France go into Saturday having not been tested by a team at the same level so it is the ultimate acid test. France have recent history of strolling through early games in a tournament without getting close to third gear and it is easy to obsess too much over the fantastic Mbappe but there are plenty of other quality players against each other on both sides.
