The prices were cut by a slight amount and for only a short period of time, at which point we had just come off the back of a terrible season and were the last team to sign anyone with rumours circling regarding our off field position. By the time that any glimmer of positivity came back with a couple of signings, the prices comparatively were The comments from the fans forum are misleading.

To be honest, I am not convinced that Eustace himself is overly sure who he fancies on either side. He tried JRC, and since he cant get off the bench. He tried Hedges off the left, he was as ineffective as he is on the right so he has since been moved back. Clearly doesnt fancy Sigurdsson, and has tried Baker drifting in from the left which again hasnt worked. We badly needed to overhaul our wide options in the summer, and one failing IMO of our business was that we only managed to sign one who is a natural out there. Hedges 9 times out of 10 struggles to impact on games. And you have suggested Dolan where he doesnt play. Cozier Duberry is the obvious choice for me, I would go with Weimann on the other side. -
It isnt right, regardless of what happens elsewhere, and it has likely put a low ceiling on the potential season ticket sales. Waggott seems genuinely confused as to why no sales were really made once signings were made and we had started well. A baffling naivety towards the considerable price increase he set and in previous forum meetings refused to reconsider. Venkys continued ownership of this football has been a source of confusion pretty much since they sadly joined. But we have it in black and white from their pet snake Suhail that basically they are concentrating on more domestic businesses. That shows that Rovers are not anywhere near the forefront of their mind.

I wouldnt want Hedges to play, no. Nor Dolan on the right. -
There is such a lack of context regarding season tickets and I am not sure if it is purposeful manipulation or incompetent naivety, both of which are as bad as each other. The initial reduction doesnt factor in what the prices are before, or the fact that we live in one of the least affluent regions. But mainly, there were massive price hikes throughout the summer. Yes, a big reason for initial poor sales may have been a lack of transfer business. But why are they confused that when we did start signing players, for a small fraction of sales proceeds but ignoring that. People didnt then start suddenly buying considering the prices had since been massively increased. It at least helps with the narrative that price reductions arent sustainable, and im sure the relevant fan groups will lap it up.

- Venkys wont be coming over any time soon because, well, they have better things to be doing. - Season ticket sales are massively disappointing, but no awareness of why they predictably have dipped. - Why was a reasonable amount not made available for transfers? Well, its no guarantee of success, end of discussions. Obviously but it makes it easier.

I never suggested playing a left footer, I suggested Weimann who himself would drift inside. Not a natural wide man himself but not as unfamiliar with starting from that area. -

I never said I wanted to play traditional wingers. I just think that even with limited choices from the wide roles, that Baker would certainly not be someone I would want to play from there. -

But that is quite clearly what I am saying, that it isnt the best of use of that wide midfielder position. I am unsure why you are being so pedantic and making out like I just must not understand what his role is, especially when you yourself dont seem too convinced by him playing there yourself. He is playing on the left initially even if his role is clearly nothing like that of an orthodox wide man. But even drifting inside, I dont think that he has had any positive impact on the game in either of his first 2 appearances, he has been fairly anonymous. He also doesnt really provide any cover for Beck defensively and his set pieces (obviously irrelevant to his position) have been poor. We do have a weakness in terms of personnel to play left and right, Hedges and Dolan have proven over a number of years that they are more often than not ineffective themselves. -

No I dont, you keep wrongly interpreting that I must simply not understand what is being asked of him. He has been ineffective in both games. -

Its hard to pick an attack as Baker clearly cant play from the left and Hedges and Dolan havent earnt their place in the team. Pears Carter Batth Hyam Pickering Tronstad Travis Cozier Duberry Cantwell Weimann Ohashi -

Pears played his part in a second clean sheet and was fine but he didnt do anything really beyond 3 fairly routine saves. The second was the best of the 3 but even then, had that gone in then fingers would have been pointed. He certainly does not have Raya's "cat like qualities." -

Not many, no. Considering we struggled to create a meaningful chance all game against a side with 10 men for more than half of it. Was a poor performance. Obviously we didnt lose so thats one, but its hardly a badge of honour with a man advantage. A frustrating day. -

A really disappointing performance yesterday where we really struggled to create anything of note despite having an extra man for half of the game. I thought that Eustace got his team selection wrong by again playing Baker on the left. None of our attacking players came out of the game with any credit, Hedges isnt good enough to be a regular starter, Dolan again flattered to deceive and Ohashi couldnt get involved. Off the bench, Gueye was poor with a few poor touches and needless offsides and Cantwell doesnt look anywhere near fit. Cozier Duberry seems reluctant to take on his full back instead preferring to turn back and play a safe pass. -

It is the fault of the EFL/clubs mainly and also Sky, of course it is. Knowing the limitations of public transport, they should ensure as much as possible that match going fans arent left with as many difficulties attending games as they are. It isnt really increasing exposure by sticking on a league 1 or league 2 game as one of 7 all on at the same time. Spain has a totally different culture which is incomparable. During the day, it is too hot to have the same kick offs as we do over here. -

They repeatedly came back and won and/or won games very late during their title winning campaign. Unfortunately, it likely isnt luck. They have the best squad on paper and I think by far the most expensively assembled squad in the league, with loads of options to bring on if they need a goal. They had Sarmiento and Zian Flemming on the bench and the likes of Ramsey and Tresor who cost big money are injured/havent yet been re-integrated into the squad yet. -

Of course they are being shafted, loads of people are being inconvenienced, no thought is given to how difficult it then becomes to get to the game. Obviously there are massive issues with public transport, but leave tomorrows game at 3pm (still on TV) like most Sunday Championship games are and it becomes miles easier for supporters to travel over even if a train or 2 is cancelled. There have been regular instances where 2 northern teams have had games at Wembley in cup conpetitions where it has been impossible to go down on the train due to stupid kick off times, it should be considered when selecting games and times. I think you overestimate the potential good publicity and its importance. Especially domestically, we are merely a gap filler in a day of football where the whole focus is on the City v Arsenal game. But even if it did make people sit up and take notice, what tangible benefit will come from people praising us for winning a game away at Preston. I dont ask that we are never on TV. I of course watch plenty of football on TV myself, but we are well beyond the point of putting matches on whilst trying as best as they can to not disrupt match going fans. Multiple games all on at the same time, (including League 1 and 2 games that very few neutral fans would consider due to the range of options) kick off times and selections that cause serious issues around getting to games, and also often a situation where a club is repeatedly selected to move kick off times because there are no limits on showing the same team repeatedly, especially consectively. Was it the season before last where we had 1 home 3pm game in 4 or 5 months? Your point on people buying anyway, unfortunately that is part of the reason why prices of both tickets and TV packages keep going up. The loyalty of football fans can be taken advantage of. -

Thats the problem though, its all geared towards more money for the club which invariably floats to the top, with fans being shafted as collateral damage. It shouldnt be made so difficult for fans to attend such a local game using public transport. Why is the exposure so important to us? And will tomorrows game being on Sky provide loads of exposure? Say we win, as soon as the full time whistle goes, the focus will be on the next game with constant reminders that City are playing Arsenal at half 4. -

There is no way that the current situatuon regarding fixture changes can be justified. Obviously it stems and a huge chunk of the blame lies at the feet of the EFL and clubs for selling themselves out. But Sky also are the ones who want to show the games at these times regardless of the impact of matchgoing fans so they take some blame too. 6 or 7 games on a Saturday at half is a joke and makes little sense. Thats not including the Premier League game which presumably will have the most viewers. Assuming those who dont watch mainly are people who dont have TNT, there is no reason why there should be more than 1 game on Sky. The League 1 and 2 games in particular, how many neutrals are genuinely watching those games (bar chaddy, obviously)? Yet thousands are being inconveniencee to allow it to happen. Even if you said one game on a Saturday at half 12, one at half 5, 2 on Sunday (2 o clock and half 4) and at a push Monday and Friday night, you have got 6 slots there to play with. They should be split maybe as 3 Premier League games and 3 EFL games with only one game on in any slot. Two at a total maximum if they are on alternative channels. They should get rid of the Sunday at 12 kick off slot, because public transport at that time even locally will really hinder people. Its only the case because there is no SPL game. So our game is moved at clear widespread inconvience just to fill a gap. -

Regarding notice that sky give, if they put a few games at 3am but gave 6 months notice, would that be ok? Also, of course the whole situation isnt down to sky, clubs and the FA etc are all involved. But surely the choice of kick off is based on Sky's schedule, hence why some are moved seemingly dependant on if there is an SPL game. There has to be an element of responsibility on Sky to be reasonable with kick offs. Dinner time on a Sunday is always going to make transport so difficult. Also, there were 6 games on from the EFL at the same time today at dinner. Why are 6 games needed at the same time? -

Not good enough from him. He has had prior warning from Sky as to the change which should solve those problems, apparently. -
I guess that, especially considering the injuries he suffered which were the main reason that his career is not looked on how it may have been, rather than his choice of transfer. Most would give anything to have a career with the trophies/appearances at a club like United/England and World Cup appearances that he has. Those injuries are what ruined his career, not his choice of transfer.

What about smaller teams getting another chance to play the bigger sides and bring in some revenue? I always find it bizarre when people say rubbish about not being bothered that we are out especially when most league seasons will end up to be forgettable. An away game at Chelsea last season seemed to capture peoples imagination.
