  1. Exactly. Reading and Barnsley showing what a competent CEO can do with a few contacts on the continent and a bit of nous.
  2. Different opinions and all that but I watched them and couldn't believe how anyone wouldn't blame them! Why was Gallagher left to mark Pukki for the first and, whilst the second took a lucky deflection, the whole passage of play in the lead up to it was a shambles starting with Williams' weak attempt at a block on the half way line, Lenhian's weak attempt at a tackle on the edge of the box, Williams' poor clearance etc etc.
  3. I'd persevere with Douglas but he needs to start proving why he's so highly considered by Leeds and Wolves fans. I'm still not over that first goal v Reading to be honest. He's been awful so far, as bad going forward as in defence. Terrible set pieces, lightweight. Start showing us something please Barry.
  4. Well done for deleting that. His post was about as political as it gets. Presume that irony was lost on him.
  5. His distribution was very shaky last night too. Felt like a bit of an off night for him without ever really plumbing the depths of a Walton or a Pears, which is probably a good sign in itself. I'm convinced he's going to be lobbed by someone at some point though.
  6. Think we'll need to bring in some cover at right back. Would appear to be the most pressing issue.
  7. Council leader is "almost certain" the borough will be placed in tier three when national lockdown restrictions end on December 2. https://theshuttle.org.uk/leader-responds-to-governments-winter-covid-plan/ Personally don't think we'll see fans in Ewood for most of the season, certainly not until mass rollout of the vaccines.
  8. Highly likely Blackburn - and probably East Lancashire - will be put back into tier 3 so no fans will be allowed in at Rovers unfortunately. There will be (another) big north south divide here with many southern teams who will be in tier 1 + 2 areas undoubtedly getting an advantage by being able to have some home fans in.
  9. Is Gallagher the only major stick left to beat Mowbray with transfer-wise now?
  10. How big is this guy for us and how much extra must his resale value be already. Absolutely central to how we play and the stability of the defence.
  11. Why is the Greek kid not on the bench?
  12. Anyone take Paul Cook?
  13. Including his name lol
  14. 6th place lost 12 games last season and we've already lost three. With the pressure he's piling on himself, feels like shit or bust for TM this season.
  15. Convicted of using horrible homophobic gestures whilst playing for us. No thanks and good riddance.
  16. I know nothing you don't I'm sure but clearly the post-Coyle steadying of the ship has been a direct result of the influence of Mowbray on the entire club, including the owners. That's all fairly self-evident. Whether you think he's now taken us far as he can is up for debate.
  17. And that's thanks to TM, like him or not.
  18. The goalposts move again. Now one permanent signing "supplemented" by loans. Not one or the other.
  19. Ayala was Boro's top earner so this can be taken as read I think
  20. You can be assured what any of them say in public is vastly different to the conversations and actions going on behind the scenes
  21. Ah yeah, found it cheers. Funny.
  22. Are the Preston fans even aware of the bollock they've dropped here. Doesn't seem to be much chat on their message board. Bit about missing out on Arma.
  23. He's clearly forgotten Luton around the same time last season
  24. This isn't true. He refused to sign to an extension, as per Boro's local rag He was also their highest earner, so not sure what that says about what he's on here now.
  25. At least Trav's injury has happened now so we've a chance to bring in cover for him
