  1. Of the three most recent (I think) Championship managerial appointments - Watford, QPR and us, I'd take JDT over the other two based on his experience. Cautiously optimistic.
  2. Wouldn't mind Paul Warne if we're plucking from the lower leagues. Better CV than Manning and the guy Watford have gone for.
  3. Classic JR finish. Good on him.
  4. How long was Mowbray in jobs before Rovers? Can't be more than a few years from memory.
  5. The away fans were chanting Mowbray is our King today. If the most hardcore fans are still behind him, Ewood isn't turning anytime soon.
  6. I know you're not saying this but I see that 'careful what you wish/who's gonna come in that's better' argument a lot among the performatively positive element of our fanbase and, for me, it's such nonsense. A new guy would literally only have to get us in midtable to, at worst, match Mowbray and with our facilties/ground/relative resources I would expect ANY competent manager to be able to achieve that. Roll the feckin dice!
  7. Sean Dyche just been potted by the Dingles. Take him over Mowbray all day long.
  8. Just want him gone now. Head is bruised and bloody from banging it against a brick wall. Don't care if we miss out on the playoffs if it hastens his departure. In fact I'd take it if I knew it'd mean he'd definitely be gone.
  9. Sack him tonight and bring in Daniel Farke with a huge bonus if he gets us up.
  10. Sheff United, Boro, Huddersfield and Forest sounds like a pretty likely playoff 4 to me, unfortunately.
  11. 4 points in it from 4th down to 10th, many with a game or two in hand.
  12. Absolutely nothing up front. So demoralising.
  13. The point is they told everyone the game was definitely on an hour ago. Plenty will have travelled on that basis. If there was always an element of doubt remaining they should have said. Terrible comms from Rovers.
  14. Second was always a pipe dream. Target is top 6. If we make it, great. Let's see how the chips fall. If not, it should mean the end of the Mowbray era and we can try and kick on with some fresh ideas next season.
  15. Bruce's first home game this. Crap timing.
  16. I fear we can no longer rely on Rothwell for the same reasons Hedges said his performances for Aberdeen were greatly affected after interest from us.
  17. Seriously? BBD scored against Argentina the other night, pretty sure he'd had buried both sitters present to Buckley and Lenihan.
  18. We'll either go up or he'll be gone at the end of the season. Some kind of relief.
  19. On the players this tonight. Giles-aside, absolutely braindead.
  20. "Rovers have a contingency plan in place in anticipation of a Rothwell exit but you can't have one without the other. Mowbray affirmed 'they would be stupid' if they were to sanction Rothwell's departure without some form of guarantee on the incoming front and the club already have a variety of options in mind." Expectations have been set. Up to the club to make this Rothwell move a disaster or an opportunity.
