  1. Sounds like the sort of mistakes young players make and hopefully learn from. More than happy for them to do it in England colours, they will be better players in blue and white for it.
  2. No. You pay a higher initial payment, it’s about an extra £40 on top of your first instalment. Not something the club have any control over I should add.
  3. Sign in to your online ticket account and you’ll see a renewal option for season tickets next season. Mine in the Riverside is down to £379. 20 quid reduction. Not the pricing structure I’d have hoped for, but could’ve been worse.
  4. A few weeks back Waggott told members of the Rovers Trust board that the primary reason for this was that they see our home form as being key to securing a playoff spot, and they want to give the team every advantage they can. No specific discussions around what tier they were going in, but he told us they were getting less tickets than they gave us, and that Burnley were not happy with him and it categorically was not a police decision.
  5. They’ll be telling the story for years to come about this 50/50 divide in the fanbase… how a quarter of a million boycotted, and a quarter of a million were dotted around the home ends.
  6. There were about 15,000 of them dotted around Ewood in every game for the last 20 odd years, if they are to believed.
  7. Despite what the police say, selling 7,000 tickets with no bubble restrictions would be absolute lunacy - particularly considering what could be riding on this match. It’s a responsible call by Rovers, despite the thinly veiled threats of hooliganism from Dingle troll fantasists - like that does anything but validate Rovers’ decision anyway.
  8. I’m pretty sure we relocated season ticket holders from the Darwen End to accommodate them on more than one occasion in the not too distant past. This is a much better stance.
  9. It wouldn’t matter if we’d given them 20,000 tickets, you’d still have a load of empty headed fantasists claiming they had tickets in the home end and we’re going to “take over” and “embarrass us on and off the pitch”. Their Walter Mitty element is unrivalled. However, if any of them are daft enough to pay £100 for what basically amounts to a quarter of a season ticket, fine. They’ll end up ejected/arrested unless they stay sat on their hands and keep their mouths shut.
  10. I couldn’t believe how bad QPR were against Blackpool, and a narrow defeat to Birmingham will have been demoralising. They’ve got Wigan next which is an absolute must win, then a tough run in. I was hoping Ainsworth would work out for them, but I think Warnock will out do him unfortunately.
  11. Up - Dingles, Boro, Rovers Down - Wigan, QPR, Reading/Blackpool
  12. I think skipping past wingers and getting crosses in is his strong point. Defensive duties are not though. A good attacking option off the bench, a bad defensive one.
  13. There was some real moronic behaviour on show yesterday. We had a bag pisser on our coach too, though he waited til we were approaching Darwen on the way back. Kids, and I literally mean children, snorting coke along with the “responsible adults” they were attending with. And judging by the smell of him, one severely intoxicated bloke who was struggling to stand in front of us had shit himself at some point prior to kick off. South Yorkshire police were also a disgrace - no surprise. What a good idea to basically encourage all home and away fans to converge on the same street immediately after full time. Plenty of officers then seemed very happy to antagonise an already powder-keg situation, and a few were loving throwing their weight around. On the flip side though I thought it was fantastic seeing more diversity amongst our travelling support than I’ve ever known before. The recent work the club have been doing in this area deserves huge credit.
  14. Watched the entire game back again and it just served to confirm what I thought from the stand. For 80 minutes we were brilliant and every player was good to excellent. When they went to a back 4 and we went to a 5 it all changed. Brittain was a liability when he came on and Morton disgraced himself.
  15. I was absolutely gutted when their winner went in, but I’m no longer disappointed but really angry. Morton is a disgrace. I thought he was feigning injury at the time, replay confirms it. Unforgivable from him and I hope his teammates let him know. Ship him back to Liverpool. The subs didn’t help either, for all the reasons previously stated on here. Brittain has been effective when brought on when we are chasing a game, but disastrous when we are hanging on. Big question marks over his defensive abilities. Aside from that it was a really good performance. I thought we were good value for the win and until the changes we were wholly comfortable. Special mention to Travis - he really stepped up today and was superb. Thought the ref was garbage… about the only thing he got right was ignoring Morton’s cheating. I’d love to beat that lot in the playoffs and I’d really fancy our chances over 2 legs.
  16. Thanks Erling! Paid for my ticket and coach, and a pint and a pie too!
  17. Boro winning convincingly might be a distraction for Sheff Utd tomorrow, fingers crossed. Can’t complain about todays set of results at all!
  18. I haven’t looked forward to a game so much in years and honestly think I’ll struggle to sleep tonight. I wasn’t going to go, but I’ve changed my plans now so I can attend. It’ll be a tough game, but I think we will be fired up for it with a massive, noisy away following. On our day we are a match for anyone. I fancy our chances.
  19. I thought tonight was Morton’s best performance in a while. Not every pass came off, as you’d expect, but he was willing to get on the ball and generally used it well. I do have concerns over his willingness to do his bit defensively though.
  20. Brilliant that! Another very enjoyable evening at Ewood, the days of it feeling like a chore are becoming a distant memory. Szmodics was absolutely superb, Travis excellent too. Everyone played their part, and while we should’ve won a lot more comfortably the three points were never in doubt. Can’t wait for Sunday!
  21. Wiki is a bit out. Riverside is actually over 5k. 27 rows, 202 seats per row, less a few at one side.
  22. And the comment you are quoting acknowledges this.
