  1. You know we’ve got zero footballing ability in the squad when the two players stood over a 20 yard freekick are Forshaw and McLaughlin. Seriously, it’s absolutely laughable
  2. Miller at least has some redeeming qualities at this level - McLaughlin is never a championship centre back in a million years. Both a drop off from Hyam, Batth, Wharton, Carter (admittedly the latter two are crocks)
  3. Just what we deserve. Worst performance I can remember for a long long long time.
  4. Yep, better 2nd half as we’re getting ball wide to Alebiosu and Hedges. All our chances have come from a cross out wide. If you can stop that, you completely nullify us
  5. Get Gueye on if all we’re doing is launching it. Gudjohnson has missed two sitters already. I’d stick on De Neve too I think.
  6. Agree completely. I’d be making a load of changes right now - nothing can be worse than that 1st half
  7. As soon as our wingbacks are taken out the game we’re pretty awful. Absolutely nothing through the centre of the pitch
  8. Absolutely skinned again. Get him off before he picks up a red
  9. McLaughlin is so bad. He can barely pass or even move. Similar with TGH, I don’t think he’s completed a pass yet. Both are well below standards
  10. Swansea are in free-fall, would be a nice team to drop as it's miles from anywhere. If we can trade Norwich / Pompey / Swansea for a Stockport / Bolton / Huddersfield / Bradford I'd be delighted!
  11. Yeah that Ipswich match has fucked us in so many ways, really is an unwanted addition to an already clustered period. We want to be as fit as possible for Wednesday (H), Oxford (H), Pompey (A), Millwall (H) over a 2 week period in December - 4 games we'll probably be favourites in all 4!
  12. Some good results for us looking backwards, Norwich and Oxford draw and Swansea lose. In terms of mid-table (where I think we truly rank), PNE and Watford draw and Charlton, Hull and Leicester lose. I think Coventry and Ipswich will cruise the top 2 after Christmas. Boro, Stoke, Saints, Birmingham to make up the top 6. The likes of PNE, Hull, Millwall, Bristol City, Derby are miles off those mentioned above IMO.
  13. 7 games before Christmas, 5 of them at home - not sure if that’s a good thing this season 😂 5 of the 7 are also bottom half sides, 4 of them below us in the table - again not sure if that’s a good thing this season!! Either way, I think it’ll be an interesting month for us, we have a really good chance to push on to the edge of the playoffs - we’d be set in 11th if the Ipswich result held, and beaten all 3 relegated teams. 7 games in 22 days though including yesterday, the squad can’t take many more injuries!
  14. 2nd best away record in the league
  15. North Ends big day out and the stadium was half empty with 10 mins to go. PNE have been in a false position all season. They’re bottom half dross, but good to see they got excited ahead of this game. Clear red card at the end, for the foul or the foul and reaction, take your pick, but with this referee I’m surprised he even blew for a free kick. Surprised people were giving the midfield and Montgomery specifically a slagging at half time, I thought we controlled about 80% of that match
  16. I’m yet to see any good performances IMO. Turns like the titanic, terrible with the ball at his feet, easily turned by anyone half decent. Still cannot get over a back 3 of him, Miller and Hedges.
  17. I think it’s gross negligence now if we see any of Hendrikson, Tavares or Forshaw starting ahead of Montgomery for the remainder of the season. I’m seeing absolutely nothing from TGH either. Centre midfield is incredibly weak, as is centre back. Pretty flimsy “spine”
  18. It’s this seasons version of “Bradley Johnson false 9”
  19. Absolute madness isn’t it. A back 3 of Miller, McLoughlin and Hedges. Comical stuff when you see it written down
  20. Yeah just checked the map and BBE and JWE look to have sold well. Absolutely loads left in the Riverside though and BBE Upper not open
  21. Boro are 2/1 Promotion Wolves are 4/1 To Stay Up i.e. right now Boro are more likely than Wolves to be playing in the top tier next season Interesting choice for him. Wolves is a bit of a free hit - nobody will blame him if they go down and he’d have a big Championship budget to play with the season after But Boro is a great place to manage, they have a good owner who will back you and give you time (Carrick was there a while). Similar-ish stuff happened with Kieran McKenna when Ipswich were flying. He stayed and took them up, now they’re back fighting to get in top 6 again in the Championship.
  22. Does anybody know how sales are looking for this?
  23. He wasn’t even in the squad and it’s a hamstring injury isn’t it? Be mental to risk him with the international break coming, let the lad properly recover (that’s if he’s even close to coming back anyway)
