Absolutely dire. We’ve done nothing this 2nd half despite being behind. Uninspiring changes, no instructions from the sidelines. Preston wanted it more than us. I’d be fuming if I was Gallagher. Not sure how anybody can defend that decision and the 15 mins or so he was right back. I’m sick of it, so many better options out there who can take this squad to the top 6 but we carry on plodding along mid-table with Tony and I’m reading articles about how he’s the oracle who is guiding Pep, Carlo and Klopps youngsters.

Poor first 25, decent final 20. Travis has looked as good as we’ve seen since his return. Not sure Davenport is the right fit for this game. Personally would have Trybull in there with Travis and bring Dack on for Rothwell and Brereton for Gallagher. Glad we got into the game though as it was tough to watch at the start.

Should be 4231 but I’m expecting it to be 433 for 65 minutes producing absolutely nothing just like the last few weeks. Don't mind seeing Gallagher play after his impact last time out but it needs to be in the correct position (it won’t be) Big game and one a top 6 side wins.

Certainly favourites over Stoke, Boro, Bristol City. Not sure if we can catch any of the 6 in there currently though. Screams out 7th and another season for Mowbray to me.

Decent first 10 mins. Rubbish for the next 50 mins then decent again at the end. The 4 subs were all superior to who they replaced. Would think a few of them deserve a start next week. Kaminski was brilliant again. Another clean sheet for Brainthwaite and Lenihan. Will give them confidence. Douglas was solid - got skinned at the end and almost gave a penalty away, otherwise he was decent.

Superb from Holtby and Gallagher for the goal and Armstrong in the right place. 2 chances first half with balls across the middle and nobody there because it was Arma playing it in. He does have a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Strikers instinct

Best half I’ve seen from Douglas to be fair. Thought he did okay against Boro too. Obviously neither are the most attacking teams in the league. Travis’ best half since injury too Dack on at half time for Brereton or Rothwell. Neither are really getting in to the game at all.

What? We were shocking until the goal, set up was terrible and the Buckley sub was so bad he subbed him again. I’ll give you that the 3 subs of Dack, Gallagher and Brereton were good though. Looked more in control then - though could have been as Boro lost it after conceding.

We looked awful until the goal, not sure if it was the stuffing knocked out of them, or the subs we made. Should have been a red and a penalty. The starting line up was completely wrong as was the Buckley sub. I just don’t understand what goes through his head at times. Kaminski - Such a great signing. Another strong performance. MOTM for me Branthwaite - Should have been a red and penalty. Hopefully he puts it behind him and the clean sheet breeds confidence. Buckley - Well off the pace, he should have been the 4th choice sub after Brereton (move Rothwell), Dack and Trybull. Dack - Looked quality, embarrassing all the prematch doubt from Joe and Chaddy. Great through ball for Gallagher where Armstrong should have scored. He’s comfortably our best player alongside Elliott and needs to start Armstrong - I thought he put in a decent shift today. Had some pretty good chances, 2 very good ones and fluffed them both completely. Never a £30m player but he’s good and easily our best striking option. Douglas - Clearly has his flaws but he’s so much better than Bell. More comfortable on the ball and offers something going forward (2 layoffs to Arma and a chance for himself today). Brereton and Gallagher both played well coming on too. Not really sure what Davenport offers us, what style of midfielder he is - likely would have got some stick here if it wasn’t for Buckley.
