  1. Only lost once since
  2. True - but they are a top 3 squad for sure and that bad start has held them back. A victory against us midweek and they have a better PPG than us, and I know who I’d fancy to finish higher with the remaining 13 or so matches. They also seem to have an abundance of home matches left (9 of their 15)
  3. 2/3 going our way now. Sheffield United to pip Bournemouth to 2nd in my eyes (unless Rovers somehow dent their run midweek) Fulham, Sheff United and Bournemouth are in, fight for the other 3 spots in my eyes.
  4. Well let’s just sit back and cheer on results around us! Come on Bristol City, Swansea and Hull!
  5. Then delay to 15:15 kick off? Or 15:30?
  6. It’s unacceptable. Club with undersoil heating, put a bloody cover over the pitch in preparation of the storm. Nah we’ll just have 4 people and a few shovels put in 20 minutes
  7. Same team I’d pick back Dolan for Gallagher. Will be a joke if they call this off at 14:15!
  8. Do we not have a cover for the pitch? I know the snow may have been a bit unpredictable, but I always think the same for heavy rain.
  9. Yeah and to follow up my post I actually like the false 9 and agree it’s been a mainstay of our great run. My concern was around one of the wide forwards being Gallagher (not used in our great run). I’d much rather see Dolan played there, or Khadra if TM can get him to lift his head and pass. It’s based on stretching the opposition, and suits our non-possession, counter attacking style more (and worked for 10 unbeaten games)
  10. 5th for me Sheff Utd and Boro to finish above us Either QPR or Forest to take 6th.
  11. I don’t recall Gallagher playing on the wing when we went on the incredible run. Looking at it, he was injured and not on the bench for the first 5 unbeaten, then from Bournemouth onwards (the next 5 unbeaten) he started on the bench for all of them. The first game he came back to start I hear you ask…Hull away, where we lost 2-0 and ended our 10 game unbeaten league run, since then he’s started 4 of the 6 matches and we’ve (it was Gally) scored 1 goal in those 6 So I’ll stick with my post that you quoted… everyone can see Gallagher on the wing doesn’t work, except Tony Mowbray.
  12. Gallagher was a waste of space all match again. He should never be starting a match for us unless we are crippled with injuries. I’ve never seen a man that size so weak Nyambe was superb, it’s a travesty that he’ll be leaving for a free, makes last matches shambles even worse with Mowbray refusing to play him and chose to bring hedges on instead of him. Pickering to come straight back in at LWB, not seen anything from Giles to suggest he’s better.
  13. Waste of space Khadra. Too greedy, needs to be behind Dolan in the pecking order (played in the correct position)
  14. Please tell me it’s not Dolan at wing back
  15. Would have rather seen Dolan than Khadra
  16. JRC is a red card waiting to happen now he’s on a booking. Mowbray needs to hook him at HT really
  17. Fair play Sky slamming how ridiculous it is playing Gallagher on the wing. Everyone knows it but the man in charge
  18. 3 x CBs brilliant. Especially Wharton and special shout to Nyambe who has been solid defensively despite worries from some against Carroll. Poor from the rest of them after the 1st 10 minutes. Passing all over the show and crossing horrendous They are there for the taking too. Hopefully he doesn’t wait too long for Khadra and Dolan It’s the kind of game game where if Dack was playing he’d almost be in our own box trying to pick the ball up because nobody else can string a pass together.
  19. Swinging a big diagonal to JRC just isn’t going to work.
  20. West Brom are odds on for this, any away win in this league is massive, but this feels like a huge one to put a big gap between ourselves and a playoff rival. Hopefully we get back to sticking the ball in the net tonight, as 2 goals in the last 7 league games is nowhere near good enough I must have looked at a different forum/chat, as they were all pretty down beat and expecting nothing! (westbrom.com/forum)
  21. Dembele this, Dembele that…some people thought we were going to be lining up with Elliott and Solanke on Valentines day!! Bournemouth have gone shit or bust with a clown as manager. Failure to go up this year and they will be lower leagues for the next 20. Nothing club, massive losses, parachute payments.
  22. That’s why I said decent, almost brilliant. I.e brilliant with 10 minutes to go
  23. My concern is the fact that Boro, Forest, QPR, Sheff Utd are flying without even including West Brom with a new manager. We will finish above Huddersfield but could easily finish behind those 5 leaving us 8th. A decent day for us today though overall. Almost brilliant. Sheff Utd have only played 12 home games too, I think they comfortably take a playoff spot now.
  24. Just perfectly highlights why we won’t finish 2nd. January
