Yeah and to follow up my post I actually like the false 9 and agree it’s been a mainstay of our great run. My concern was around one of the wide forwards being Gallagher (not used in our great run). I’d much rather see Dolan played there, or Khadra if TM can get him to lift his head and pass. It’s based on stretching the opposition, and suits our non-possession, counter attacking style more (and worked for 10 unbeaten games)

5th for me Sheff Utd and Boro to finish above us Either QPR or Forest to take 6th.

I don’t recall Gallagher playing on the wing when we went on the incredible run. Looking at it, he was injured and not on the bench for the first 5 unbeaten, then from Bournemouth onwards (the next 5 unbeaten) he started on the bench for all of them. The first game he came back to start I hear you ask…Hull away, where we lost 2-0 and ended our 10 game unbeaten league run, since then he’s started 4 of the 6 matches and we’ve (it was Gally) scored 1 goal in those 6 So I’ll stick with my post that you quoted… everyone can see Gallagher on the wing doesn’t work, except Tony Mowbray.

Gallagher was a waste of space all match again. He should never be starting a match for us unless we are crippled with injuries. I’ve never seen a man that size so weak Nyambe was superb, it’s a travesty that he’ll be leaving for a free, makes last matches shambles even worse with Mowbray refusing to play him and chose to bring hedges on instead of him. Pickering to come straight back in at LWB, not seen anything from Giles to suggest he’s better.

Waste of space Khadra. Too greedy, needs to be behind Dolan in the pecking order (played in the correct position)

3 x CBs brilliant. Especially Wharton and special shout to Nyambe who has been solid defensively despite worries from some against Carroll. Poor from the rest of them after the 1st 10 minutes. Passing all over the show and crossing horrendous They are there for the taking too. Hopefully he doesn’t wait too long for Khadra and Dolan It’s the kind of game game where if Dack was playing he’d almost be in our own box trying to pick the ball up because nobody else can string a pass together.

Swinging a big diagonal to JRC just isn’t going to work.

My concern is the fact that Boro, Forest, QPR, Sheff Utd are flying without even including West Brom with a new manager. We will finish above Huddersfield but could easily finish behind those 5 leaving us 8th. A decent day for us today though overall. Almost brilliant. Sheff Utd have only played 12 home games too, I think they comfortably take a playoff spot now.
