  1. Surely we bounce back at Southampton away thanks to our state of the art leased coach keeping the players fresh on such a long journey
  2. Fair enough for Ennis, although he’s moved like a tractor in those 5 appearances. But Markanday has been here for years, think we might have even paid a million for him. We just cannot be relying on the likes of these guys if we have any hope of promotion.
  3. They’re league 1 at best, and that’s pushing it for Markanday. Have no right to be on our bench.
  4. Are you not still meant to get a yellow for jumping in the stand?
  5. I think the Brittain wing experiment needs to end. The end product is pretty woeful (he is a defender so no blame). Play him RB where he can then link up with midfield, not in midfield where he has to create around the box.
  6. Adam Wharton having a brilliant game, unfortunately plenty of mistakes in the others, notably the back 4
  7. We need a big performance here to take anything from this. JDTs academy lads and freebies vs millions (must be close to or over £100m) worth at Leeds.
  8. Can we bin this nonce please Mods?
  9. Just really hoping there isn’t some low buy out clause in the contract like Phillips had (appreciate they’re very different scenarios so I doubt it). Great news though assuming there is no curve ball like that. If only we had some form of budget the last 12 months to add to the very good pieces we already have
  10. Only 4 European countries at the Olympics seems strange anyway. Not sure if it’s always been like that. Some good nations missing out.
  11. Some shockers from Raya tonight. I hope that agreement is binding for our little sum! They’ve had a shocker paying that much for a keeper whose stats really were not that good at Brentford. Just the obvious myth that he’s good with ball at feet as he’s Spanish (he isn’t).
  12. Just checking it now…. Wednesday, Plymouth, Ipswich this season all lost already away Rotherham, Wigan, Sunderland last season we lost all 3 away from home Peterborough, Hull, Blackpool the season before that, we lost all 3 away from home Year before that we drew 1, lost 1, won 1. So it’s now 9 games we’ve lost in a row to the promoted league 1 teams away from home. Just shows how weak we are really
  13. I think the commentators said we have lost the last 8 games away from home to promoted league 1 sides (it was something along these lines). Absolutely sums up Blackburn Rovers under Venkys
  14. Should have been 2 yellows for that lad. 1 for the tackle. 1 for gobbing at both player and referee (oh and the 4 other horrible tackles he’s put in)
  15. Disgraceful refereeing. What can you do though when the standard is just so horrific and the same pleps get rolled out each week.
  16. Half way in and I’ve counted 0
  17. Under/Over 5.5 touches for the non-league German in these 10 mins. I’d be backing the unders
  18. Felt a bit soft to me. This keeper is dire though, another one under his body
  19. We deserved that. Well done lads!!
  20. The referee was staring straight at that challenge on Szmodics. Disgraceful. The standard of referees is at an all time low (and I remember the decisions in the fergie days!!!)
  21. Not sure how we haven’t scored in these last 5 minutes. Szmodics pass blocked to Leonard, Carter block on the line and Szmodics weak chance after Leonard’s pass then almost an OG on Leonard’s final cross
  22. Shocking from all 3 CBs. Hill with a poor header, Carter letting the cross in far too easily and Wharton losing the man in the middle. Dreadful defending
  23. Team pretty much picks itself with the injuries / suspensions: Leo Brittain Carter Hill Pickering Tronstad Wharton Szmodics Moran Leonard Sigurdsson The only other option would be Garrett in midfield in place of Siggy/Leonard with Szmodics in the front 3
  24. Yeah correct, £10 I believe then too. Jack Walker and lower BBE were sold out (think it was just under 19k but there were barely any Wigan fans there). It was also unfortunately the night Bradley Dacks premier league dreams ended. 0-0 draw though for all those floating fans! I’d expect us to beat 20k here though, in better form, playing better football, community behind it, Saturday 3pm and I’d expect Watford to bring more than / as many as Wigan (even though Watford don’t particular take many themselves). If we were playing Leeds / Sunderland we’d be getting 25k+
  25. I feel this match will say a lot about our season. Defeat (and arguably a draw) would feel like “same old Rovers” and just isn’t something a team with Top 6 aspirations end up with. Victory means the decent form continues, and has the potential to push us into the playoff places if Hull fail to beat Watford.
