Not seen much that’s been pretty to my eyes 😂 Wharton, Moran and Leonard on at HT for me. Needs a proper shake up. -

Wharton certainly looking the better of our two CBs -

?? He was pretty much an ever-present in JDTs first season. Played 50 games, top scorer and 1 goal in 3 games (in his supposed fall away season too) -

It's close, but looks onside to me by probably the RB, if not the right CB. The build up play was superb though, the 3 RBs working their magic -

Such variance in this league it shows you can go on a run of losses / run of wins which may or may not be deserved (see Forest 2 years ago, Boro and Coventry last year, and to a certain extent ourselves and more so Boro this season) I’d argue we were actually playing better in some of those losses than the recent wins, but all that matters are the results!! And in fairness JDT is hampered by injuries, mainly in the striker department. Another great opportunity at home next. Let’s have a comfortable winning margin for that one please. I think we’ll be above PNE after our game with them. Players: Callum Brittain is the first name on the team sheet right now. He’s playing superb and chuffed for him with that goal! Szmodics with great effort again, all the way down to the 90th minute with that challenge on the near side. Keen for Leonard to come back in and take that #9 pressure off him. Hill - I don’t think it’s a coincidence we’ve looked more reassuring defensively since he’s come in. Full of energy bursting forwards too - great loan signing Pleasing 3 points to take our minds of training ground sales for a night at least -

Himself and Hill have been our best players this half in my opinion. -

He’s a lot smaller than I imagined this keeper. Think maybe I just have Kaminski’s height in my mind. Looks a bit of a midget in the goal, few flapped punches over the last few weeks and a howler tonight. Doesn’t bode well. Feel for the fans there, we’ll struggle to get back into this game with 3 RBs and no striker or creativity in the team. -

This league is essentially 3 good teams (Leicester, Ipswich, Leeds), 3 shite teams (Wednesday, QPR, Rotherham). Then a load of meh in the middle. Certainly 2 or 3 playoff spots up for grabs, I’d imagine Southampton, Boro, Norwich will be favourites for them but no reason we can’t throw our name in the hat. 6 points between 7th and 21st. Having said all that, I thought we were pretty average today, got a lucky decision 1st half, missed a sitter 2nd half but took the 3 points and that’s all that matters. Absolutely hate how pathetic we look when a goal up though. Seriously lacking leaders on the pitch. -

We don’t have a clue what we’re doing here now. Right decision to hook JRC, some atrocious output going forwards and tracking back poorly too. Thankfully a weak hand on his goal and we can hopefully sort our setup out again and take the 3 points. -

Impressed by Trondstad. Not so much anyone else on the pitch. I’d be livid if that goal was disallowed against us, Hyam and Carter are very weak at defending the box for crosses. -

Sam Szmodics-Your thoughts?

They are optimistic about the future with Evan Ferguson and Nathan Collins, and then potentially the likes of Moran and Kelleher (if he ever leaves Liverpool). Besides, every other nation around will qualify for these International tournaments soon. 48 teams are going to be at the 2030 World Cup. Surely even Ireland can manage that! Hopefully Sammie comes back with no injuries and a nice big boost to his confidence and happiness in the game. -
Here’s a 2nd verse too… Who brought him here so, The man who played in the San Siro, And now he’s our Rovers hero, Jon Dahl Tomasson @SBlue I struggled for the first line and syllables in the second line of this…so any alternatives are much appreciated (can also go in the bin too) - but I always prefer it when we have a 2nd verse so the chant doesn’t fizzle out https://youtu.be/9BPLqGH6spA?si=p3-Aw0kobknxeju- 40 seconds in to this for the tune

Fair enough, just trying to get other suggestions going. Anything is better than the usual morgue or dum dum dum dum dum *insert striker* (Newcastle fans belt out the She’s Electric one)

Few pints and tonight’s Rugby for myself. Someone posted it during the match but the first goal feels so crucial (not sure if that’s generic in the league or just our team and our heads dropping). The past 4 games we’ve had loads of chances to take that lead and then instead get hit with a sucker punch, leading to us completely losing the plot (Sunderland in particular). 3 very winnable games coming up, shame about the pointless Int. Break, gives us some recovery time and we should be aiming for a maximum return from those fixtures.
