Yeah agree. Moran a Brighton lad so will instantly be favoured over Szmodics by managers like Kenny. Top scorer in this league deserves to be in that squad though for sure

We’re a weird team, it feels like we lack quality in areas then I see Travis, Moran and Brittain coming off the bench and think this must be a pretty good squad!

It was proper variance there, all stats showed they were scraping undeserved wins (sort of the opposite of ourselves). They’ll be back to the usual mid-table finish.

Markanday has such a good nick for winning the ball back, he’s starting to get a bit more confidence and is looking better every game.

I know it’s said tongue in cheek to gain a reaction, but around this stage of Mowbrays stint he was just handed £12m to spend on strikers….then we had another 3 years of nothingness with them.

Yeah the ref was bizarre. He gave us a free kick for a perfect tackle on Moran that was literally 1 yard in front of him. Coventry didn’t look up too much. £15m of strikers looked pretty average, just unfortunately our team of pocket change and academy grads looked even worse!

Sigurdsson after a great first touch has just cost us 3 points there. You have to square that for an easy tap in. I’d expect that decision making from Dolan but not Sigurdsson.

Frustrating that with 1 minute to go in the half we have a free kick in an area we can stick it in for our 3 cbs but we play it short and back to our own half. Coventry doing what we should have here. Thankfully shocking output from them

Quality has been really low with Dolan and Markanday out wide (unsurprisingly). Wharton having a good game in my opinion, Moran also bright and seems very good at nicking the ball of the opponent. Brittain again very good

The line up is giving me the Burnley away vibes where we moved players around with Mola coming in and Hedges at full back.

We desperately desperately need 3 centre midfielders. How can this not be seen. Teams are walking through us in the middle.

Tough game tonight, mid-week away from home after a run of losses in a close space of time and a big injury list. We're rightly decent underdogs, but a win would be massive ahead of a very winnable trip to QPR to get the season rolling. Nothing to fear with Coventry, if we're playing as open as we have we just have to pray someone sticks a few in the net in the 1st half!
