  1. Can’t reiterate enough how much JDT may have cost us not playing him for those months because he was on the mega drive late at night.
  2. So now we’re not going up and Wharton is definitely not here next year 😂
  3. Swansea and Rovers dicking around at the back and West Brom and Millwall lead.
  4. It’s textbook Rovers over the last 10 years. Never look interested and 2nd to everything in a game that matters
  5. Said it week after week after week. Horrendous team whenever anyone gets the ball in from throws/corners/crosses. It’s cost us all season long. Rubbish Rovers, absolutely rubbish.
  6. Yep - as expected already flapping at anything launched into the box. A certain weakness of Hyam (and obviously Pears)
  7. Really concerns me this. Multiple recent goals conceded from either set pieces or crosses.
  8. The Box or Pinnacle will have it on if you’re in the city centre. Both have loads of screens in ‘sports bar’ style If you’re up near Brudenell way then Original Oak in headingley (or most Headingley pubs) would have it on id imagine. There is a Box in Headingley too but the city centre one is better.
  9. Prediction: Swansea beat West Brom Sunderland go behind to PNE and we take the lead....hopes are built up, as the in-play table has us 6th..... Sunderland then go on to win with some late goals, and take 6th place (thankful for their 95th minute equaliser last weekend) It hurts that just avoiding either the PNE (95th min own goal) or Coventry (93rd minute keeper scoring) would have meant today would be in our own hands. If we'd avoided both, then the top 6 would already be confirmed! EDIT: that last bit is wrong actually as Millwall and Coventry would still be able to finish above us.
  10. Hahaha Chaddy only positive about the fact that people who paid for tickets were then not allowed to enter the event 😂 I couldn’t believe it when I read that tweet. Absolute shambles of an operation down there. The comments earlier too about recent attendances not being good…..if we were regularly getting 16k home fans that would be very good given how long we’ve been in this league now, and we’d get a few 20k+ attendances with the stadium feeling pretty full and atmosphere bouncing. To do that regularly though we need 14k-15k or so season ticket holders! We’ll probably limp to 9k as they’re the MOST EXPENSIVE IN LANCASHIRE! (And about to get £50 more expensive despite the season not even being over yet)
  11. Can’t remember where I saw it but yeah you’re right it looks dubious. Probably one of those ‘estimates’ someone picked up on Pretty sure they still rank towards the bottom of the league overall (and point still stands around owners/directors/board with braincells!)
  12. Unfortunately likely. Though we seem to be getting a better hold of both those things from albeit a horrible low under Kean. I read last night that Brightons wage bill is £28m (19th out of the 20 in the league), it was like 1/10th of Uniteds. Incredible effort, and shows what you can build when people running the show actually have a brain.
  13. If it is an extra £4.5m extra income (as said above) for this we should be instantly offering £200 or £230 season tickets (£10 a game as the marketing message). At risk of decimating (half way there anyway) our match going fan base otherwise!
  14. It can’t just be a coincidence can it? And surely we don’t pull in the highest viewers for Sky. Just seems so odd, are we proactively pushing to be on TV for the bits of extra income. 20 times vs 7 Coventry or 5 Stoke (the two of of those both televised when they played us!) or 12 Boro.
  15. Kaminski Brittain - Carter - Hyam - Pickering JRC - Wharton - Travis Thomas - ??? - Szmodics Back to 3 in the middle - no idea who starts upfront, maybe even have to go for Gally if fit!
  16. Yeah - obviously they’ve not been very mentally aware of the last 12 years. Imagine getting 10 games out of Wharton then selling him to some Crystal Palace type and being happy about a few mill to pay off Venkys debt.
  17. If this is Adam Wharton or Ash Phillips then I want Waggot and Broughton’s head on a stick and then I want to use that stick to beat the living daylight out of anyone in the Rao family. Shame on you with your heads in the sand (admittedly not many of this forum)
  18. My view is that I’d understand the project/building if we had any sort of pot to piss in. Similar to last year we have to take these opportunities as it could always be a relegation scrap next year with our owners/board/squad. I must admit, it hurt me more last year, automatics were an actual possibility in the new year and we looked like we could beat anybody at one point. This year, everything suggested we weren’t a top 6 team (“but we’re in 4th?”) and eventually we regressed to the mean (a 10th-ish placed side)
  19. Swansea I’d fancy and we all know Mowbray could fuck it up for Sunderland. Just not convinced we’ll get the 3 points More to the point, if Sunderland are winning 3-0 at HT are we just letting Millwall have it to avoid the double of Burnley win league at a Ewood and Mowbray wins promotion at Wembley.
  20. Shows how weak and fragile they are then. No leaders, no captain
  21. 😂😂😂 we did indeed go through the motions
  22. 7.7% chance with margin so probably more like a true 5% chance we finish in the top 6.
  23. He’d be a steady player lower down the league. If he was a starter at Rotherham I don’t think we’d all be calling for his signing this summer for example.
