  1. That sort of logic would melt the brains of those at Ewood!
  2. There will be more than 11k fans in the JW/Riverside combined, so providing the BBE Lower is sold out (been greyed out for days) there will be more than 16k home fans. (as pointed out in the original post it's still a bit depressing to be sub 20k for this match but there wasn't a single finger lifted to make any incentives by the lot running the show). EDIT: the other thing I was thinking yesterday was the fact we'll have 7/8/9k walk-ons coming to this - we should be plastering SEASON TICKET messaging all over the place. Leaflets on seats or handed out when leaving the ground. Lots of floating fans, potential to win the local derby and get back in the top 6 (we know this won't happen as it didn't vs Oxford or Bournemouth at the end of previous seasons)
  3. Couldn't remember if it was 5.5/2.5 or 5/3 split - Either way, it's over 17k home fans according to the map. What a club - stop selling tickets 8 hours before kick off!
  4. Feels like we've done this a lot over time, but....BBE Lower 5.5k, Jack Walker total 11k, Riverside about 4.5k - so that overall capacity would be 21k) + BBE Upper 2.5k and Darwen End 8k you get the 31.5kish capacity. i.e. we have the 21k available to home fans. BBE lower is sold out, there's less than 1k empties in Jack Walker and Riverside is about half full, giving us around 17k-18k home fans
  5. I pretty much counted the empties. 1k missing from JW and about half the Riverside - I make that about 18k home fans. Pal.
  6. Tickets only on sale until 12pm. I'll go with 19k. 17k home fans. Disappointing to be below 20k, but mid-week, £30-£35, chance of Burnley winning the league and complete lack of advertisement all add up, and only giving them 2k all adds up. Still around 8k walk-ons, perhaps job done in Waggotts eyes. Edit: On a recount it could be close to 20k. 5.5k BBE sold out, 10k of the 11k JW sold and about 2.5k of the Riverside sold, so maybe 18k home fans
  7. Would dropping Dack into a midfield 3 be a terrible option? The negatives mentioned with him tends to be pace/closing down/high press, if he's replacing Morton he didn't have any of those attributes either, and playing in a 3 will take that pressure off, and hopefully allow himself and Adam Wharton to control the game. It would sort of revert back to a 4-2-3-1 when attacking, with Dack moving forward and JRC filling in the middle behind him. Concern obviously that he has had no game time, even a cameo from the bench for a while. Pears JRC - Carter - Hyam - Pickering Dack - Travis - Wharton Thomas - Szmodics - Diaz Other option is JRC moves up there and Brittain comes in (who has been shakey in a few sub appearances), or straight swap with Garrett in for Morton. Otherwise back to 2 in midfield I guess. Not a chance he is picking Edun.
  8. Back to 2 in the middle or bring in Garrett / drop Sammie or Dack deeper / push JRC up?
  9. Burnley win the league at Ewood and Mowbray wins the playoffs at Wembley first year after leaving us. Life as a Rovers fan
  10. Build the team around the spine of Kaminski, Carter, Hyam, Wharton, Szmodics - add a number 9, quality wingers and a proper CM partner and we’ll finish top 6 next season. I only expect Rovers to address maybe max one of those areas though
  11. Complete nonsense. Some of the stuff under Mowbray was far superior. The 5-0, 5-1, 4-0, 4-1 victories. Centre Backs like to pass it to one another if that’s what you mean (and they’re not that good at that) A -2 GD does not suggest good football at all
  12. Did a prediction for procrastination sake. Have the table as below going into the final match. Which would mean we'd have to beat Millwall, and hope Coventry don't win away at Boro (who have nothing to play for), or that WBA lose away to Swansea. It was a fairly pessimistic view with just 3 points from our next 3. Either way, really can't see a way that the Millwall match hasn't got something riding on it!
  13. Yeah - if the 2 are PNE and Millwall then we should sneak in on 70 - though GD could be the factor against others. If we can beat PNE on Saturday to get to 67 (or had we held on last night), then we're almost guaranteed to have something to play for against Millwall on the final day, regardless of Burnley/Luton results. The only way that wouldn't be the case is if Millwall beat Wigan (A) and Blackpool (A) and WBA beat Sunderland (H), Sheff Utd (A), Norwich (H) as both would then be uncatchable (all other teams would still be catchable regardless of their results)
  14. Pears JRC - Carter - Hyam - Pickering* Wharton - Travis Thomas - Szmodics - Hedges Leonard *Brittain if Pickering is still injured
  15. 100%. He may walk because he either gets a better offer, or he's fallen out with those around him over false promises, but I'd feel much better if it's still JDT in charge next year as we have another year with JRC, Carter, Hyam, Wharton, Szmodics, Travis in the spine of the team. Back him to get some quality attacking players and we have a top 6 starting 11 who will be able to play quality football - oh for the £12m spent on Diaz/Gallagher this summer!
  16. Millwall are on a worse run than us. Not scored in 5 of their last 6
  17. I think Huddersfield are the only team to ever get promoted with a negative GD
  18. Not ideal but he was probably just on to run around and put them under pressure. We were 10 men behind the ball and as soon as we won it we launched it aimlessly (opposite of everything in the 1st half) - not sure what 5ft2 Dolan is meant to do with that.
  19. Exactly this. 3 at the back and wing backs who are attackers (injuries may have played a part but it clearly doesn’t work)
  20. The fact it’s landed waist high inside the 6 yard box is criminal. How has nobody cleared that corner away at the front. Useless 2nd half. Changed formation, changed tactics.
  21. Summed up Diaz that free kick on 93 mins and he was offside. Shouldn’t be played again all season. Summed up Rovers - that ending.
  22. Adam Wharton - I’m a huge fan and have wanted him in the team all season despite any gaming gossip. However, I thought the praise he got on recent cameos was OTT (perhaps due to Morton hatred) - in comparison to eart appearances. Eg Blackpool / Hull But today, wow, he’s been sublime. Best player on the pitch. Himself and Trav dominating it and this is against a very capable team. Will just add Brittain is so much more composed on the ball than Pickering. Helps when trying to move the ball forward in the style we do. And Gally - get in there lad!
  23. Go on the Galllllly!!! Good lad!!! Eating the humble pie 90+39mins later
