  1. Last time I went to Bramall Lane was the match where Friedel saved 2 penalties, and we missed one too which I think Paddy Kenny saved, 15 odd years ago, time flies! I’d take a penalty shoot out now if we had big Brad between the sticks!
  2. 100% - and how sweet will that fortnight be if we knew we already had 1 trip to Wembley in the bank!
  3. Season before was 3 goals and 4 assists and he wasn't as much of a regular (fewer minutes than Morton this year with an additional 9 games to go still). Bit of a moot point comparing the two as we say because of their role/position, but it's fairer to be critical of Mortons attacking involvement than Rothwells over whichever year you want to choose.
  4. Extra Time and Penalties all the way to the trophy now from the 5th round - to stop fixture congestion
  5. Rothwell had 10 assists last season when playing that more attacking role and became a regular starter, only 5 or 6 players had more in the league. You're right, they're not comparable as they play different roles within the team, but I'd agree with the original poster that there isn't enough output from Morton, and what others have said about his defensive frailties. If we see more of the type of pass to Gallagher going forward we'd be better for it. There was a moment last night when even the very biased Rovers commentators had a little "move forward into the space" outburst (maybe not outburst but a bit of a passionate tone) about him as he had acres of space in front of him but was instead looking for the easy pass
  6. Yeah that is way out isn’t it. Thomas cross for a Gallagher header in the first half and prob more I can’t remember
  7. That 5 point gap to Norwich feels even better knowing their next 3 are Stoke (A), Sheff Utd (H) then Rovers (A). No gimmes in there and they go to Boro away at Easter too
  8. Captain Guinness came 2nd. Can’t be over celebrating the place money now Merce! Love the mid-week Indian shout though!
  9. 😁 Very true! I’m living over there now so I’d maybe even make the trip to the Aviva if Sammie got a call up!
  10. They’re still picking Jeff Hendrick!!! More fool them.
  11. At least it’s looking like it’ll all be done and dusted before they play us.
  12. What’s the tipple on a school night?
  13. Szmodics has run himself into the ground here. Someone get that man an ice bath ahead of Sunday!!!
  14. Jesus! I’ve not celebrated a goal like that at home for a long time. Great pass from Morton and brilliant from Gally and Hedges! What a night this could be
  15. It’s a shame they haven’t continued the World Cup correct stoppage times.
  16. Couple of equalisers gone our way. Huddersfield and Cardiff… Come on Rovers!!
  17. We are easily the better team. A 2nd would be nice to ease the nerves. Pitch looks a little bit heavy, with all the recent rain, doesn’t seem to be helping us. Gallagher could have had a hat trick and it’d be game over, have a horrible feeling we’ll end up with a sucker punch
  18. Would rather meet Sheffield United than Middlesbrough in the Playoffs…..also has to dent their confidence ahead of the weekend too!
  19. He is playing great going forward, as he has for multiple weeks. The moments he has looked really good have all been on the edge of (or inside) the opponents box though. Twice caught out of position at the back, a 1-2 early on right around him and the yellow card. Try just having a normal debate/response next time, though through experience I’ve noticed you’ve struggled with that since joining last year.
  20. You’re a strange strange person
  21. Good for him. Caught out of position regularly and turns like the titanic
