  1. Remember when Leicester got done to that missed penalty and Deeney goal in the playoffs. They won the league a year later then won the prem 2 years after that. We just need to get stronger, get some mentality into the team and fucking get stuck in more (as well as getting a full new front 3).
  2. Grim. So grim. Turned off instantly at full time so no idea what’s happening, the main reason I didn’t want to fly in for this was the fact they could win the league. What a sickener. Played decent until they scored then horrendous afterwards. JDT got fucked with nothing up top. The front 3 are horrendous. Brereton pathetic - said it every match thread for a month but shouldn’t be played again all season. Hedges and Dolan - all work no skill, that’s what you get signing from Aberdeen or PNE youth on free transfers. Having said that, JDT also fucked us, playing Morton all season over Wharton when fit. He’d have been worth at least 3 extra points over prior 44 games - some of us called for him to start in all match threads. I think Kaminski saves that shot with his extra height. Refs in this league oh boy (was that the linesman side too? If so that’s a shocker) Carter will get the pelters but I think he’s been great for us since coming in, superior to Hyam in the way JDT wants to play. I think the latter can regularly become a liability. Someone please climb up the comms tower and lamp Michael Brown too the prick.
  3. See 91 minutes. Hyam is the liability playing JDT ‘football’
  4. Not true. Hyam has given it away at least 3 times in this match. Just happens that Carters time is when they score the 1 in 50 screamer.
  5. Am I being harsh in saying Kaminski would have got that?
  6. So much for that ‘Set Piece Coach’ we were allegedly hiring for at one point Michael Brown now taking about the school run with Burnley players. Fuck sake
  7. Also not sure where the Dolan hate is coming from tonight.
  8. Final one at half time - we look so so bad at defending corners. Pears coming for nothing in the 6 yard box and none off the defenders clearing it either. Ie Coventry home eat your heart out.
  9. A few occasions where Wharton has played the perfect penultimate pass to one of the front 4 but then the quality is so low there the next ball is no good (often Hedges and Diaz) Desperately need 2 wingers and a number 9 to compliment Szmoddy and Wharton next year.
  10. Solid half. Wingers again the weak point and an area we need to address this summer. Diaz looks league 1 level and Sammie is fuming with him. Travis a bit sloppy at times too. Adam Wharton - we’d have to confirmed already if he’d played all season (JDT and injuries). He’s utter class, not seen the likes since Tugay and the future is bright if we can at least keep him for one more year. Finally, for us poor sods who couldn’t go (living abroad) - these commentators are horrendous. Not sure who co-comm is but his head is so so so far up the arse of this average Burnley performance. Called Barnes a ‘character’ after the dive. Fucking get into them lads!!! Let’s do this
  11. National Police Air Service - is it not just a police chopper? Been in the air for 3 hours - not sure dingles would pay for that much fuel!
  12. That team still gives me nightmares! To think the winner of that went top of the league (I think?)
  13. 2 back up CBs…..let’s get at them lads!
  14. I’d imagine he’s gone back to 4231 rather than dropping Szmodics into the middle. We’ll see though… their 11 doesn’t look the strongest, Tella injured, Benson and Bellis on the bench
  15. Early bird prices for Adults below. Rovers have the most expensive ticket through all town clubs in Lancashire. £100 more than PNE, £160 more than Bolton, even £45 more than PL bound Burnley. WAGGOT OUT! Bolton: £219 and phase 2 now on sale £299 - £399 (playoff chance for Championship, and sold out Wembley for Papa Johns(?) trophy) Stanley: £239 PNE: £280 - £380 (and under 11s are free!) Wigan: £329 - £349 (club in turmoil and likely League 1) Burnley; £335 - £500 (for PL football - 2 stands offering cheaper than our cheapest) Rovers: £379 - £474 (David Brent as CEO) The only compliment I'll give is the Young Adult prices are good. £170 for 18-23 beats our rivals. EDIT: Just noticed our early bird ends on the 7th May! We don't play Millwall until the 8th May....surely that wants extending to at least 1 week post-season, especially if we end up in the playoffs!
  16. That sort of logic would melt the brains of those at Ewood!
  17. There will be more than 11k fans in the JW/Riverside combined, so providing the BBE Lower is sold out (been greyed out for days) there will be more than 16k home fans. (as pointed out in the original post it's still a bit depressing to be sub 20k for this match but there wasn't a single finger lifted to make any incentives by the lot running the show). EDIT: the other thing I was thinking yesterday was the fact we'll have 7/8/9k walk-ons coming to this - we should be plastering SEASON TICKET messaging all over the place. Leaflets on seats or handed out when leaving the ground. Lots of floating fans, potential to win the local derby and get back in the top 6 (we know this won't happen as it didn't vs Oxford or Bournemouth at the end of previous seasons)
  18. Couldn't remember if it was 5.5/2.5 or 5/3 split - Either way, it's over 17k home fans according to the map. What a club - stop selling tickets 8 hours before kick off!
  19. Feels like we've done this a lot over time, but....BBE Lower 5.5k, Jack Walker total 11k, Riverside about 4.5k - so that overall capacity would be 21k) + BBE Upper 2.5k and Darwen End 8k you get the 31.5kish capacity. i.e. we have the 21k available to home fans. BBE lower is sold out, there's less than 1k empties in Jack Walker and Riverside is about half full, giving us around 17k-18k home fans
  20. I pretty much counted the empties. 1k missing from JW and about half the Riverside - I make that about 18k home fans. Pal.
  21. Tickets only on sale until 12pm. I'll go with 19k. 17k home fans. Disappointing to be below 20k, but mid-week, £30-£35, chance of Burnley winning the league and complete lack of advertisement all add up, and only giving them 2k all adds up. Still around 8k walk-ons, perhaps job done in Waggotts eyes. Edit: On a recount it could be close to 20k. 5.5k BBE sold out, 10k of the 11k JW sold and about 2.5k of the Riverside sold, so maybe 18k home fans
  22. Would dropping Dack into a midfield 3 be a terrible option? The negatives mentioned with him tends to be pace/closing down/high press, if he's replacing Morton he didn't have any of those attributes either, and playing in a 3 will take that pressure off, and hopefully allow himself and Adam Wharton to control the game. It would sort of revert back to a 4-2-3-1 when attacking, with Dack moving forward and JRC filling in the middle behind him. Concern obviously that he has had no game time, even a cameo from the bench for a while. Pears JRC - Carter - Hyam - Pickering Dack - Travis - Wharton Thomas - Szmodics - Diaz Other option is JRC moves up there and Brittain comes in (who has been shakey in a few sub appearances), or straight swap with Garrett in for Morton. Otherwise back to 2 in midfield I guess. Not a chance he is picking Edun.
  23. Back to 2 in the middle or bring in Garrett / drop Sammie or Dack deeper / push JRC up?
