  1. I think Huddersfield are the only team to ever get promoted with a negative GD
  2. Not ideal but he was probably just on to run around and put them under pressure. We were 10 men behind the ball and as soon as we won it we launched it aimlessly (opposite of everything in the 1st half) - not sure what 5ft2 Dolan is meant to do with that.
  3. Exactly this. 3 at the back and wing backs who are attackers (injuries may have played a part but it clearly doesn’t work)
  4. The fact it’s landed waist high inside the 6 yard box is criminal. How has nobody cleared that corner away at the front. Useless 2nd half. Changed formation, changed tactics.
  5. Summed up Diaz that free kick on 93 mins and he was offside. Shouldn’t be played again all season. Summed up Rovers - that ending.
  6. Adam Wharton - I’m a huge fan and have wanted him in the team all season despite any gaming gossip. However, I thought the praise he got on recent cameos was OTT (perhaps due to Morton hatred) - in comparison to eart appearances. Eg Blackpool / Hull But today, wow, he’s been sublime. Best player on the pitch. Himself and Trav dominating it and this is against a very capable team. Will just add Brittain is so much more composed on the ball than Pickering. Helps when trying to move the ball forward in the style we do. And Gally - get in there lad!
  7. Go on the Galllllly!!! Good lad!!! Eating the humble pie 90+39mins later
  8. Would have rather seen a 3 man midfield I think against this lot. The lad Hamer is dangerous. Good news on Wharton though. Glad to see he went with Brittain to replace an injured Pickering. Hopefully a lot of attacking play from our fullbacks. Gally shouldn’t be starting.
  9. It's making me uncomfortable that the 'ROVERS' isn't in the middle! (though I like the idea - always thought stuff like this, and covering corners of stands with flags/memorabilia is a good way to make it feel more full)
  10. West Brom have Sunderland, Norwich and Sheffield United to play, as well as Swansea away, and they will be below either ourselves or Coventry tomorrow regardless of result. The last sentence is a worry for our lot though!
  11. I’d have taken 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss from our 3 rivals tonight for sure. All 3 were odds on favourites to win! Millwall losing also just makes it more and more likely that final game of the season is going to be ‘win and in’. We can end up anywhere between 5th and 10th tomorrow night now
  12. Since Morton rolled around on the floor and cost us that match he has played 90 minutes, 73 minutes, 90 minutes, 90 minutes - accumulating 2 points in the process. EDIT: for what it's worth, this is in order of appearance minutes in the league this season
  13. I think his point is "so what if we had all moaned?" We're fans on a forum, not 'experts' employed to make these decisions. They shouldn't take any notice of us in these circumstances
  14. We're favourites, as we're at home. On a neutral ground, say Playoff Final at Wembley, Coventry would be favourites.
  15. I don't think you understood my post. We rank 21st in the league for shots per game not that we've had 21 shots. We're mid-table (13th) for shots on target, so we are actually pretty accurate when we do take a shot, (also highlighted by our xG being almost identical to our Goals Scored (46 vs 45). It's just that we're not taking very many.
  16. We'd not afford Pearsons wages unfortunately. Stoke fans absolutely loving him, he's transformed them. I'd imagine they'd pay double us if he were to move in the Summer.
  17. Are Palace aware that he plays Super Nintendo until 2am on Monday nights?
  18. We're 21st for shots per game (only Reading, Huddersfield and Rotherham have less), but 6th for most possession per game (Burnley, Swansea - lol, Norwich, Boro and West Brom having more). "Have a bloody shot!" - we scream
  19. We scored 4 plenty of times under Mowbray last year with the same attacking line up. 4-0 Peterborough, 4-0 Birmingham, 4-1 PNE, 5-1 Cardiff. Diaz, Gallagher, Dolan (last nights 3) featured in those matches, with the odd bit of Khadra and Buckley as false 9. Either way, I agree to the extent that we need a number 9 - there is no denying that - just not sure those guys are number 9s (appreciate you said forwards)
  20. Maybe the Hyam scorpion kick? Though it was off an Ayala header. Scott Wharton seems to be the only one who is an attacking threat on crosses - agree though, every time we get a corner I am expecting nothing to come of it
  21. Nobody is talking about divine right, it’s excuses and the lines we’re being fed and it’s reflection on the table (which we’ll see in a months time) The manager shouldn’t be saying “we have no right to be up here, we have no budget” when we’re below Luton and Millwall and around the same mark as PNE, Coventry and Sunderland. Also not sure who you mean regarding Sunderland’s forward, if it’s Stewart he’s only played 13 times all season. They’ve basically had a midfielder upfront all year (like Mowbray did here)
  22. Because of the exact reason I quoted? Not sure where you don’t understand. From this morning, every team bar Preston gained on us (of which consequence Millwall pulled away instead) I could also add we were 1/1 (50%) chance of top 6 this morning but now we’re 15/8 (35%) chance of top 6
  23. We most certainly are not. Same position in the league but now 5 teams are within 3 points of us. We could literally be 11th with defeat to Coventry.
  24. Wow - I’m not a fan at all of the two of them together, but that’s even surprised me how low it is.
  25. Let’s hope he knows why, as it took until 7 mins from the end for him to realise tonight.
