  1. Thanks Gav. If the Trust did not engage (along with the fantastic support of brfcs, RoversChat, Her Game Too, Proud Rovers, and South Asian Supporters*) we would probably have been looking at a miserable 11,500 gate. * btw this is a powerful coalition we are building
  2. Yes. The challenge is that the owners set financial targets for sales so we may have focus more on the structure and options of the ST offer. One of our Supporters Trust Board members has already made a presentation to the Club and we will have further discussions. If you have any ideas please send them to enquiries@roverstrust.co.uk or post on brfcs under the Trust thread.
  3. It is looking like 16.5k to 17k. I had hoped for a few more but this is still a fantastic achievement thanks to the Supporters Trust and the coalition of fans groups, brfcs and of course the Club. The joint working with the Club, fans groups and the Community Trust is something to build on. The Club have welcomed our ideas and involvement. We need to take this further and look at how we can influence future ST pricing and options.
  4. Sorry but I don’t understand the above. Good try gents but I am not going to get sucked into what will be a tit for tat argument; I had enough of that in my working life to waste my energy on it. I sincerely suggest you try and engage with the Club. This Saturday is a good example of that.
  5. So guys you are having a go at me now. Lovely stuff.
  6. Thank you Simon. I stand by my comments. Try engaging with the guy.
  7. There are no staff cuts planned due to this. Rovers receive financial incentives from the EFL.
  8. A massive communications improvement: https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/december/20/additional-support-ahead-of-digital-day/ The ‘technical issue’ between the Rovers and Cambridge systems is that CUFC are not with Ticketmaster.
  9. Just over 4k home tickets sold and just over 1k away tickets sold. That takes us to around 14,500. I was always looking at around 18k.
  10. Meanwhile… https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/sep/14/cash-payments-rise-in-uk-as-people-seek-ways-to-manage-budgets
  11. Local Brindle based Rovers historian Steve Williams is making one of his excellent talks at Blackburn Library in February. For those who have heard Steve present before you will know you will be in for in excellent evening. This is sponsored by We Are The Rovers - the Rovers Supporters Trust. Free entry.
  12. I have met Fraser plenty of times, never over a brew nor biscuits, and I am confident from what I have seen and heard that he is bloody good at his job. It may not be popular but I am prepared to stand up for, and stand by people who have the Club and fans at heart. We could do with a few more like Fraser at Ewood.
  13. How many fouls against us have not been given? Dreadful refereeing.
  14. Saints TV have twice referred to us as Bristol Rovers 😂😂😂
  15. JDT’s tactics today have been woeful. And now Brittain has won ‘PoTM’* * Plonker of The Match
  16. Don’t forget the theme for the day is a 🔵&⚪️ Christmas. It is time to go into the attic and dig out the old flags that have been hidden away. The only negative thing to report is that Duncan has ordered 200 thunder clackers. I have told him not to hand any out to kids going in the JW Upper. This is a We Are The Rovers Supporters Trust initiative actively supported and promoted by brfcs, Proud Rovers, Her Game Too, South Asian Supporters, Rovers Chat and of course the Club who have been very supportive. Please consider joining the Trust via: http://www.roverstrust.com
  17. Exactly. Just over a week ago we had sold more than we would normally sell up to 2 days before a game. Most tickets are sold in the 48 hours before a game. We had sold just over 12,000 at 09:30 yesterday morning. I know of a couple of people who have not got round to buying yet. Thank goodness it is not a digital only game 😞
  18. Sorry but I can’t not respond. I will say it as it is……. All my dealings with Fraser have been excellent and he is a credit to the club and is really good to work with. I do not know whether this is his idea but he is a decent bloke and I am pleased he is with the Rovers.
  19. A week ago I was advised we had sold more for this game than we would two days before a similar fixture. I am really hopeful of 16-18,000 home fans. The JW stand looks like excellent sales so far as does the BBE Lower. Forever the optimist.
  20. Good points. These are fire retardant and have been pre-approved by Ewood staff. As for away games that, I agree, is more of a challenge.
  21. We are asking all fans to get into the theme for the day which is a ‘Blue & White Christmas’ and to bring your banners and flags and help make a decent atmosphere at Ewood. We also have the three large We Are The Rovers Supporters Trust banners for the BBE (one for possibly the JW Lower towards the DE). We are looking for 3 responsible individuals 😂😂😂😂 who will ‘own’ the banners and take them to Ewood on match days and also away grounds where possible. Please come forward via this mb and you can pick the banners up at our hut we will be using at the BBE fanzone at the Watford game. Thank you.
  22. Yes, Wahlstedt MoTM by a mile, in contrast their goalie had little to two except pick the ball out of his net twice with our only two attempts on goal. We fought hard for that win but the players looked buggered including Sammy and Moran who looked shattered from the first minute. There were less than 8k on tonight.
