  1. As Rigger responded they are already on sale, and apparently from the figures I have seen they are thankfully selling extremely well.
  2. Liverpool, West Ham and Newcastle have all had him watched in recent weeks.
  3. The supporter survey feedback to date on crowdfunding contradicts your polemic. However we will have to wait until January for the full survey feedback.
  4. Good question Mark. Personally I don’t think it will be closed apart from odd matches such as minor cup games. The only way the Riverside will be developed is either by us gaining Premier League status and / or a commercial partnership with a developer (retail / hotel / affordable housing) that would reduce the number of seats but would also upgrade what is in my opinion an embarrassment. As for safe standing they are going to have to put some in the DE as the rules dictate what we do for home fans we have to do for away fans. I would love to have the DE Lower to be 1/2 and 1/2 again. If the demand for Watford tickets is good the Club may have no option but to open up part of the DE Lower for that game; however for me the key is increasing the home attendance so opening part of the DE Lower is a no brainer, at present all we would be doing is spreading our fans more thinly across a greater area.
  5. I think the most important thing on the day is whether the team turn up and put in a display that they capable of. We will be talking to the Club about logistics but the bottom line is that they are legally responsible and liable for the health, safety, and operations on the day.
  6. No. I hear options have been discussed but non have come to fruition.
  7. John, we had a working group with the Club and those were the only feasible options unless you want the whole of the BBE Lower for Safe Standing (which we ruled out as it would naff off too many long term ST holders). O2G has explained why the Riverside option was ruled out. The key question is whether you would support Safe Standing or not. I was at Chelsea and it was excellent; it will not be too long before the majority of Clubs in the Premier League and Championship have Safe Standing except at Turf Moor where they still have their quaint antique wooden seats.
  8. Thank goodness for that 😊. We have also put a new membership system in place and have moved away from PayPal. A lot of changes were required to drive the Trust forward following from the good work of the past. The Board members are all active with their own responsibilities yet coming together, usually via Zoom, to bounce ideas of each other and to try and ensure we do not suffer from silo working. We won’t always get it right but we are moving in the right direction.
  9. Thank you. The November Newsletter, sent out early this evening, is in the news section of the new website. Our Heritage lead, Steve Williams, will drip feed stories over the coming months on the ‘Heritage’ section.
  10. The tickets are selling extremely well. I would suggest anyone wanting a decent view from the JW Upper should order early doors.
  11. Thank you Tony. It was a much needed investment and took a lot of hard work. Constructive criticism is more than welcome. The November Newsletter is also on the website.
  12. We are live!!! The new ‘We Are The Rovers’ Supporters Trust website…. http://www.roverstrust.com The board hope you like it.
  13. An additional point is that whatever we do for home fans re Safe Standing it has to be replicated for away fans. I hear that Liverpool are aiming to make the Kop all safe standing; they have already retrofitted many rows of seats and they are continuing to fit the standing rails between home games. This is what the standing rails look like:
  14. One of the proposals is the back of the BBE but spanning the whole width of NO1 to NO5. If you have any other proposal please use the open text box in the survey and it will be considered. The working group, which includes 3 regular posters on here will see all the open text responses (of course without knowledge of of who made the comment).
  15. Sorry but I am not going to respond to the points in your rant.
  16. It did look a mess at that game; that is one of the reasons why the Club and the Ground Safety Committee want Safe Standing. It is far safer to stand with rail seating than with seats. Chelsea away was a good example of that. I can assure you this is not a meaningless consultation; if that were the case I would not have wasted my time writing the survey as O2G has referred to. May I suggest that supporters engage with the consultation whatever your views. Thank you.
  17. Sorry but that is absolute tosh. The Club have meaningfully engaged with us. It is a fan led proposal the same as the ‘Fans Takeover’ for the Watford game. The Club 100% want Safe Standing; this is consultation to find the view of the fans. The main issues are: do the fans want it; where will it go; consultation with existing ST holders*; and paying for it. The positive thing is that the Club are meaningfully engaging with ‘We Are The Rovers’ and the Fans Forum. We are starting to make a difference and personally I will grab every opportunity to make Ewood a more exciting and enjoyable place to attend for all fans and our local communities. When it comes to the shirt design consultation they have listened….watch this space when next seasons shirts are released. * the survey was structured so we can have an idea from existing ST holders who respond whether they support Safe Standing or not.
