  1. I would love it if we could have a ‘flag group’ like Liverpool and Palace have. They raise money and design appropriate flags at short notice. https://hf05.org/group/
  2. God bless you and your family. This is more important than football. Take care.
  3. It is listed as a category A game for tickets and a Platinum game for hospitality. Jacks Kitchen is not available for a ‘pie and a pint’ as they are looking at the potential of using the lounge for hospitality sales. Maybe the club will pull back and realise the only way fans will turn up is to have a decent ticket offer.
  4. It is now less than 2 months to the 150th birthday of probably the most momentous moment in the history of the town of Blackburn. We were originally promised a year of celebration of our World famous club. Sadly we haven’t a clue what will be happening to celebrate OUR Club. All we have had so far is: - the promise of a anniversary book (the Club announced this about 4 weeks back but have been quiet on the subject ever since; I wonder why🧐). - an anniversary logo that could have been better designed by a 5 year old in an infant schools art class. - a celebration game against Derby Rovers at prices to put off most casual fans. - some nice flat caps handed out pre match to stars of the past. Is anyone aware of any other formal Rovers 150 Anniversary activities?
  5. £2.50 for Rovers to post me a Charlton away ticket. I want it hand delivered via an Ewood Express with our Commercial Manager gurning at my front door for that price. The alternative is go to the club shop but it is always closed when I can go. RIP off Ewood.
  6. No. It is not the done thing. At least one of them has gone to a competitor club.
  7. The Ribblesdale Tap, owned and invested in by BwD Council closed after a few months. Someone forgot to tell the tenants about the surrounding roads closing due to major construction work. The Council leader went to the opening, I wonder if he went for the closure?
  8. Chorley FC are excellent at providing facilities for large followings visiting Rovers. They had up to 1,000 visiting fans on a regular basis. They put on a band and a raffle as well. Many fans also visit the many pubs and real ale / craft ale houses in Chorley where the pub and restaurant scene is vibrant at the expense of Blackburn.
  9. Yes, I also believe that is something the new WATR Board are looking at. There has been keen interest in buying Rovers, information was passed to the club and SW confirmed to us that he was also contacted by a potential buyer. The point of the post above re Preston is to show that there are buyers out there and to try and put to bed the idea that no one would want to buy us. The stumbling block of course is that the owners, and their silent partners, do not appear to want to sell.
  10. PNE do not appear to have a problem with finding potential new owners. Very much contrary to what some Rovers fans keep telling me “who would buy Blackburn Rovers?”. 😡
  11. When the Chorley boys do our away trips we always stay in hotels in the town or city we are visiting. About 10 of us stay there, we drink there and we eat there. The 10 of us add a decent wack to the local economy; multiply that many times over with other visiting fans and you are potentially talking £1M+ every season or two. BwD Council is missing a trick.
  12. Have a look at Blackburn Market to how badly the town is run. The bakers have just left and we are very soon to be left with only one butcher when Tom Woods goes to Colne High St at a rent of 70% less than he pays at the market. I come to Blackburn for 3 things: the butcher in the market; the fish stall in the market; and Rovers. I never come to Ewood anymore outside of a game as the club shop is never open at the times I can make it. To be honest Blackburn as a town and a council is a complete and utter mess. It is about time the Council started to see how they can make it easier for folk to attend Ewood Park rather than penalising them.
  13. I always assumed it was at the end of his notice period. I guess at his level he was on 6 months notice rather than 3.
  14. Exactly. I was saying just the same thing last night.
  15. The Derby game is category A pricing for match tickets and Platinum in hospitality. They must be expecting a good attendance 🤔
  16. Maybe it is about time we looked at a fund for getting some novel new fans flags and banners made; they can be direct to the point without being offensive. The flags will be ideal for away days. The company below allows you to upload designs and even photographs of our favourite people 😉. The flags come with a fire certificate and label just in case over officious stewards try and remove or confiscate them as “this isn’t legal mate”. I must admit I am useless when it comes to designs. I am sure some of our friends on here will help come up with some witty ideas suitable for uploading. https://terraceflags.com/
  17. I sent one in asking why they offered Hyam a new contract on lesser terms.
  18. It is called the ‘Comical Ali’ approach.
  19. SW left because the final straw was he was not prepared to take the bullets for someone else’s decision to drop the Women’s team into oblivion.
  20. I look at our squad and it frightens me. Where is our strength in depth? A couple of key injuries (Cantwell, Tronstad) and we are buggered. This is our weakest and least experienced squad for many seasons.
  21. The Rovers world is not too bad 😂😂😂 Crap transfer window. Owners facing probable fines. Our club apparently facing two legal claims for breach of contract. Backroom staff leaving. No CEO. It is only the 1st of September…..can it get any worse🙄
  22. Rumour has it that these are going into the Directors Box.
  23. I am a ST holder and have been for many many years. I have never seen this survey…..I wonder why🤔
