Kargbo was sat in the Jack Walker Upper yesterday and he looked fine and dandy to me.

It was getting hairy behind me in the JW Upper with a few ‘fans’ taunting those chanting “Venkys Out” by shouting “where the fuck would we be without the Venkys funding us, you are just a bunch of muppets, Venkys Out fucking muppets” etc etc etc. “get behind the team”. Rather unpleasant. It was very close to getting violent.

Just been clearing out some cupboards during decorating. Does anyone remember this classic? ‘Tash Force’, based in Blackburn some of which was filmed in the Fox & Hounds. I have it on DVD and must try and find out how I can get a digital copy.

I go to Chorley occasionally. I was brought in up nearby Leyland and my brother played in goal for Chorley for a short time. I don’t support them but it is a great atmosphere. A loud home crowd, plenty of novel supporters flags, a good Fanzone and a new club shop. They are pulling in a lot of former Rovers attendees these days and recruiting loads of young fans who may otherwise have gone to Rovers.* *Rovers Community Trust no longer do any activities in Chorley. I had arranged for the Council Leader to attend a Rovers home game but Rovers never followed up the contact despite promises.

I have just been chatting to an old friend Chris who lives down the lane from me. He and his adult son had ST’s for years. I asked if he would get another to be told “why, Rovers get £8m+ on the new TV deal that they did not oppose as the income was easy money and they don’t need to work to get the fans in anymore. I may go a couple of times per season for a big game at best, it is cheaper to use a fire stick and I can sit at home in the warmth and have a beer. They don’t care about me attending and they have done nothing to try and get me back.”.

I just had a text from a Rovers staff member saying the Club have ‘no plans to remove VI’.

Kevin Gallacher said on Radio Lancs after the Coventry game that VI still does not know his best formation. KC always chooses his words carefully so I take that as very critical from Kevin. He also stated during the game that we “will struggle in the Championship this season”.
