Got out a super nintendo a little bit back and was amazed at how I had ever managed to play games with so few buttons and options. Good fun for a bit, but the novelty soon faded and I don't think it will appear again for a few years.

The first goal was the sign of a defense not yet sure of itself. Three stepped up and Emerton didn't, playing Barton onside. It isn't unusual to have these sort of problems given the fact that 3 of the players are either new or in a new position, but we do need to sort it out soon.

If that is still true come may then I think we will have all had a very enjoyable season.

What makes you think that Hughes agrees?

I think this is something that Hughes will have thought about and obviously he feels Neill is up to it. Neill has never said himself that he wants to leave (though I'm nearly 100% sure that he does), but he may well command the respect in the dressing room and have the qualities on the pitch that still make him a good choice.

I think a lot of luck is involved. There wasn't much between us and a host of other sides, we had luck in the fact that we didn't have too many serious injuries and that the team clicked. I'm not saying that we didn't deserve it, but we had a fair bit of luck in getting there which we may not have this season (already the Nelsen injury has made us rush into adding to the squad).

Will this be included in the prediction league? 3-0 Rovers.

Will other games be on at the same time? I think I'll struggle to get a pub to put on Rovers if Spurs, West Ham or Newcastle are showing.

I don't think we made huge leap forwards last season in the transfer window, but things clicked and we had a bit of luck and then put ourselves in a position where we could really improve, we faield to do so. Maybe we'll get lucky again, but based on the fact that teams rarely have two seasons where they finish above where their squad would get them on paper and the fact that all the teams around us improved more than we did, I would say that it is unlikely and we will now have a harder task to get back to that position then we did in trying to stay there.

We had a horrible transfer windoz in my opinion and we will do well to get this squad into the top 10 now. A real shame, huge step forward last season and an equally large step back over the course of the summer.

I think the cheapest line rental (at least with BT) that can support broadband is £11 a month.

Well everyone has said that the graphics are very good and that some of the gameplay has been improved, it is really just the loss of fantasy drafts and the owner mode that people really haven't liked. I probably won't notice, I've been thinking and I can't remember eer having done a fantasy draft.

Choices are now NTL, BT or Orange, what does everyone think? Good thing with BT and Orange is that we get a free wireless router, which we need. Only heard bad things about NTL, though heard bad things about BT on here and both BT and Orange would involve BT in some way.

By the way, still can't find a Baseball game in PAL format, anyone know of one?

According to players in the states Madden 07 is a pretty horrible game. They have taken out a lot of the features, including madden himself, the fantasy draft and the owner mode and all you have instead are improved graphics. I'm not sure if I still want to buy it. I don't use the fantasy draft, but I did use the owner mode.

No doubt I'll be slated for this as well, but does anyone know of a broadband provider who can set it up in less than 10 days? Everyone I've talked to so far has said that it will take a minimum of 10 days to get it up and running. I've been amazed at how difficult it has been to get it all going here.
