Good as always Bob, thanks.

3-0 Rovers, easy.

Don't have a problem with penalties, but does anyone else find the master league ridiculously hard? I have played 12 games now and only scored 1 goal, though I have only let in about 6 and have drawn 8/10 games, just can't seem to score or win. All of my players are too slow and not good enough to do anything.
-
We are rubbish at free-kicks though. I had mastered it on 5 with Savage, but can't get close this year with anyone.

I think he was saying that if Fife didn't like what Theno had written then he should have just ignored it.

[Archived] West Ham United 2-1 Our beloved rovers
Eddie replied to Presty On Tour's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
I feel sorry for Mokoena, I think he has all the makings for a good midfielder or a defender, but he needs games and he simply won't get that while in our squad, really he needs to go away on loan. I wasn't too happy with how we played yesterday. We weren't really at the races in the first half and in the second we managed to dominate without creating chances, which isn't a good sign. Benni looked pretty good and it was also good to see Bentley getting another goal, they were two of the only players who impressed. -

Definately go for FM, don't even pick CM up in the store to look at it, it would be a waste of time. This isn't like FIFA versus PES, where it is to a certain degree down to taste, FM is clearly the superior game and you will be buying the second best if you go for CM. -

Manager about to be sacked, team that can't win, sounds just like a Rovers loss to me. 2-0 West Ham -

Is there still an interest in starting a BRFCS league? -

Have they fixed it so that they can't arrange endless future fees? -
[Archived] Should Dunny Have Come Home?
Eddie replied to blinddevotion's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Because savage doesn't have a history of missing 40% (or more) of games over the course of a season, Dunn does. Every player will miss a game or two now and then, but missing 40% of a season is a lot, the saddest fact is that he's played in 63% and it is an improvement. What if Blackburn were to sign a player tomorrow who wasn't from Blackburn, but had shown some promise at a young age before being sold a few seasons ago and subsequently struggled to get onto the pitch. We'd all be up in arms, why should we sign him simply because he's a Blackburn fan and he still attends games? He's a talented player, but he's not fit enough and he gets too many injuries. -

Eddie replied to blinddevotion's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
63% still isn't good enough for a player that we'd sign with a view to being a player in our starting line up, even if he plays 7/10 games we still have to find a player who can start 30% of our games, which means we'd have to sign another good player, meaning this transfer would be pointless. -
Shocking. Not acceptable at this level, or any level really for that matter. Thrown at least a point away and that is something we can't afford to do, even at this stage of the season. Bolton our are rivals, both in the in the local sense and in the table and to hand them three points like that is sickening. I know that in the cold light of day this may seem knee-jerk, and I never like us losing, but to have missed penalties this year that have cost us at least 4 points is simply horrible.

[Archived] Rovers Allege Racism
Eddie replied to only2garners's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Why is he getting upset? I'm sure that Benni has experienced some pretty tough things when it comes to racism given his age and when he would have been growing up in South Africa, why should he not be able to get upset if someone chooses to insult him purely on the basis of his skin colour? Why is anyone on here defending racism? It is more offensive to insult someone's size than their colour in Eastern Europe? That may well be because they are all white (or slightly darker in some cases, but not black by any means). You wouldn't be offended if someone called you a "white bstard" because there is no history behind what is being said, you or I have never had to deal with racism or even think about it, that is why we don't care. -

Grass looked to be very long and it certainly made everything slow. We would have passed around them all day had the game been back at Ewood, but both teams played on the same pitch so it wouldn't have been a good excuse for a poor result. Great result, good performance and let's keep it up. -

For £17 you may as well get the new one, especially if you are playing one that is two seasons old. -
I'll go for 3-0 Rovers on this one, Benni to get his first hat-trick.
-
-
So does this mean that I have to make flight and hotel bookings before I know if I'll get tickets or not? Wouldn't be great if I then didn't get any.
-
Where do you get the forms from? Saw them a couple of weeks ago, but I can't find them anymore.

Good to know that we agree theno.

I would say that Newcastle would probably take Nelsen, Neill, Emerton (based on this season), MGP, Reid and Benni off of us and they might not mind having some of our other players, the likes of Savage, Friedel and Bentley would all be useful additions to their squad. What I would argue is that they are a team of big names, but that doesn't mean that they are a big or a good team. I think you can't continue to blame their poor performance on poor managers, at the end of the day if the squad was that good then they would do the business when they step out onto the pitch.
