Silly games!? I've asked you a very simple question that you wont answer. One can only therefore conclude that there are NO CIRCUMSTANCES under which you would sack Mowbray and he would have a job for life even if we ended up playing in the Blackburn Combination Sunday League with only a dozen spectators or so and you being one of them!
-
Yet again, you evade the question. UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD YOU SACK MOWBRAY? If you wont answer such a simple question then I think your input to this MB has zero credibility. We all articulate and rationalise our opinions. Why can't you? And for clarity, Neil would not be my choice. I am just posting what I have been told.

You tell me under what circumstances you would sack Mowbray and in return I'll tell you how much I would be prepared to wager!

You never did say why you backed him Chaddy only that you would review in the summer. I have asked you on a number of occasions now, under what circumstances would you sack Mowbray? Our results are poor, our performances are even worse and even top 6 now looks wishful thinking. Surely, you must agree the time has come for Mowbray to go? -

For context, we were playing an injury ravaged Doncaster from League 1 so Rovers' injuries just don't cut it with me. I think we were just horrible to watch on a horrible pitch with a disinterested manager. My thoughts / opinions on our starting eleven: Pears - horribly at fault for the goal. Unbelievable this guy has been given a four year deal. The Greek lad must be poor if Pears is 2nd choice. Buckley - 'the one' will never be a footballer whilst he's a hole in his arse Lenihan - in regression Johnson - legs gone and going through the motions Bell / Douglas - struggle to recall two worse left full backs in almost 60 years of watching Rovers Downing - just why oh why did Mowbray blow his last bit of budget on this guy. A pointless and unnecessary signing Trybull - not good enough for Norwich and not good enough for us Travis - the lad's not fit and overweight Dolan - flatters to deceive. Looks busy but no end product Dack - as Travis, the lad's not fit and overweight Brereton - gone backwards again. Needs to try and stay on his feet more instead of trying to win free kicks/penalties A sad, sad day. FA Cup Third Round day historically special. Yesterday was an abomination. -
Our owners are sat in Pune possibly thinking just wtf is going on. This season was not meant to be like this. Our financial losses are growing by the week and we are, IMO, nowhere near the promised land of the PL. What do you do? I think Waggott and Mowbray are now under pressure, and not before time, and just maybe, Mowbray knows his time is now up (hence his body language today). You could sell Armstrong, sack Waggott, Mowbray, Venus et al and give a new manager a decent slug of the Armstrong sale receipts to 'go again'. Spoke again tonight with a relative with close links to PNE and he reckons Alex Neill will be managing Rovers before the window is closed! The second time within a week I've had this conversation with him.

I think the lad is awful. IMO, he is so weak and offers nothing wherever he plays. Wish those PL clubs would come in quickly with their £10million - watching a sounder of pigs fly across my garden!!!! -

Mate, you are even unable to articulate your arguments! I think it's no secret Williams was very closely linked to Swansea and MLS pre season / early season. I think it's clear Mowbray was happy to sign Ayala despite his injury record (only played some half of the league games for M'boro last season and I think if you look at his appearance record over the last three seasons, I think you will find on average, he's missed a third of league games) so it is no surprise, at least to me, that he's only started in 7 or 8 league games for us with half the season gone. Talk about a manager shooting himself in the foot. Might also have helped if Mowbray hadn't blown his remaining budget on, IMO, the pointless and unnecessary signing of Downing. Think defenders are still coming.................!? -

Indeed, let's have some context. The 2/4 senior cbs out for the season - Mowbray was thought to be looking to offload Williams and we apparently couldn't agree a fee with Swansea whilst Mowbray's hand was forced with Wharton (just as it was with Travis - no other options) and he suddenly becomes the best thing since sliced bread. As for Ayala who is out for a month, Mowray signed a centre back who I think you will find missed 20+ league games with M'boro last season (seem to recall him being the butt of jokes on M'boro forum) and over a dozen more in each of the the two seasons prior to that. Ayala has made just 7 or 8 starts for Rovers and we are now half way through the season! If we sign players who seem to have some history of missing a substantial number of games then what do you expect and whose fault is that!? So we seem to bemoaning the loss of two players who Mowbray seemed quite indifferent to before the season started and the loss of a centre back who some would think was an accident waiting to happen when we signed him. -

There is a reason why Norwich let Trybull go and, IMO, that reason is plain to see from his performances for Rovers. It's what players do in the here and now. As for not seeing Whiteman play, have seen him 'live' (not TV!) against local teams on three occasions. Think he has the attributes to develop into at least a very good Championship midfielder. For a 23/24 year old, he's already got good game time under his belt, is combative (and boy we need some of that) and has an eye for goal. We signed Dack from League One and I think he had a similar appearance and goal record to Whiteman and although obviously a different type of player, he turned out to be a bit of a player didn't he!? -

Wow. IMO, Rothwell different type of midfielder, Holtby now washed up and never box to box and as for Johnson and Trybull, you surely are trying wind someone up if you would play either of those in front of Whiteman. We have only seen the odd flash from Davenport and, at 22, nothing to suggest he is going to be anywhere near the dominant midfielder we need - IMO, he is playing at least one league too high. As for Buckley, I don't think the lad has potential - he simply hasn't got it. IMO, all this stuff about PL clubs being interested and worth £10million is pure cr@p and for the fairies. If he was that good, he would have nailed down a place with us two years ago and would have been whisked off by a top PL club. Players with REAL potential show it an an early age. Look at 17 year old Elliott. Look at Foden, City - same age as Buckley but with 60+ senior appearances to his name and effecting games at the highest level. As for Whiteman, if he is only a "middle of the road Championship" player then he would feel quite at home at Ewood because that is, at best, what I think we are and where we will continue to be with, IMO, the managerial dinosaur Mowbray and his 3rd rate coaching staff in charge. -

Feckin hell, we are playing Donny of League 1 who have been ravaged by Covid. I expect to see Dack and Brereton start. Unless Mowbray throws a complete wobbler and lines up with 4 dustbins across the back then it's a nailed on home banker. Rovers' win is 13/18 and barring any Mowbray idiocy (I'll make that call when I see our line up at 2.00pm), I'll be placing £180 to win £130. And before anyone questions my sanity, I made a bundle on Man City tonight who, after their Chelsea performance, were as high as 11/10 to win tonight - a licence to print money. -
Allegedly, we parted with a member of the team for disciplinary reasons.

Always good when Rovers win and you make a bob or two. However, sadly IMO, this just papers over the cracks and eases any pressure on Mowbray and we are likely to be stuck with, IMO, this dinosaurian lummox of a manager until hell freezes over. -

I'd take a loss here to get rid of Mowbray. IMO, we are truly hopeless and going nowhere but downwards. -

It's football but not as we know it! TBH, watching Rovers, to me, is so feckin depressing. Now a toss up as to whether I go for a walk (lots of folk seem to be having fun in the snow and can see a couple of fire pits glowing) or whether I open a red to console myself! -
