  1. Buckley is now 21 and, IMO, looks nowhere near a player capable of holding down a place in the Championship. All this stuff about PL interest and being worth £10m is, IMO, for the fairies. I hope the lad proves me wrong and has a stormer tonight and becomes a mainstay of our side but, quite frankly, I think there is a better chance of @chaddyrovers becoming a charity worker in Burnley
  2. A nice guy whose career was effectively finished with a badly broken leg. As a schoolboy/youth international, George was touted as the next Duncan Edwards but that potential didn't really develop. Might be wrong here but seem to recall he debuted for Everton at just 16 or 17 years of age! George lived at Pleasington and worked for Star Paper Mill in sales when his footballing days were finished. Think he moved to the Lake District when he retired and lost track of him then. RIP.
  3. There aren't many who realise that! Sadly, i think Dack's injury will have robbed him of at least half a yard of pace he couldn't afford to lose.
  4. Was leading from start to finish and stormed home by at least 20 lengths! With BOG got 16/5!
  5. Think Buckos Boy failed to finish - IMO, quite appropriate!!! My missus, who choses her nags by the name, had a fiver e/w on Mon Petit Cheri which came second at, wait for it, 200/1! My horse racing bet for the day is also at Plumpton - Little Awkward in the 13.18, you might just get 3/1.
  6. IMO, absolutely right. I think it's all self preservation stuff. I don't think we are moving forward as a club - at best, it's stagnation which will soon turn to regression should Mowbray remain here too much longer.
  7. The type of fixture we love and excel in. This is as big a home banker as you could possibly get. Just a question of how many goals we run in - a minimum of 3 and I'd go as high as 6. Bang on Rovers and fill yer boots for Christmas.
  8. Rotherham (H) - Win Stoke (A) - Draw Sheff Wed (H) - Win Huddersfield (A) - Win Birmingham (A) - Win These, in the main, are easy games which will have Mowbray salivating. The 'flat track bullies' to take 13 out of 15 points. Get every spare penny you have together and bang it on Rovers to beat Rotherham on Wednesday night. Odds aren't great at 5/8 but every £80 will get you a £50 return. I would put a Rovers' win at 98% - these chances don't come round too often. The type of fixture Rovers have breezed this season.
  9. I've based my opinions on what I've seen at Brockhall and wherever else academy teams and Rovers have played. I find it extremely interesting watching our coaching staff both pre match and also during the game and I've not been impressed with this lot! I think Venus would struggle to get a job independently of Mowbray - he's always followed Mowbray around and I think succeeded him in a small number of games in a caretaker capacity. IMO, he's not had the ambition or drive to 'go it alone' or do 'something else' without Mowbray. Think Lowe's been around Rovers for about 10 years or so and I've always thought him to be an uninspiring individual whether it be in the academy or with the first team. As for Benson, I don't think he's ever played the game professionally and I think he first got involved at Carlisle in 'Football in the Community' and Kinder brought him to Rovers about five years ago. IMO, he's out of his depth and thought there was a credibility issue with Raya based on what I saw in pre match and half time routines. Terry Gennoe and Bobby Mimms were respected goalkeeper coaches in the game having both played consistently well at a high level in the game - enough said.
  10. I once spent three days on a job in Hartlepool and without being unfair, I found the folk generally to be a bit of a strange lot - I will diplomatically leave it there.
  11. A winning mentality that, IMO, Mowbray simply does not have. A winning mentality is contagious and all embracing - no one wants to let the side down and woe betide anyone who does.
  12. IMO, our coaching staff are 4th rate and significantly less than average. I very, very much doubt any other Championship club would employ Venus, Lowe and Benson in the same capacity as what they are at Ewood.
  13. “We were in League One only two-and-a-half years ago and we’re trying to build and grow". Mowbray post match in yesterday's LT. So feckin what !?!? As far as I'm aware, Mowbray has not been forced to sell any player during his tenure and, relatively, has had untold riches (what most other Championship managers could only dream of) to build a squad capable of getting us promotion to the PL. After four years, Mowbray, has, IMO, miserably failed. The bottom line is we have failed to beat a top half team this season (a damning statistic) and promotion is just a dream. Places 3 to 6 mean zilch unless you win the play offs. It's more than time to move on.
  14. “We’re on a journey to get better. We have an ambition to try and push on and be around the top six in this division and after 46 games we’ll see whether we’re good enough. “We were in League One only two-and-a-half years ago and we’re trying to build and grow". I just wish Mowbray would feck off. Sick and tired of what, IMO, is just bullsh1t, followed by more bullsh1t. Sadly, our owners and happy clappers seem to buy it.
  15. Think we would be relegated by Christmas. It would be carnage. Think Mowbray would be saying we need to give these lads who got us promoted a chance (as he did when we came up from League 1).
  16. Sorry but don't think the lad has it and never will have. If some think PL clubs sniffing at £10million then they must be as p1ssed as I will be at midnight tonight.
  17. Rotherham 2 up against Bristol city. Hate to think who Mowbray will think we are playing next!
  18. Over the border into Yorkshire this lunchtime and enjoyed a bite and a pint or two as pubs open. Think I'll head back!
  19. We could have Messi dropped in on us but I still think Mowbray would mismanage. Little will change until we have a new manager.l
  20. Need Dolan and or Chapman on. We need players who frighten defenders.
  21. To a degree you make your own luck! We got lucky three times against Millwall, what more do you want!?
  22. Sadly, IMO, our manager never, ever changes.
  23. Depressingly familiar. The opposition know our weaknesses and set out to exploit. IMO, we would be better off with Mulgrew at left back than Douglas!
  24. A new manager and back room staff. Mowbray appointed what, IMO, is a shower of sh1t.
