  1. How are people meant to buy a half season ticket and seat when seats are taken up in general ticket sales. Does a half season ticket get you the same seat for all remaining games? If so then how can you choose if all the seats in the preferred areas are gone? Two of my mates looking to grab them together and is proving tricky selecting a seat near my ST when there has been a couple of spare seats most games
  2. Hi, I have created a product that I think will be of interest to this community. It’s called the Groundhopper Notebook. It’s a book that I have designed myself. It is essentially a tool for football fans to use to record information and stats from matches they attend. It was created as a present for a family member last Christmas, and he loved it so much that I thought I would have a go at turning it into a sellable product. If this product is of interest to you then you can purchase one and support my small business by clicking on the link to my website below. https://pitchsideshop.sumupstore.com/ I am currently offering a Christmas discount on all orders made before the end of December. Use code XMASHOPPER at checkout to get 10% off. These make great presents for football fans or you can treat yourself to one in time for the upcoming busy festive football period. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Billy Pitchside Shop
  3. For the last few years, 4,000 Holes has been establishing a ‘101 Great Goals’ collection. These have been put forward as fanzine articles by a variety of Rovers supporters – please email roversfanzine@gmail.com with a write-up to get yours included! The rules are very relaxed. It can be a Goal of the Season contender, a promotion-winning strike, a scrappy effort which broke a goalscoring duck, or one which is memorable for any other obscure reason. Some maverick has even added a couple of goals scored against Rovers into the list! On that note, here's Matt Le Tissier's induction from this day 30 years ago. The best goal Ewood has ever seen? https://www.brfcs.com/articles/101-great-goals:-matt-le-tissier/2097
  4. Does anyone else look at the seating plan to see how many seats have been sold? I'm currently checking the match versus them down the road.... I'm surprised how slow its been since opening how many have gone
  5. It's that time of year again when the FA Cup third round draw is upon us. As a old traditionalist the FA Cup still a really important part of football and one of the highlights of recent seasons was reaching the quarter final a couple of years ago. I want a home tie primarily but if we do get drawn away I don't want it to be against a Premier League team. Either a League Two or non League team away would potentially give us a live TV match and the riches that go with it. And, more importantly for us fans an opportunity to progress. The draw is live on BBC 2 at 7 pm on Monday.
  6. Hi everyone, Been a while since I posted (used to be active in the pre-Venkys days), but I wanted to pass on a message to see if anyone could help with some fundraising ahead of the Boro game coming up after the international break on the 27th. A good mate of my mine from uni is a Boro fan, and his little boy Henry has been fighting a very rare form of cancer for almost a year. It’s pretty expensive, despite the NHS’s best efforts as looking after Henry is a full-time job right now and they've had to relocate near the hospital in Newcastle. Boro fans have been amazing and raised over £40,000 to help out. I’m hoping it’s possible to get the word out to Rovers fans so that anyone who’s able to can contribute ahead of the match. If you're able to contribute anything then there's page on the Middlesbrough website at https://www.mfc.co.uk/news/2024/october/07/an-update-on-henry/. I live in Canada now so I'm pretty out of the loop on matchday activities, but I wonder if there's a way to raise awareness among the fanbase ahead of the game away to Boro. Thanks! Alan
  7. BRFCS is inviting fans to share their experiences and perspectives on Blackburn Rovers' recent enforcement of concession ticket policies. This short, anonymous survey is a chance for us to understand how these changes are affecting Rovers fans, whether you’re a season ticket holder, a frequent attendee, or someone who occasionally cheers on the team at Ewood Park. Your feedback will help us gather insights into the fan experience around ticketing policies, including: Awareness of concession ticket eligibility requirements, The impact of recent changes on your ticketing experience, and Any challenges or improvements you’d like to see. How to Take the Survey The survey is quick, completely anonymous, and can be accessed here: https://forms.gle/JSHnaXYHCqmY7hyg9 After completing it, please consider sharing it with other Rovers fans to help us build a broader picture of fan perspectives on these changes. Warm regards, The BRFCS Team
  8. Morning all As part of my duty-bound indoctrination (!) of my seven-year-old, I am planning to bring him to Ewood with me for the Swansea game. It will be his first time at a football match, at all, due to his being a bit anxious about some social things. He is, however, a fan of Rovers, wears the kits to his own football training each week, and I know he is keen to come to a game, albeit clearly nervous. Is there any advice you could offer me in terms of making it a good experience for him, whatever the result!? Also, would any of you who have taken children along recommend the Family Stand or the Riverside, instead, as likely being the most appropriate for this situation? I've not sat in either, before. Thanks very much.
  9. Well, thanks to members generosity, we have raised £50 (£62.50 with Gift Aid) for Macmillan Cancer Support through the sale of my Rovers ties. Many thanks to NeilinBristol, big, big thanks to Tyrone shoelaces and a massive, massive thank you to WilsdenRover who contributed without receiving a tie! Watch out for more of my Rovers related items that will be on sale to aid this charity soon. 👍🙏

  10. I’ve had this on my wall for a long time, a signed print of Stuart Clark’s photo of “the plane” that flew over Burnley that time and recently a friend send me this photo of Ewood that they took and it’s going up on my office wall. what’s your favourite piece of Rovers related art or memorabilia? let’s see some pictures!!!
  11. Flowers is answering questions tomorrow on Reddit - link here. The way it works is, people post the questions now and then he'll answer them tomorrow at 7pm. Mods feel free to delete if this has been reported elsewhere (though couldn't see anything from a cursory search).

  12. Thanks to the exceptional generosity of two members 🙏 there are now 7 ties left for anyone who wants them! The one with the shirts has gone, please reply or pm me if you fancy one or all of them - postage paid. The proceeds are going to Macmillan Cancer Support 👍
  13. I started this in the Bristol C match thread but believe it might be best for it to have it's own thread. I'll update this as the week's go by, this should give us a clear indication on what direction we are heading and how we compare to everyone else this season as well as teams in key positions over the last 5 years. Current PPG - 2.00 Average xPPG over 5yrs | 24/25 Season 1st xPPG - 2.08 | 1st xPPG - 3.00 2nd xPPG - 1.95 | 2nd xPPG - 2.50 3rd xPPG - 1.82 | 3rd xPPG - 2.25 6th xPPG - 1.58 | 6th xPPG - 1.75 12th xPPG - 1.36 | 12th xPPG - 1.25 21st xPPG - 1.02 | 21st xPPG - 0.75 22nd xPPG - 0.96 | 22nd xPPG - 0.5 24th xPPG - 0.80 | 24th xPPG - 0.25 If we win against Bristol C PPG - 2.2 If we draw against Bristol C PPG - 1.8 If we lose against Bristol City PPG - 1.6 (PPG = points per game) (xPPG = expected points per game)
  14. I have for sale my collection of 8 Rovers ties. The money will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Will pay postage and am looking for at least £40 for the lot although higher bids would be nice! Reply on the forum or pm me please. Many thanks.
  15. Hi, Norwich fan here, just wondering if you could help us settle a debate. This chap was sitting in our directors box at the game, which means he was likely a guest of either the Norwich execs or the Blackburn execs. Nobody can work out who he is, and somebody is trying to claim that its our next Norwich signing. Is this somebody who is well known to Blackburn fans, e.g. a former Blackburn player?
  16. Couldn't see another thread specific on this. I can see comments scattered around a few different pages so thought I'd centralise here. Markandy was outstanding for Chesterfield according to their local rag in their 5 nil win. 2 assists, ran Crewe ragged and was subbed after only 55mins. This is the kind of loan he should have had instead of that Aberdeen farce. He needs lots of games against players who will kick him. Connor O'Riordab played 90 mins for Cambridge in their 1 nil defeat in league 1.be interesting to see his progress there, considering that was the level of football he came from. Who else do we have on loan?
  17. Hello. I thought I'd ask this here out of curiosity.. have you had many players whose fathers were famous footballers? At Stoke we had Viv Anderson and Jason Koumas' sons make their debuts for us the other night, which adds to an impressive lineup for us in recent years.. sons of: Bryan Gunn Viv Anderson Paul Ince Rory Delap Shaun Wright-Phillips Lou Macari Jason Koumas Kevin Campbell Mamady Sidibe Only a couple of players off a bloody strong XI, and we can make up the numbers with Tony Pulis, whose kid made a few nepo appearances for us, and Eidur Gudjohnsen's dad, who played for Iceland. Feels like we're an anomaly.. pointless musing really, just wondering whether other teams can compare
  18. So, Its prediction time and who do we think will win the Premier League, Championship, League 1 and League 2? My prediction:- Premier League - Man City Championship - Luton Town league 1 - Rotherham United League 2 - Port Vale
  19. Myself and my son usually catch a Rovers game around his birthday. This year we were thinking of doing an away game instead. Can you get away tickets from the Rovers Website without a season ticket? Don't fancy ending up in a home end. Apolgies if this is a stupid question.
  20. @J*B gave me the heads up to put some of the merchandise that I and a group, over in Oswaldtwistle have had commissioned for Ossy Fest. Firstly, Ossy Fest is something we started to try and boost revenue for our pubs, help out original bands and also put all the proceeds into local school music lessons, check us out; https://ossyfest.co.uk For this years festival, a very old friend of mine who started this; https://www.rocknrollfootballshirts.co.uk wanted to get involved and designed three shirts for “Ossy Fest” and three individual acts, two are rovers themed, hence why I thought it might be worth asking BRFCS if they’d help and they kindly said yes. The rovers home kit is based on a local band “The Ruby Tuesdays” take a look at their latest video, a really energetic indie sound, lovely lads. The rovers away is based on a local band called “The Rafters”, some of you will likely know Nat from the Ewood WMC! Absolute tour de force of the local punk scene. There is also an Accy Stanley one, the rest of our advert is here on Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/share/vCNWxrEvBvgxYKe9/?mibextid=WC7FNe Finally - please come and watch our bands in Ossy over the weekend of the 9/10/11th of August, I have attached a lineup. £3 on door every pub. JB
  21. Bit of a weird format ... 7 players from any EFL team, only 2 from the same team. Change every player every week if you want and then pick 2 teams who will also score you points. Fancy your chances? Join in below. https://fantasy.efl.com/leagues/join/HTGPAJEQ The winner at the end of the season will receive a very special, one off, BRFCS shirt!
  22. If anyone ends up with a spare for dingle land in august please let me know. I’m only member this year thanks
  23. Last Friday I went to "An Audience with Dean Saunders" apart from being 45 minutes late and only doing about 50 minutes each side of a 45 minutes break it was just about OK. £20 with a pasty thrown in lol. First half he more or less just mapped out his career with a few questions from the audience. Second half was a bit more interesting but not shocking as it was in a church and there were kids there. He said that Souness actually signed him 5 times during his career and brought him in at Rovers to try and get a tune out of Corrido Grabbi.
  24. Anyone know when Stanley friendly tickets are on sale fancy that one early July
