  1. Past hour
  2. But watching him at Chelsea he lost that cavalier style. Mourinho was a positional coach. Bit like Maresca is at Chelsea now
  3. I’ve read it also. And Keown never played ! Typical Sven.
  4. I read Jansen's autobiography. He was with his girlfriend and they decided to go out on a scooter but jansen refused to wear a helmet he said he doesn't have any memory of the accident. He also said he was penciled in by sven to go to the world cup. Souness broke the news to him after a game. He had his suit ready and everything then tord grip convinced sven to take an extra defender
  5. Had he played every game that season - rather than missing about a third of it with niggles - I'm convinced we'd have been in the Champions League. Incredible player when we kept him on the park. It's difficult to compare Bellamy to a fully fit and firing Santa-Cruz, but I'd have them both a little ahead of Sutton, personally.
  6. They didn't ruin Duff. He was a key player for them in two title winning seasons.
  7. Cheers @yeti-dog, Thanks, my treatment is going well 🀞 I have my last session of immunotherapy on 6th August (it's a 2 year course) and after that I'll have 3 monthly scans. When (and it will) the tumour in my lung starts growing again (may be anything from 6 months to 5 years, seemingly) I will then go on a course of chemotherapy or radiotherapy. I'm fairly active still, get tired easily and am a lot shorter of breath but if you'd have given me this 2 years ago when I was diagnosed, I'd have taken it! I hope your surgery is successful and you have a good support network around you. I spent a lot of time researching all the various aspects of being a cancer sufferer, Macmillan are a great resource for this and have given me lots of useful information. I live alone and have great neighbours but all my family are still in Lancashire so I have to be pretty independent which suits me as I enjoy my own company 😁 My biggest driving force is having my dogs, they give me a reason to get up in the mornings and a positive start to the day. Positive mental attitude is a big factor, I go into my oncology and treatment sessions with a cheery attitude, there's always people worse off, quite often a lot younger. I don't know how long you've been diagnosed but when you visit hospital regularly (I'm there a couple of times every month) it becomes less daunting and more "routine". Thanks for asking about my health, it's been quite cathargic putting my thoughts down in writing πŸ‘ Good luck with your treatment, the forthcoming surgery means you're moving forward πŸ‘ Once again, best wishes.
  8. I think Matty would be just behind Bellamy for me. He had it all but Bellamy was quicker. Both fantastic players in my opinion,I still shudder when I think about the accident in Rome.
  9. As I said I’ve seem them all from 1961-62 and I rate Bellamy above all the others bar Shearer and there was some brilliant players in my little list.
  10. We've had so many. Forgot how good jansen was. His debut goal against spurs everyone had their head in their hands. Absolute disgrace sven taking keown over Jansen
  11. I have nothing to add to my original points and comments regarding Tyjon. We aren't going to agree here so why don't leave it here agree to disagree
  12. Joe Cole. Mourinho had a habit of making technical players become more robotic
  13. And Jansen. Andy Cole before we paired him with Yorke and ruined both of then. Santa Cruz. Going - back Garner, then in the old days Fred Pickering and Andy McEvoy. Just before my time - Peter Dobing and Roy Vernon. All top class.
  14. Duff was very good for Chelsea, injuries slowed him down in the end. Which Cole did they ruin?
  15. I’m 41 years old and I’d happily have Bellamy over anyone, bar Shearer in my lifetime.
  16. Agree but he looks a bit of a prick the way he prances around the technical area as wales manager always in the ear of the officials
  17. I think he’s finally grown up by now. He’s doing well with Wales. I remember seeing him in his very early days at Norwich and thinking - β€œ Mm, he’s nothing special β€œ.
  18. Chelsea had a habit of ruining good players. Duff cole Sutton. He only played around 10 games for them
  19. He didn’t do much after he left Rovers unless you count his time up in Scotland as something. The best I saw him play was for Celtic when they beat us at Ewood.
  20. I had my head in my hands when he missed that. Remember walking away from old Trafford gutted. Shame because it was such an enjoyable day. The banter with the Chelsea fans outside the ground before the game. Remember one asking me who was going to win I said rovers. He replied 'then you woke up'
  21. I also thought benny Mccarthy was excellent in his first season. Then he downed tools. He ended up doing nothing at West ham
  22. One of those times when he had too much time to think where he was going to put it.
  23. There's no way I'd have Bellamy over Sutton. Sutton was the complete forward. He had a mix of Teddy Sheringham and Alan Shearer. Bellamy was quick and a good finisher
  24. If you don't rate Williams, McLoughlin won't excite you
  25. Any idea how many ST's we've sold? Where's Goozburger when you need him πŸ˜…
