  1. Past hour
  2. Even by your poor standards this is completely unintelligible. What are you saying here?
  3. Exactly the same with the domestic ones as well. There's a reason they never gave the job to Brian Clough.
  4. Good luck to him. He obviously cares and I hope he does a good job, he will learn a hell of a lot from trying to form a competent side from the ashes.
  5. To gather at Brockhall by 6AM means those same players were climbing out of their beds as early as 4.30AM dependent upon where they live!
  6. Cheap. That's the only consideration that comes into play. Folk are still thinking that anything this club does is for the best of the playing side, it isn't. The side on the pitch is well down on priorities at this club, all about getting a side out on the pitch as cheap as possible.
  7. Got a hell of a goalscoring record for a midfield player. 25 goals in 63 games ? Be delighted to get a striker with anything like those stats.
  8. My thought from yesterdays game : Both teams started the game with a similar plan A, NEC were better at it than us and controlled most of the first half. Second half we try plan B and it works, we get ourselves back into the game, in fact we probably should have got level. Then for some inexplicable reason we reverted to plan A, but with plan B players. The inevitable outcome was that NEC took back control of the game. Anyway it was only a friendly, bring on the Baggies.
  9. I'm not endorsing it, just offering a viable explanation judging by the tight fistedness of our ownership
  10. You want your quality on the pitch as much as possible not just through the door in the building so to speak.
  11. Maybe the rationale is better quality for bargain prices? Risky though
  12. Why are they so intent on signing players with known existing problems ? Never ever underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
  13. Overseas managers and their assistants clueless to anything but the big 4 - and West Ham - being paid absolute fortunes by an FA only interested in 'shirt selling' players and corporate sponsors favourites.
  14. Nixon also said miller was out for two months the man literally makes stuff up and fires enough dung out eventually some of it sticks and then he claims he’s very much in the know
  15. Henriksson is a hard working, physical central midfielder who had a very good season last year. He can look a bit clumsy but is quite quick. He was also the most booked player in the whole league with 12 bookings in 26 matches. This season he has started 7 matches and has 5 bookings. A lot of these bookings are from late tackles. I think the main concern with Henriksson is that he's already had quite a lot of problems with injuries in his career. As previously mentioned, he also has Crohn's disease, which was diagnosed in 2022. Spring 2021 he tore his posterior cruciate ligament in training and missed the rest of the season. Last year he was able to play for most of the season, but this year he had some unspecified hip injury during pre-season and also missed a few matches recently because of a gluteal muscle tear. In an interview in autumn 2023 he said that Crohn's disease has made him more injury prone and that he cannot train as much as his teammates.
  16. Sounds risky. Do the deal and the OP goes tits up, what then?
  17. Yeah I was wondering after posting if you can actually sign them and bring them over without having a ESC spot, would they be allowed to train etc? Maybe like you say, do the deal now, send him for his op and tell him to stay in Switzerland until Jan 1st then maybe we could register him and give him an ESC spot then if someone can be converted by then.
  18. Today
  19. Not sure how Nixon can diagnose the requirement for surgery or quote recovery timescales unless he's VERY close to medical staff at the club. I would have thought surgery is pretty rare, it isn't a serious injury, just an annoyance.
  20. Wouldn’t be allowed to train without ESC slot. Unless plan is for him to recover after surgery and get fit away from the club. But can’t see that happening. Better just to pay mofoumbi off
  21. It will more than likely be our better players on higher wages who are sold to make way πŸ˜‰
  22. Or, if that still falls foul of esc rules, If Rovers really want him, they could just agree a deal in advance to conclude on 1st Jan
  23. Obviously either selling or not registering some of our worse players.
  24. Great shout actually, maybe that is the plan.
