John Williams was always firmly of the view your finish in the table was roughly commensurate with the size of your wage bill in comparison to everyone else. I don't completely subscribe to that but by now our wage bill must be amongst the lowest in the Championship and that's exactly where we find ourselves.

Most fees paid over the length of 3 or 4 year contracts meaning we've actually 'spent' far less and the rest will no doubt be covered by future sales. So the re-investment to date from the Wharton/Sammy sales etc is minimal.

However the bottom line is that in summer we sold decent quality, and bought in lesser quality at a moderately negative net spend, and presumably a massive reduction in the wage bill. And find ourselves struggling badly. As 99% of supporters predicted would happen in advance. Quite surprising really.

It wasn't raining much during the game last night. That's why the pitch was fine. During the Ipswich game it rained incessantly through the first half and even heavier during the second. The pitch couldn't cope with that. Nothing to do with Lancs CC equipment IMO

Maybe you think about your actions next time you throw your toys out of pram when complaining about others not answering questions, 3 or 4 new signings is realistic with 2 or 3 leaving, so centre back signing, right wing back signing, striker signing and long term Tronstad's replacement with players like Gueye and Pickering leaving. Neither starting or rated by Ismael too much

There is no way they spent around 10 million pull your head out of the clouds i think the next accounts will tell a truer picture of around half that spent. Around 10 million in fees maybe committed over time including various add ons but not spent.

I wasn't even referring to Henriksson, we signed Forshaw, Tavares, Baradji and TGH in summer.

I hope you are right but 5-7k is still a lot of people I see Bristol rovers play at the mem and they are now relegated yet still get 6k each game at home Tues sat.
