Wharton seems to be made of glass and never appears to be far away from the next injury. You cannot build a team or depend on players who are so injury prone. Carter the same. Rovers should look for a replacement pronto, or bring O'Riordan back as soon as possible and see if he's up to the job

Sounds similar to plantar fasciitis, uncomfortable and irritating but doesn't stop you doing anything. PF is very difficult to get rid of though, and sometimes never goes away

The initial prognosis was ten weeks. I had a similar injury years ago and it a strange thing that I could run almost normally but pushing off to sprint was uncomfortable. I was told just to rest with some gentle stretching daily.

Do we know what the likely recovery time is if that's the case?

He has a slight tear in the sheath of his achilles I understand. That is completely different to a full year which would most likely be a full season out.
