  1. Past hour
  2. That’s what I said if you cared to read it correctly they were likely paid more for one year at Derby than we were offering for two at rovers not sure what your last sentence relates to tbh
  3. Very sad and very true. Venkys would not be tolerated at b*ly or Preston. Bolton and Blackpool fans demonstrated how you get rid of poisonous owners. Won't happen here.
  4. I wonder if Leonard having always had Adam Wharton playing him perfect through balls did him some favours coming up the ranks? Buckley I got the impression is thick as pig shit and fell under the influence of Dacky/Bezza, who both could piss around but still do the business on the pitch.
  5. Ismael is bigging up Baradji here https://x.com/Rovers/status/1959923708681916629 Wonder if we can expect an announcement today on Ryoya Morishita signing here today
  6. Last time we went before this year was 2015 - it's changed even since then. Capacity is about 35k nowadays. You'll have a great time at Oasis - knowing how good it was I'm jealous you've still got it to come! Our last outdoor/summer gig this Friday - Nile Rodgers & Chic at Piece Hall. Never been but heard good things about the venue, seen Nile before so know it's guaranteed a good night.
  7. Don't think they'd be down to their last million or two by any stretch if they had to repay all borrowing related to the Club but this is a far more plausible explanation than most.
  8. Think Leonard will be 23 in December, I'm risk averse so I'd like to loan him out, but it's a concern he's hasn't played more minutes.
  9. Water under the bridge now, but you've "given up on it" because you're wrong. It wasn't the length of the contract offered per se that was the problem, as he signed for the same length of time at Derby. It was whatever wages we were offering. You're trying to argue grass isn't green there.
  10. Ribeiro is a much better footballer than Pickering - it's night and day. As for Brittain - I think he was helped massively by our tactics last season. He's always been a middling athlete and quick wingers gave him fits - and he always struggled to get back on the counter.
  11. They wanted two more years on the terms we were offering. Probably got similar for one year at Derby iv gave up on the contract situation it’s quite clear this is a full reset
  12. Lennon Miler also a great young central midfielder, seen a bit of him at Motherwell. Got a move to Udinese this summer
  13. Yes, if they don't play him, they might have to start Lyndon Dykes πŸ˜‰
  14. Plus Robertson and Tierney. They do have a few good ones. Up front however it looks nearly as bad as us.
  15. On Football Manager, many years ago, there was an almost unbeatable formation: 4-1-3-2, except the 3 were CMs (1 DM with 3 CMs sat in front of them). Maybe Scotland should try that.
  16. They have 4 really strong players in McTominay and Gilmour at Napoli, McGinn at Villa and Ferguson who has also done really well in Serie A. Unfortunately for them they all are central midfielders.
  17. Do you think we know that the transfer window closes four hours earlier than normal next Monday at 7p.m.?
  18. Today
  19. I think Tronstad deserves a mention as he stood out, just behind Cantwell for man of the match. He was brilliant, snuffed everything out for them and was really composed on the ball setting up attacks. I certainly am not seeing a better defender in Alebiosu compared to Brittain who really improved his one on one defending. Alebiosu often gets caught out of position although sometimes his recovery pace will help him out there to clean up. I also have never been totally convinced by Ribeiro and personally prefer Pickering but I thought he had a really solid game at left back on Saturday which deserves praise.
  20. It does warm my soul to know England are competing for European and World Cup finals and that Scottish team would struggle in the Championship.
  21. I was actually going to say - George Hirst - are they that desperate?
  22. That's a bit sudden....... Suddenly pushing to get restrictions removed in time for a last minute splurge in the transfer window? ....... Then the alarm went off................. πŸ˜‚
  23. Was just about to post that πŸ˜‰ Also, how does Grant Hanley still keep getting called up? He has hardly played for the past couple of years
  24. Don't know if it's the same everywhere but in this Country, instead of trying to make things happen, everyone is absolutely obsessed with possession stats and not giving the ball away or "turning over possession" as is the modern lingo. Maybe if Dolan is encouraged to take his man on a bit more over there and/or cross whenever he gets an opportunity we might see an even more effective player than we had here.
  25. If we're comparing Dolan and Buckley, as someone else pointed out a while ago, in early 2020 Dolan was out on loan at Clitheroe and now he's playing in La Liga, so whatever the experts on here who think he's "an instagrammable Ryan Hedges" might say, he must be doing something right. Buckley on the other hand was apparently seen within the Club at one time as our "next Β£10m player" and bagged himself a bumper five year deal off Broughton since which time he's disappeared off the face of the earth. Buckley is probably also the more naturally talented of the two but just looks like he doesn't enjoy playing professional football. I really can't understand how Dolan, whose attitude was always exemplary, and who has made the absolute most of his abilities, cops so much flak whereas Buckley who appears to have completely wasted his, gets relatively little.
  26. Hyam named in the Scotland squad. Good news for Rovers, should add a few quid on to his sale price.
  27. As a Texan American, I enjoy seeing other Americans perform well, just not against Rovers. πŸ˜„
