  1. Past hour
  2. So you would have been alright if Eustace was sacked and they hired Ismael.. guaranteed you are only saying this because Ismael is our current manager.
  3. I don't think anything has changed. They were crap owners 15 years ago and they are crap owners now.
  4. Derby were 21st when Eustace was appointed and they finished 19th. is that more impressive that what Selles did when he took over Hull who were 24th and he kept them up and finished 21st and was sacked. Derby fans don't seem impressive from what Rovers fans are retweeted on twitter from them about Eustace, Batth, Sanderson, etc. I haven't seen their games to comment or the goals they have conceded apart from Last Friday game when Batth defending was pathetic from him Of course I don't like the way he lied to the Rovers supporters after Wolves game about Derby approach and when he knew about it and that will always play a part in my opinion of him. He admitted he knew on Friday about the approach in his unveiling at Derby. Rovers should have handled it better and not allow him to be in charge of that Wolves game. We should have put him on gardening leave and if I was the CEO/owner of Rovers that exactly what I would have done. I based it results and I am encouraged by Saturday result and performance plus looking forward to our latest 2 signings playing for us. Lets see who else we sign in the next 7 days. On which one I prefer, that depends on results. If I had to pick one right now to appoint it will be Ismael
  5. And to think I was just gonna have a go at Mark's use of "reckons".......He's some hombre that Alan.
  6. The striker link is miles off I’d suggest. No way we’re paying or offering anywhere near close to 5mill for a player (as much as I’d like us to) that fella will be at some other club in the next couple of days
  7. I'd use him as a pivot out wide - taking up good positions, ball fired into him and others playing off him.
  8. Difficult to say yet really, it would seem that Ismael is Gestede's man and they're in it together. I said during pre season that it does feel different, rather than being a continuation of what came before. It's difficult to compare when it seems a completely different set up.
  9. I remember one time the maestro, Tugay got one of the most ridiculous red cards you could wish for, a stupid tackle followed by the most pointless of handballs, he got a standing ovation and I was livid. Think it was against Boro and we ended up losing 3 or 4 nil
  10. Hes got that sort of idiotic play in him. Not the brightest bulb. Never understand why when a player does something so stupid, and gets a red, he gets a standing ovation.
  11. This seems odd? Guy is playing for a club in the top division of French football. Scored ysday in a 4 nil win, only to decide to move to Poland? A bit random? Bear also in mind that he is Senegalese, so no language barrier in France etc.
  12. The hallmark of champions.
  13. Yes, Eustace is better. His results last season were very impressive, Ismael hasnt replicated them. The job he did at Derby to keep them up was very, very impressive. The job he was doing at Birmingham was impressive. You are basically admitting that you are allowing feelings around his departure to cloud your judgement. I have given a firm answer. Eustace 100% I would prefer over Ismael. I am guessing I will not receive the courtesy of a straight answer from you.
  14. His lack of pace would be shown up more out wide. Kargbo would be faster running backwards.
  15. I never said that they were all holes that we wouldnt be able to fill. I am saying that we have lost a number of key players that subsequently leave huge holes. We may well fill them holes adequately, we may have done already. Its not the point I am making. Eustace showed that when Rovers manager. He also then went to Derby and kept them up which was a very impressive achievement. Im not really sure that him having 2 less points than us (and a cup win to our loss) after 3 games proves otherwise. The hypocrisy of you saying that after 3 games and in the same post saying to judge others over a season sums up the mental gymnastics you use to justify things. I am guessing that you would prefer Ismael to Eustace now the former is in charge and not the latter.
  16. No I don't agree Ismael is a downgraded on Eustace. Ismael has a playoff place on his CV, Eustace doesn't. I have explained the sack thing more than bloody now, FFS, move on RF99. No I told I will judge Ismael on results, performances and how we playing not on gut feeling. Yes I liked Eustace but some things around his move to Derby I didn't like which we only found out after he told the media when appointed as Derby head coach has annoyed me about and tarnish his reputation with me So you think Eustace is a better head coach than Ismael and what if true based on?
  17. Went to look up this Rio lad and I think someone has been editing the wiki!
  18. I wanted to see Yuki greeting him not Rudy! πŸ˜›
  19. What a great game for a neutral. Newcastle were the better team overall but Liverpool were lucky but we good goals.
  20. They’ve scored 3 great goals to be fair, far from their best and showing fragility at the back but getting the job done
  21. Great finish from that Liverpool youngster. Liverpool have been wank, deserve nothing.
  22. They may not get it 2-3! This fixture tends to deliver
  23. I am just a visitor here , but I see plenty of Rovers fans on the Lancashire games and hopefully we have a few Lancashire members reading this message board. If you are a member , you are likely being bombarded with messages from the club telling you to vote against 2 resolutions that some members have put forward. That in itself might make you feel suspicious. If it feels like you only know one side of the story that is because the full supporting wording from petitioning members has not so far been allowed to be distributed (citing defamation), we are not allowed to directly contact members to put our case forward as the club do with their case, and leafleting in the ground results in expulsion as a member. That leaves word of mouth and the internet. Even internet posters are now being hounded by the clubs lawyers so I will not go in to much detail here as I do want to get the good people of this site in to any trouble. You may already be persuaded from that to vote FOR our resolutions. But in a nutshell, there are 2 resolutions remaining. The first is a slightly technical one, to vote no confidence in the way the Nominations Committee operate. This is being misrepresented by the club who are implying we want rid of this committee. Not true - we simply want it to operate within the rules so that in a members club all members have the chance to be elected on to the board. Democracy is important. The second resolution is a vote of no confidence in the CEO Daniel Gidney. Some people who have stated their reasons for supporting this have had legal letters so I am just going to simply say I think it is time for change at this once great, proud, cricket club. I hope you agree. Please support both motions by voting FOR, by following the link on the email you will have got from MiVoice . You may appoint the lead petitioner Nick Evans as your proxy if you are not attending the SGMs, or. the chair if you prefer. And if you know any Lancashire Members please pass on the word.
  24. Today
  25. well done Newcastle. They deserved at least a point
