  1. Past hour
  2. The half time show was something to behold, including a shot of Agent Orange.
  3. I would be amazed if that happens. Like Travis, Tronstad, Brittain & Dolan, Hyams wage demands will be more than the club are prepared to pay
  4. Aye but when you are sat at home doing nothing living off your previous payout and a contract lands in front of you worth a million quid win, lose, draw, sacked or not sacked you'll not think twice about signing it. Doesn't really matter what horrors await you does it.
  5. Do what I do - turn the sound off for tv football.
  6. All of them but JDT and mayyybe Eustace were definitely on the scrapheap at the time they arrived here.
  7. Dolan didnโ€™t entertain talks with Broughton either
  8. Itโ€™s a blow because he was one of our few attacking strengths. He could put a good ball in without a doubt. It only struck home to me on Saturday when the kid playing in his place got into those attacking positions that Brittain got into and didnโ€™t know what to do with the ball. He wasnโ€™t the worldโ€™s best defender so that side of his game wonโ€™t be missed but our meagre goal threat has just got more meagre. Anybody know what the relegation odds are ?
  9. Ismael said last season he knew everything that happened before him and he wanted this job. Time people gave up this notion he came into this job without knowing what he was walking in when he accepted the job
  10. What I thought was rather obvious was our bad faith dealings which was played out in public venkys financial issues played out in public manager falling out played out in public and thatโ€™s just obvious to the fan. VI no doubt would have been aware of all this including the contract situations
  11. So was Lambert, Mowbray, JDT and Eustace on this scrapheap as you call it

  13. Yes you've highlighted the point well there, three hundred to several thousands so in other words a normal step to a pro contract at this level. Then after 100 plus Championship appearances against, alongside and often out performing lads on 10-20 thousand a week he wants a contract reflecting that and he 'allegedly' turned down one that obviously didn't. So yes good luck to him, non of that detracts from the fact it's a carbon copy of the Nyambe farce except this time it's a better player.
  14. If Greg Broughton were here I think we would have tied them down personally.
  15. They're all mercenaries. Look at Joao Pedro yesterday pointing to his Chelsea badge ๐Ÿ˜‚. Brittain was about to sign, got a bigger offer now is forcing a move... The lack of perspective from football fans on this subject is quite shocking.
  16. Christ, if I wasn't asleep already, Coldplay would have done the job anyway.
  17. So what he was on the scrapheap and unlikely to be touched by any half decent Championship outfit anytime soon. You don't know the real situation until you've been in the building a while i would have thought that was rather obvious, if in doubt write to Mr J Eustace esquire, Derby.
  18. After the pre match shenanigans I was looking for a reason to turn it off. 'Double pivot' and a chant of 'let's go Chelsea, let's go' was enough of a reason to do just that.
  19. Just for one summer why can't we be normal. Operate like a normal club, offer players with deals coming to an end a new contract, if they don't want it tell them to tell their agent we are after X amount for them to move on. If the owners are not willing to spend, working like a normal trading club is more important than ever. Yet for the second season running we have a player refusing to take part in pre season who 100% will leave the club.
  20. We were just to the left of the centre circle. So Carter was right in front of me more or less. We were supposed to be on row C but I moved to row D, I didnโ€™t want to be burnt alive. On another tropic - what were the mounted police all about ! Were they expecting trouble or did PC Plod fancy a bit of easy overtime in the sun ?
  21. That's an easy one to answer Tyrone. It was brought in so broadcasters could have extra time for advertising and cascaded down so it has now become the norm.
  22. You missed a really good game.
  23. He was on ยฃ300 a week when we rescued him from the PNE scrapheap. He's been on several thousand pounds a week for the majority of his time here - and we know he turned down another pay rise when Broughton was here. He's hardly been hard done to. He thinks the grass is greener - good luck to him.
  24. Why is it 15 minutes in our football ? It used to be 10 minutes. Playing amateur football if the weather was bad weโ€™d turn around and kick off again right away. Back then for a Saturday game Iโ€™d be leaving Ewood at 4-40 regularly. Now itโ€™s 4-55 or 5-00.
  25. Its amazing how many greedy, selfish and disloyal players we've had in recent years!
  26. Impressed enough to take the job and salary on offer none of this information is new to the world
