  1. Past hour
  2. But my overall point is everything is moving towards a cashless society and businesses now being card only payment. That's where the market is going to.
  3. This was your last point but I think this should be the first point. Everyone in English cricket is to blame. The County structure/set up isn't right. We need to be playing 10 first class games a season with the best 2 teams playing off to win the overall competition. The hundred is the ECB main focus and not the first class game. then add T20 competitions not just in England but all around the world. I've just been watching BBL and some English players playing in it. That's people focus mainly Dom Sibley, Hameed and Lyth was the best 5 batsmen in Div 1, so we go back to them for this series in place of Duckett or Crawley do we? why? We struggled on these type of pitches cos they don't play enough county cricket or those pitches aren't being produce hence my point about when we should be playing them and not in the last week in September or first week in October. I am blaming ECB chiefs, Key, McCullum, Players and the county game. Everyone is to blame. Ripping it up achieve what? we do it time after time, do results get better in Australia every 4 years? The preparations wasn't right and that been discussed and admitted was wrong but we prepare the same way and its worked. We should have had 2 warm up games for this series, Australia Cricket board aren't going to allow us to loads of warm up games and they wouldn't allow to play at any test ground pre series, See Rob Key's comments Of course they should be full review and what could be improve and what needs to change. I don't think we need to cull everything. Probably a new test coach, few players changes like a new opener replacing Duckett, decide who bats 3, does Stokes as Captain and as all rounder, what is Will Jacks role? who is our best wicketkeeper? who is our best 5 or 6 pace bowlers for different conditions, then we need to decide who is best 2 or 3 spinners in the country and back them. Listen or read to Cook and Swann's comments today https://x.com/cricketontnt/status/2004374945745240372?s=20 Sir Alastair Cook pinpoints 'massive disconnect' as major reason for England's Ashes woes We get rid of the set up after every Ashes series away and do we actually improve? Archer can't finish a test series. Is Root or Stokes going to be around in Australia in 4 years time, highly unlikely. So where are the up and coming batsmen and bowlers and do we bring them in slowly over the next couple of years. Does Stokes stay as Captain? probably. Is Brook ready to take over, probably not. Do we drop Duckett for McKinney or for another opener? is Bethall ready fpr 3 position or should Stokes bat there, Is Smith the best keeper out there? who is our best spinner? who are the future bowlers and why is next 90's mph bowler to replace Archer and Wood long term? alot of questions for Key, Stokes and McCullum/or the next head coach to answer?
  4. Just so. He's also lacks the self awareness to comprehend that his OPINION that we've signed at least 6 players who've been above average is exactly that. No more valid or factual than my opinion that we've signed one excellent one and one with potential out of eleven. The only thing you can judge both opinions against though, are fixed metrics like League position. We should storm League 1 next season though with all these supposedly great players.
  5. To be fair, Litherland did very well against Millwall, both in an attacking and defensive sense, so we didn't miss Alebiousu as much as we might had we not had him as an option. The major concern would have to be the lack of firepower, should Gudjohnssen be unavailable. Yuki isn't reliable enough in front of goal for us to deploy him alone, Hendriksson is untried as a striking option, and that out of favour big lad who even his own team mates take the pish out of on public media well, he would have to suddenly come good when there is nothing to suggest he has the ability to do much other than make faces and noise for social media clips. Consequently, I'm not expecting anything other than a loss here. Rovers will huff and puff all afternoon, but Boro will certainly score, and I don't really see how we will respond other than with a whimper and capitulation. After all, Mr Brittain will be pinging dangerous crosses in at will, so all Boro need is a calm presence in front of goal.. As always I'm happy for the fickle fingers of fate and fortune to fly feverishly in the face of favour. COYB! VENKYS OUT!
  6. there were rumours flying around that in pre season training deneve was "lacking in ability!!" i don`t think iv`e seen anybody so uncomfortable at this level
  7. Imo. At least five out of eleven. A very high percentage. De Neve. Tavares. Forshaw. Henrikssen. Miller. That will become six if Baradji breaks down injured.
  8. If Miller and McLaughlin are “better than average”, who would you class as average Rovers Championship centre backs from the last few years?
  9. C is adequate not good we will agree to disagree for me good signings have been McLaughlin miller morishita gudjohnsen Alebiosu but in comparison terms compared to last season the squad as a whole has been downgraded on
  10. It should be against the law to not have the option of paying cash, it happened before Internet banking, it should still be an option. To have a shop selling tickets, yet not accepting cash to pay for them is beyond ridiculous.
  11. That new fangled thing called ‘YouTube’.
  12. Well thank God you respect my comments whilst disagreeing with them! Lol.
  13. You are completely and utter wrong on Paul. I know Paul and to be honest you are talking utter rubbish. He isn't briefed by the club at all. He has different opinion to yours just like I have.
  14. For me, far too focus on compare teams from different seasons when so much within that season has changed within the league, different teams, squad different, so many head coaches changes. Why is so relevant? based on his performances and the facts he is getting fitter and fitter. I'm sure he will start a game soon but you always had a massive and major point with this signing cos he was injury and that has always been your issue with Baradji being here. How many duds have we signed? some players work out and some don't. Even managerial greats like Fergie, Wenger and Mourinho make poor signings that don't work out. Mourinho had Salah and De Bryune at Chelsea and couldn't get them performing at all.
  15. In this particular poster's case, it's because he only ever pops up just before and during every transfer window and is never heard from inbetween. He's briefed by the Club imo.
  16. Our league position isn't an opinion. Unless you're saying Ismael is the problem? In which case fair enough.
  17. That's not quite correct, you can still pay cash in a supermarket just as you SHOULD still have the CHOICE to pay cash at a football match especially if there's a shit load of availability. Just because something is becoming increasingly prevalent doesnt mean it's right. Dynamic pricing for example. BTW I've had a smart phone and watched You Tube for years. Not the same thing at all. Id rather not use the former to pay for stuff.
  18. Well that's all down to personal opinion and what people see when watching games. But Alebiosu and Gudjohnsen have been our best 2 signings follow by Morishita, Miller and McLoughlin who have been solid of fairly good signings. Baradji is the one, I want to see more and see whether he can contiune to improve and show us why Ismael was so keen on here. that would be 6 out of 10 signings that have been better than Average, is that's s awful/bad? Is there actually any need to post such pointless comments towards a poster, why not respect their comments whilst disagreeing with them?
  19. Today
  20. Yeah sorry see above. I took your post to mean it was in BB End lower.
  21. If 6/10 of our signings are C or above (mostly A or then that is the majority. Granted maybe C is more adequate than good, but still.
  22. Family stand is currently JWL towards the BBE but used to be upper BBE before the move
  23. It is in the JWL
  24. Every club is special to their supporters and local area Cos people had to modernise with the times, yes older fans should be the option. Whether you attending a concert or comedy night or football game, everything is digital, your bank card on your phone or your tesco clubcard. only 3 or 4 years I wasn't a fan of watching youtube but only the last couple of years later, I watch loads of things on there including Rovers related podcasts
  25. Yes, I'd swap back if I'm being totally honest. Just to be clear, I'm not saying Alebiosu is bad, he's great.
  26. I think he'll play Henriksson up with Ohashi.
  27. Fair point but perhaps they should've moved them further along towards the tunnel even if that meant relocating a few others. Sit them near who they clearly see as riff raff then decide the price out and hope that section moves is muddled thinking beyond any realm of sense. Because that riff raff whether this prick likes it or not are the life blood of the club. The ones who always show up, many of whom would be at Boro on a Tuesday night in February if we are in the bottom 3. The ONLY ones often in the ground who make any effort to actually back the team or make a connection with players. This guy is a blithering idiot.
