  1. Past hour
  2. 'Support' more than one team? In my world, that is inconceivable.
  3. Jimmy Anderson will captain Lancashire tomorrow in the county championship
  4. We need to get moving on a centre half or two, as things stand we only have Hyam and Carter who are senior players with Wharton still not being ready.
  5. You've gone from 'we will never fill Ewood again' to 'We will never fill Ewood again under these current owners'. Perhaps you should have said that in the first place.
  6. They are owners and could be for the next 40 years. None of us know but We will never Ewood Park regular under this ownership and stand by that. Odd game yes but not regular Work for Starmer? 😂😂😂. Not in millions years.
  7. https://www.thecricketer.com/Topics/globalgame/on-this-day-november-.html Reminds me of Nasser Hussain at the Gaba.... Hussain’s decision to insert Australia on a flat track in Brisbane that sunny Thursday morning has become the thing of cricketing legend - a bottomless cup of mockery from which his broadcasting colleagues still sip today.
  8. And you will used every opportunity to downplay any investment in the squad. 2 journalists have had reported a similar fee so why not trust them? They have inside information whilst don't.
  9. Trav and Tronstadt a negative pairing 🫤
  10. ‘A loan however might not be beyond the realms of possibility’ I’m arguing that for this particular player in question it would be way beyond the realms of possibility for rovers
  11. Have you watched full games? Or just YouTube highlights or stats on paper?
  12. So you're now caveating your original statement with reference to our current owners as to the reason why '...we will never fill Ewood again'. And that with better owners we could indeed fill the stadium. Do you work for Starmer?
  13. Support is a very loose term.
  14. From memory we were looking at a RB for cover/competition with Brittain. Should we land one, I think JRC is gone.
  15. I didn’t disagree until you mentioned FFP. We have plenty of room with FFP. We just have billionaire owners that won’t spend. However of course we need to sell assets and re-invest the money, but the model will only work if you spend a significant portion of what you bring in on the right blend of players. You can’t fully rely on kids and the unproven. You mention Baath, but that was quality experience. That has to be part of the plan. You mention Brittain but he was a 24 year old with proven League experience who cost over a million. No problem with that. If you blend those sort of players with kids and cheap prospects then the model has a chance. You are relying on holding your players to contract and selling for peak market value, and also recruiting the correct players in the categories above. That’s where you need the right DOF and scouting team. We can get anyone tied to a contract atm, and the recruiting in January was woeful for the position we were in.
  16. New merch Classic Blue? A sign of the anniversary shirt perhaps
  17. Buckley on way out? Garrett too assuming. jrc needed as right back cover.. Someone who can carry ball/be more creative in cm is very needed in certain games for us, trav and tronstad can be a bit of a negative pairing. Whether this guy can do it well enough is to be seen.
  18. Think @K-Hodpost it. I know a couple of fans who support both. Go to home games when they can.
  19. Rovers were a very different under Jack Walker and the Walker Trust under John Williams compare to now. Fans have walked away cos of Venkys or their decision. The owners set the direction of the club. If you had a new owner with proper coherent plan, Good CEO, understanding the local area and being part of the community, meeting fans, etc.. If we Season Ticket prices at £250 or even £200 under this ownership do I think we sold many more? Possibly but no guarantee, under a new owner, I reckon we would.
  20. You are the one who will use this signing as 'evidence' of us investing and spending on the squad and relying on the online reported fee for this. It's blatantly obvious that we aren't spending £2 million or anywhere near the that on this guy yet they've already succeeded in convincing some that we are throwing money around.
  21. Gone supporting Stanley 😂
  22. It was all a bit strange really. From 40 overs in the ball was swinging around, yet as you say they weren’t beating the bat. India batted superbly. I’m not sure England would find it so easy under those conditions. Our best chance is for rain, a draw and move on.
  23. It's another unknown player to the fans but Rovers would have done their homework on him, video analysis, data analysis on him. Well be interesting to see what type of player he is, etc,.etc from pre season and Championship games
  24. I'll repeat what YOU said...nothing to do with the owners. apart from the odd game we will never fill Ewood again At face value, that comes across as a pretty small minded comment to make. I wonder when Jack designed the stadium whether he thought we'd never fill 30k home fans.
