  2. To be fair, no club ever gives official details of failed bids for players so you can't really blame them for not updating us on Kapaudi. Same with Brittain, only word from the club will be when he goes. I imagine there will be a name or two thrown out by Nixon/Elliot this week to distract the fanbase though, it's how we operate.
  3. They did the exact same thing last pre season so it's no real surprise. We were doing Friday/Saturday double headers, and the week before the season we had Stockport on the Friday night but didn't bother organising anything for the Saturday, despite Elliot telling us all summer that the plan was to have a home game on that Saturday. Feel like we'll be miles behind on other sides when the season starts due to terrible Pre Season planning. Even last weekend on the 5th July most other Championship sides were playing, not sure why we couldn't have had a game then after two solid weeks training.
  4. The chicken in goal, isn't a bad idea actually. we could also use one as a winger too and if we get to the semi final of the league cup, we could draft a couple more in for the second leg. They would help with our survival bid, as we could be saved by the skin of our teeth, as points, could be rarer than hens teeth, this season Keep me abreast of developments, as we have no money so the next signing, should be chicken feed and maybe we will get them by the bucket load. Tasty stuff all this.
  5. Most friendlies involving foreign teams or PL outfits either require a financial incentive or a degree of organisation/competence/forward planning to involve the travel/timing stuff. Everton takes care of itself as their fans will cover the cost of hosting the game. What this lot want is cheap and easy - a League Two side turning up on their coach from an hour up the road, but we are now getting to the stage where really we need a match on the weekend of the 2nd August and probably also one to fill the gap between getting back from Spain on 26th July having played on 25th against Elche and the following weekend - you'd normally have another one midweek there to keep building up.
  6. Yeah, it mirrors where the safe standing would be for home fans in NO1.
  7. There is a 2 week gap between the Elche friendly, & the first day of the season, so you do wonder if something fell through https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/july/09/dates-for-your-diary-ahead-of-2025-26/
  8. They're just trying to run us like a normal trading entity instead of a football club. Guarantee they don't believe there's any difference in quality between players, just sell one for more than the next you buy. They'd put a chicken in goal if they could get away with it.
  9. I think the club have been caught out by league one/two starting a week earlier than us, and haven't got the capability of finding an alternative opponent for the weekend before the season.
  10. All gearing up for a Brockhall behind closed doors clash or two with Tranmere/Morecambe/Fleetwood/Oldham/Carlisle
  11. ....But what more do you people want from me!!

  13. I don’t think the hierarchy at Rovers give a shit about us. There won’t be any updates regarding Kapaudi (us plebs don’t need to know such things) or Brittain until he has gone. They really don’t give a shit. My guess is some gossip news will regurgitate something from LET and twitter.
  14. Today i'm going with; - Confirmation of Carter's injury. - Baradji deal off. - Cryptic link from a foreign journo.
  15. have we really only got 4 friendlies? seems rather short, I know the squads not huge, but you would of thought 6 friendlies?
  16. Good player. Think he's still out of action from a pretty bad shoulder injury he sustained at the back end of last season though.
  17. The kapuadi link will go away if legia win tomorrow night so expecting that to be a Thursday morning article from Nixon
  18. Koko Saito still not got a move. Was last linked with Portsmouth. I'd love that one but 0 chance of it happening...
  19. Paper talk of Brittain medical at Boro New centre half link after they have given up on Kapaudi Would be my bets
  20. What’s on today’s bingo card then confirmation of carter injury new defender link any new player link official 2nd bid for Brittain Nixon exclusive hyam contract was too quiet yesterday for nothing to happen today
  21. Today
  22. Carter immediately felt the back of his leg. At one point it looked like he was ready to carry on before he eventually walked off quite gingerly. Maybe that’s why the physio didn’t come on.
  23. Indeed, should have been signed up for a further year midway through last season. With regards to Carter, his injuries are becoming a real worry.
  24. Thanks Carl. I thought it was odd that he didn't go on to treat Carter.
  25. I agree. I thought Atcheson looked really raw on Saturday. He’s a big lad but a bit slender, he seems to be easily brushed off the ball. Litherland I like but he would be equally raw.
  26. To be fair, he does normally hold his hands up, when obviously wrong.
  27. Just been told that Andy Proctor was at the Accrington Match.
