  1. Past hour
  2. All the following based on transfermarket (yes I know) and all subject to other factors (and I know others far more aware of such matters will correct me) ๐Ÿ™‚ In Sidnei Tavares 23 โ€“midfield โ€“Portugal euros 2m Lewis Miller 24 - right back โ€“Hibs (Australian) euros 860k Dion de Neve 24-midfiled โ€“euros 759k Ryan Alebiousu 23 right back โ€“ euros 576k Sean McLoughlin-28-centre back-Hull euros 575k Euros 4.76 Out Joe Rankin Costello 25 charlton euros 870k Tyrhys Dolan 23 espanyol โ€“free (wages saved)? Andreas Weimann 33 derby free (wages saved)? Danny Baath 34 derby free (wages saved)? Callum brittain 27 Middlesborough ??? Jordan eastham 23 free (wages saved)? Cauley Woodrow end of loan (wages saved?) Euros 870k without Brittan fee So we would need euros 3.870m for him to make it evens. If Henrikkson and Baradji are to come in, there have to be more outgoings for cash. Trav, Pears, Buckley?
  3. Where do you see this as nothing on his X account?
  4. Hope not, if we aign him and midfielder number eight, wouldn't that leave us more or less at capacity as regards the 25 man squad?
  5. Despite the name of that website, I think heโ€™s wrong. The regulation very clearly states the time period and when that time period starts from. Iโ€™m perfectly happy to be the one whoโ€™s incorrect but I just canโ€™t see how I can be misinterpreting the wording.
  6. I was certain the next word was going to be horse
  7. Agree fully that this time last year it looked like a disaster waiting to happen as well but Eustace plaited sawdust with the resources he had at his disposal. VI is going to need to do the same.
  8. Yeah and then Nixon wondering why we haven't progressed with that transfer...the costing a few quid will be his answer
  9. Its Cristiano Ronaldo, apparently he fancies moving back to the North West and reverting to being a wide player to finish off his career
  10. Rosler is right footed I think, so it may be cover for Carter and also future replacement for Hyam seeing as we dont renew contracts
  11. So winger is experienced and from abroad according to Nixon.
  12. Even if I'm probably in the half-full camp, I would agree that the loss of experience is a concern and we have a weaker squad for the first part of the season. That said I was probably even more pessimistic last season. Losing Smodiczs, Wharton and Gallagher from a team that barely avoided relegation I couldn't see any quality or goals left. Expected a struggle and the team certainly overperformed. The incoming was all over the place with a reported power struggle. In came some random foreign strikers, 2 old has-beens without legs with little playing time and winding down their Championship careers, a couple of loans and a Todd Cantwell with the potential to disrupt any harmony. This summer has at least shown some resemblance of a transfer strategy bringing in people of a certain profile, before pre-season and quickly replacing Brittain.
  13. Think the Rรถsler links were from earlier in the window, before we signed McLoughlin but am open to correction if they have resurfaced
  14. Uwe's son, represented England at youth levels so you'd have to hope he doesn't need clearance...
  15. The players signed will be given a chance by the fans to show what they can do But it's logical to think we are weaker now than we where last season we have lost a lot of championship know how and only 1 of our signings has any championship experience All the players signed were cheap buys going off championship standards...3 of the players signed relegated with their respective clubs , 1 of them even deemed not good enough for the relegated side as he was shipped out on loan to St Mirren. You would have to have 100% blind faith in the recruitment team to think we are stronger now than we were last season...and we all know more departures are likely.
  16. Does he have an British passport so bypasses esc rules? He was in Man City's Academy at age 10 (presumably due to their links with his dad), so suppose its a possibility
  17. I just added a bit to my last reply, about Sunderland apparently converting Mayender after 18 months
  18. I wonder if this restriction is to โ€˜encourageโ€™ clubs to use their ESC places on players they intend to go straight into the first eleven. The two other ways to convert to a non ESC continue beyond the initial 12 months - maybe Toth will eventually qualify under one of those.
  19. On transfermarket, there would appear to be a rumour about Colin Rosler, a centre half from Malmo.
  20. Ok thanks. Probably a very small net spend at this point then. Of course if Henriksson or Baradji come in I'd say there'll be a very strong possibility of Trav going the other way so again we'll presumably be substantially in pocket on that exchange.
  21. I think the truth of the matter is the owners decided a good few years ago, before this farce, that they were reducing funding but this reared up out of nowhere. Hence there's never really appeared to be much rush to resolve it or bite the bullet and adhere to the conditions that were set out.
