  2. Looks like there is conflicting information out there! https://www.easportslaw.com/news/training-compensation-and-solidarity-mechanism Training Compensation RSTP art. 20 and annexe 4 regulates training compensation. In short, training compensation is paid by the new club to the clubs that trained the player between the ages 12 and 21. The obligation to pay training compensation occurs if one of the following two conditions are met: 1) When a player signs his first contract as a professional, and 2) Each time a professional is transferred internationally until the end of the season of his 23rd birthday The basic principle is that the new club must pay training compensation whenever a player signs his first professional contract and each time the player transfers between clubs of two different national associations. Compensation is payable until the end of the season of the player’s 23rd birthday. There is an obligation to pay training compensation regardless of whether the player’s contract has already expired or not.
  3. Didn't realise Batty had pace, always good to have in any position. He's not getting much of a look in during the pre-season games though, is he injured?
  4. Cos Batty was Accrington Stanley's YPOTY last season and he has pace - something that's difficult to get your hands on. He deserves a look, he's only 20 (I think). Beck was a fantastic defensive LB (tenacious, quick) but he didn't have the close control to play further forward .
  5. I agree that we don't need 3 left backs, which kinda begs the question why we signed Batty up for another season. I think Beck would have done a great job playing further forward though. Also, Pickering is prone to a good injury lay off as well, so would have been great cover for that too.
  6. Good move for him. So glad we've learned our lessons from the past, that Β£90k compo will go far.
  7. Only if we'd have sold Pickering. You don't need 3 LBs - and we have Batty and Powell coming through too.
  8. Shame he's gone to Derby. Would have loved to have brought him back here.
  9. I did check. https://digitalhub.fifa.com/m/696d877ea35ca761/original/Regulations-on-the-Status-and-Transfer-of-Players-January-2025-edition.pdf
  10. Venkys out protest idea We take last year's season ticket down to a Derby home game and blockade the entrances trying to see if they've taken that from last year too
  11. Hopefully they’ll make a move for Suhail.
  12. You might care to check - my understanding is that it's the end of the season and not the calendar year.
  13. They’ll be playing in blue and white halves next.
  14. Argument to say seeing as we know money doesn't get reinvested that we should just ask Arsenal for their B grade youngsters in a swap deal. We don't get the transfer money so Venkys either have to put money in their pocket or sell up
  15. You stand by all your points that have been proven wrong. Interesting approach.
  16. He would be safer going to Arsenal then getting a loan elsewhere
  17. I don't want to keep him for a season then sell him in a pre arranged deal (I think that's what you're suggesting). Odds are he makes a lot of mistakes this season as he develops and all we would do is develop them for him for no extra money.
  18. Lol. I see your point though and loyalty in your situation indicates your employers valued you. Imagine working under this ownership.. !
  19. Eustace signing Beck... Derby are starting look very familiar! Reminiscent of Rovers 24/25 squad
  20. I'm not sure, to be honest - we were creating a lot of chances under JDT, but the likes of Gallagher were not converting them. A ST the quality of Undav would have made a huge difference and, in my mind, would have got us comfortably into the top 6. And for moving for money (Dolan), we all absolutely would do the same. I'm really happy with where I work now, everything is great - but I was headhunted a few months ago and, quite honestly, the salary on offer turned my head and I had some discussions with the other business. (Ended up staying, actually out of loyalty, so maybe I've negated my actual point on this...).
  21. Good luck to Dolan, he gave 100% for Rovers, a bit to greedy at times, tripping over his own feet trying to go round 4 defenders.
  22. It would be handy if Jackson "showed his working", by providing a link or similar. Although it is more likely that Waggott/Gestede once told him this was the case, and Jackson took it at face value
  23. Probably trying to sell him so they don't have to spend

  25. Betty Everett - It’s In His Kiss
  26. I hear Arsenal are interested in Tyjon, could we not make a deal, we keep him for a season, then do business.
