  2. Irma Thomas - I Wish Someone Woukd Care
  3. The problem can be rectified, the question is will the problem be rectified ?
  4. I blame TV for not changing the kick-off to Sunday or Friday.
  5. As much as it pains.me it was the right call by rhe ref ball would.not bounce or roll. Did it rain in Manchester cos United's pitch looked fine when I saw it. I thiught we had played well for most of the game. Shame damned shame. Question is can the problem be rectified.
  6. Then thats what happens unfortunately, one of those things completely out of anyone's control at the time of happening. If you have played the game and couldn't see that the pitch was getting dangerous then that concerns me to be honest. As ever, player safety should be the first concern. We won't be awarded the win. It's just a very unfortunate event and terrible luck on our part. Im as annoyed as anyone about it all, but any reasonable person could see that it was the correct decision at the time the ref called it.
  7. Hope the EFL board can see how unfair it is to replay the match considering the red card and how little time there was left to play. Even playing the remainder of the game 11 vs 11 would be more reasonable than a full replay.
  8. For anyone being mad at the referee calling off the game due to an unplayable pitch, why don't you redirect that anger towards the owners instead? The drainage problem has known for years and we are pretty much the only team in the first four tiers of English football getting at least one game called off due to a waterlogged pitch every season. Bolton, B*rnley and Man Utd all played their matches in full yesterday. It's embarrassing for a club in second tier being forced to abandon a game because they can't handle a bit of rain. The maintenance and supporting infrastructure of the pitch is more on the level with non-league AFC Fylde at the moment who got their game abandoned yesterday for same reason. The owners are literally costing us points every season due to lack of investment.
  9. And what a boring, unimaginative chant it is!
  10. The thing which actually has annoyed me more than anything with all of this is McKenna being a total prick. Sooner the bloke gets the sack the better. Just as we're able to assess what was a good performance on our part, the Ipswich hierarchy will have watched that with a lot of concern.
  11. Plenty of faith but Ipswich were down to 10 men and new signings haven't settled yet..in a few weeks that might not be the case. What happens if Toth and Cantwell are out injury when the game is replay if it is? What happens? I played the game Mark so no need for little pathetic cheap shot..my point has been the same along. Play the game. We played in worst conditions, FFS For we should be award the win.
  12. I always wondered why we sing about a Barmy army.
  13. I'm not expert but surely the club buying 20 of those massive squeegee sticks would help considering we know the state of the drainage. Give one to each of the ball boys and I'd bet they'd have seen another 10 minutes out of the pitch. One bloke walking around with a tiny fork is just embarrassing. If Gestede has learnt anything from Waggott he could hail his new squeegees as a dynamic state of the art emergency drainage system. It'd be his version of Waggott championing a rented coach.
  14. Not much faith in your Rovers team if you automatically think we'll suffer a heavy defeat in the replay. Again your only saying see the game out because we were winning. It was clear the pitch was unplayable when the ref called it, as annoying as it is for us. You can tell you have never played the game, there was a disastrous injury waiting to happen in those conditions. I dont particularly want the game replaying to be honest, and for me they should play the remainder of the game behind closed doors with the score and man advantage still in tact, but they won't as its never happened before in this country.
  15. How childish is this “ thumbs down “ bollocks ? I’ve been on this site longer than I care to remember and I’ve never lowered myself to give somebody a thumbs down. Not once ! Either reply to the persons post if you don’t agree, or move on.
  16. I know this might be lateral thinking, but if there is a replay, why don't we just get on with it, and win it ?
  17. The rules don’t indicate that, they give the EFL full flexibility to award the points, replay in full or part. Sadly, I know what my money is on and that simply isn’t fair, the only equitable decision would be take the match and complete from the point that it was abandoned.
  18. No its was disagree thumb that what thumb down stand for on the forum. Just play the game out. The conditions were the same for both. Maybe we shouldn't play football in rain anymore at this rate Let's see if you disagree with the decision if the game is replay and we suffer a heavy defeat cos Ipswich are better form and new signings have settled in. Think about that one for minute
  19. It was playable when we kicked off. It was playable when we re-started after half time. By the time the ref said “ stop “. It wasn’t playable. If we’d have been in time added on he might just have let the game carry on, but we weren’t. And the rain was ceaseless and never looked like easing off. I can’t understand why he even bothered coming back out. Just for show I supposed. On a personal note by the time I’d walked back to Blackburn station I was like a drowned rat.
  20. Again mr thumbs down, would you have wanted the game to continue if the roles were reversed? You would have been the first to say calling it off was the correct decision, and you know it.
  21. Should have to played the rest of the game out
  22. We played in much worse condition. Portsmouth at home 2017 for example. Ipswich got what they wanted and Rovers got screwed again
  23. The annoying thing out of all of this is McKenna being all high and mighty about it when you know if the roles were reversed he’d be fuming that the last 10 minutes weren’t played.
  24. To be fair Chaddy, you are exactly the same. If Ipswich had been winning 1-0 and we had been down to 10 men, you would be saying that calling it off was the correct call. And please don't say that you wouldnt.
  25. No he wouldn't. However Rovers would have.
