  1. Past hour
  2. I think I would rather go with the majority and Arbitro on this one, unless your Howard Webb 😊
  3. It’s not a clear red though. Show us the intent of the Ipswich player to sweep his legs show us where morishita had the bouncing ball under control , to get it under control would take some time and thus allowing the Ipswich defender more than enough time to get back, thus he is covering id love it if he was sent off to make it easier for us but I call it as I see it, irrespective of what colour of shirt their are wearing
  4. I promise this will be my last post on this (for now at least!) but I think some people will be interested in these two: The Venkys paid less to Rovers for advertising compared to the previous year (£795,000 vs £1 million) The amount the Venkys charged the Community Trust (for rent and other services) increased by almost 60% (£395,819 vs £248,294)
  5. A must-win game. Have to kill the game off early by leading two or three goals heading into final 20-30 minutes. Last two matches have been good performances but game management final few minutes leading by a single has to improve vastly. Don't want to see Gueye on the pitch again; looks so uninterested and uninspired with his lack of running. Ohashi runs his socks off every game but is so wasteful in front of goal. Would rather that he comes in during second half when Gudjohnsen tires instead of playing with a front two. Pears Miller McLoughlin Pratt Alebiosu TGH Forshaw Hedges Morishita Baradji Gudjohnsen Second half subs: Ohashi, Cantwell, Tavares, De Neve
  6. Turnover revenue year up to 31/03/2025 Matchday income £4596,258 Media £11626,335 Commercial £7516,077 other £525,000 Total revenue £24263,670 So the TV money is media I would think. Preston's (similar championship club but much smaller) to compare but not like for like as up to 30/06/24 Matchday income £4315 Media £9484 Commercial £1272 other £1735 Total Revenue £16906,000 I know it is scraping the barrel but at least we still have a bigger revenue than Preston, even in our darkest hour,
  7. Would love to conduct a town centre survey and pose questions to the general public.
  8. I’ve just noticed another difference (from previous years) re this - they’ve added the below: ‘… However the directors acknowledge the timing and eventuality of promotion is subject to a number of uncertainties and therefore this assessment is judgmental’ I wonder who decided this should be included. Edited to add, spotted another… In previous years they’ve said promotion would facilitate them being able to get their money back but… Now it says ‘…the timing and extent of the recovery of the loan depends on promotion…’ Is the penny finally starting to drop or is someone else insisting on these phrases being included??
  9. Our revenue only went up because of the new TV deal, without this it would’ve fallen instead. But as you say, most people won’t look for the details.
  10. I think to be reasonably confident of survival we need to be looking at being on 30 points or more going into the New Year. With the fixtures between now and then, six games, and 18 points available, we need to be picking up at least 50% of the points on offer. The fixture list is as kind on paper as anyone could ask for. Twice playing administration stricken Sheffield Wednesday, a gimme for most teams in this league, also Oxford at home and Portsmouth away, two clubs we need to be finishing above. Millwall at home should not be a game to fear either. I've seen enough of this club over the years to never be confident of a 'home banker' no matter what state the opposition are in, so sadly I expect a couple of draws from this and Oxford, which will keep us bobbling along and the serious pressure off but not get us the return we need from two such significant home games.
  11. Today
  12. There’s a case to be made that Mori (needlessly) goes down too easy in that situation and should be cautioned for diving, but then where does the yellow card to the Ipswich player come from? Just a monumental f***kup from the referee regardless of how you see the situation.
  13. At this time of year Rovers invite friends and family of any supporter who has passed away in that year to remember them with their picture on the big screen. We used it last year after my brother had passed and it really is a worthwhile exercise. We really felt it was a fitting tribute after a lifetime of supporting Rovers. I would recommend anyone who has lost someone to take it up. The details are:
  14. It isn’t blue & white specs, just a clear red card, irrespective of the relative speeds of Morishita and Davis. Had it been Miller on Hirst or Akpon, it would still be the most blatant red card. Your very valid point that the red card incident didn’t prevent us from seeing the game out, I couldn’t agree more.
  15. Someone should do a version of it with his conspiracy tin hat on.
  16. I'm cryin 🤣 OK last one Sorry Val... 🙏
  17. Having watched the replay, and this may be where the debate with Miller has come from, but how has a guy floated it from in his own half and it’s gone right over Millers head and someone brings it down in our box? That’s absolutely basic. We’ve got 5 at the back, everyone behind the ball and we are undone by the most basic of hoofs forward.
  18. I was wondering if it caused him to be a bit more cautious surrounding the second.
  19. There are a group right now who are being fast tracked. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx2nd9zewx5o When I got on the referees list in 1995 an ex professional called Steve Baines also got on. He only did a few seasons due to his age but I know he automatically earned respect from players because of this. There have been/are several since Steve who have played at National Conference level. However there will never be any household names taking up refereeing because, quite simply it doesn't pay enough.
  20. The meme potential for this image is unlimited.
  21. I wonder if the ref was reprimanded for his first decision, thus leading to his second ?
  22. Agreed. But (and absolutely no disrespect here) I am not aware of any players of the top 2 divisions who became refs. Probaly wrong -not sure.
  23. Thanks for the more measured reply. I've never put anyone on ignore either. Everyone's entitled to an opinion on whether it was a red or not, the interpretation of the guidelines is fairly subjective. A lot have said it was a definite red, a few have said it definitely wasn't I'd fall somewhere in between "seen them given but wouldnt be surprised if it was a yellow either" camp. I wasn't initially taking issue with Arbitro saying it was a definite red, that's his prerogative. I was taking issue with his support for Ismael producing "the list" and complaining of some sort of vendetta against us by referees which in my book is excuse making, nothing more nothing less.
  24. Curious given that RG stated that promotion wasn't really on the agenda.
