Billy Castell Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 He's involved with the daily show too. Nice to see some inverted snobbery about him as well. I suppose Peter Cook and Monty Python are elitist tw_ts too.

Biddy Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Episode 2 of Little Britain USA. Starting to really like the Cocker Spaniel sketches, this weeks was pretty funny. The Bubbles De Vere sketch at the end not so. Bitty was also in it and was pretty good but they took all the joy out of Sebastian (now PM) in one single sketch. Very strange choice.
adopted scouser Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 It was one of them hold a mirror up to your own life kind of shows, and thankfully mine just about looked better than those of the residents of Rotherham.Felt sorry for the kids though TBH. Mum-"How do I know when the water is boiling?" Jamie-"When you can see the bubbles" Just caught up with this myself, next episode tonight. I stared in disbelief at the filthy conditions some of these buggers live in, lighting up their fags, cans of boddies in the fridge and kids living on bleedin' doner meat. On the other hand it was warming to see the 'doner mother' almost cartwheeling with delight after making meatballs and pasta for her kids. My 13 year old excels at basic cookery at her school, and with her Dad showing her even more at the weekend it's inconcievable she'll end up like that. Really felt good for Doner Mum though - turning into Colin
colin Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Really felt good for Doner Mum though - turning into Colin Cheeky blighter. Off to bed without bean sprouts supper for you.
Ozz Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 Another interesting episode of Jamies Ministry Of Food last night, I suppose it's not for everyone but you can't knock Oliver for his enthusiasm, patience and desire to help people learn to help them selves. Not sure he I would hang around with him myself, but he seems a genuine guy. If you get the chance to see Jools Holland on Friday then hopefully they will repeat the Aussie band SIA with their special effects from last nights abridged live version, thought it was superb. Tonight sees The Family, which I find absorbing to watch, it makes you think about your own life and actions in similar situation to the ones you see on screen, on again. Ch 4 9.00pm. As you can see I don't get out much these days.

Found another performance of it from the US Here On YouTube. is MOF food programme on any "online player"? Just For You Abbs.
The Gull Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 SKY+'d the Fringe and watched it last. The main lady in it is quite hot but her acting is abysmal, she is not helped by the script writers though who have given her and her colleagues some ridiulously corny lines. The story was quite good but the corny stuff turned me off a bit. Apparently it is from the writers of Lost which is a programme I have never watched, was that corny?
Billy Castell Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 No, Lost is/was a crappy how where the writers try to make every episode more weird and confusing than the last, arbitarily introducing characters and starting and stopping stories and threads with no resolution. I managed about 3 episodes before I realised it was a self-indulgent semi-improvised show with no direction or plot.
ABBEY Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Lost is still one of my favorates .Sky + Fringe ,will watch asap.(or when the g/f wants to )
Beta Ray Bill Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Fringe gets better after the first couple of episodes, although the basic premise that the US government would let an FBI agent, an effective runaway gambler, and a loony take control of top secret projects is pretty daft. Sarah Connor Chronicles remains great though. Nothing remotely silly about that programme.
Grabbi Graeme Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Sarah Connor Chronicles remains great though. Nothing remotely silly about that programme. I have seen the first 3 episodes of season 2 of The Sarah Conner Chroncles, seems good so far.
Nelsta Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Seem's Charlie Brooker(screen wipe) Has put his money where his mouth is and written his own TV show. It's called Dead Set and due to be shown at the end of this month. During a fictional series of Big Brother, a zombie outbreak occurs, but the house-mates are unaware of the impending doom outside of the Big Brother House. Dead Set Trailer
Billy Castell Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 That could be very funny, and very cutting. The Daily Show on More 4 is on form.
Cocker Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I don't think its been said but there is a new Peter Kay programme on channel 4 this Sunday. Its meant to be a micky take of the xfactor/Britain's got talent - etc.
Nelsta Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Yeah i'll be watching it. but i swear to god, If i hear the words Garlic Bread or any number of the jokes he repeats and uses in every other single thing he's done i'll be turning it over straight away.

Rovermatt Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Finally finished season 5 of The Wire. Wow.
Guest Kamy100 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Hadn't head of the Wire until last week, but a friend of mine is raving about it so got the Season 1 boxset today, looking forward to watching it.
American Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Greatest. Show. Ever. Period. Was reading some free weekly when I was in London and I think they summed it up best as "The great american novel."
