nicko, im a bit confused about transfer deadline deals, maybe you could help...

do you have to sign, medical , and agree terms before midnight???

No. You have to be 'processing' the deal. You can put the final paperwork through later.

Or in the case of Birmingham City when they signed Walter Pandiani...much later.

Or if you are Tevez or Mascherano 'whenever you want chaps.'

well all paper work has to be sent to FA by midnight which can only be done once terms are agreed and the player has signed as for medical as guess they don't HAVE to have one but it would be very risky not to give them one.

Nicko what the hell does the processing bit actually mean??Cause couldn't you still be talking to a player/club so therefore that would be trying to process the paperwork.

That reminds me of the Kuqi story last year...

Palace were allowed to sign him despite the paperwork going astray.

Somebody sent the fax to a local sandwich shop.

Honest.

If I remember rightly Naismith was allowed to talk to them when the first bid was made because they thought the deal would be agreed then?

kuqi was crap for crystal palace, so why hes goes fulham is pure desperation from lawrie sanchez..

He was an awful footballer, one of the worst I have seen. When I went to games with my Scottish mates they couldn't believe that a player so bad could play in the PL.

They obviously never saw Barry Ferguson at rovers ! :lol:
