novella Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Does someone know something somewhere? Allardyce's odds have dropped right down this afternoon. Or is it just his "friends" giving it some? i think thats to do with the fact he is getting an interview this afternoon. i assume there will be another interview with someone else over the weekend at some point too. and so forth until everyone at the top of the list has been discussed by board.
Iceman Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Ive only applied 37 times guys, for the rovers job.so now u know where those 40 applications came from.lol
philipl Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 It must be 100+ posts ago, but I think nicko has said HtC has now been contacted by the Rovers. So, presuming it wasn't "thank you and good bye", looks likely that at least one other candidate will be seen. Interviewing Martinez and Ince is tricky because they are both in existing football management contracts.
Pinch Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Both sides have made their points of view and arguments blatantly clear for either wanting or not wanting BFS as the next manager. Its clear views aren't going to change so lets just leave it at that and see what the board decides. Whot? Another board besides us will decide?
bluebruce Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I can think of about 28,000 weekly reasons why he wouldn't fancy Cardiff. ...are you telling us that Roberts is on 28k a week?!?
dj54nna Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/poll/ Henk needs some help, people.
Dunnfc Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Just as long as the next manager has passion like the passion Bilic has showed on the touchline during the Germnay game. Anyone see him?
Brownie Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/poll/ Henk needs some help, people. I've done my bit ! Come on Nicko, tell us that Sam's meeting went very badly ...............................please
RevidgeBlue Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/poll/ Henk needs some help, people. I voted for Ince but two or three votes seemingly makes quite a difference. HTC has gone from 14 to 18% in a couple of minutes. How the hell has Advocaat polled 27% of the vote? He's not even in the running?
Hi Mack Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I've done my bit ! Come on Nicko, tell us that Sam's meeting went very badly ...............................please JW has done just about everything right(that i can think of) in the past! Hope he keeps to his form and gets Henk 10 cate! I can really see him doing well! I can see him coming in sitting DB and RSC down and saying look your stayin and thats final!
deftangel Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Nicko, would I be correct in thinking that if the job were offered to Ten Cate, he'd likely take it? Or would he be keen to see things like transfer budgets/takeovers etc etc first?
hawkiiz Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Nicko, would I be correct in thinking that if the job were offered to Ten Cate, he'd likely take it? Or would he be keen to see things like transfer budgets/takeovers etc etc first? if he is offered the job he will have seen all that already. they must know what the manager thinks of working with a relatively small budget, and cant risk him splash 10m on one player.
hawkiiz Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 no doubt that ince is keen according to the press. "im impressed by blackburn" is all over. btw. how was bilic as a player? i never paid much attention to him
Dunnfc Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 no doubt that ince is keen according to the press. "im impressed by blackburn" is all over. btw. how was bilic as a player? i never paid much attention to him Bilic was idolised by West Ham fans and still is as he was a hard nut centre back but suffered injuries went to Everton for big money, injuries and no form ment he was released from his contract early with a big pay off.
Sandiway Blue Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 no doubt that ince is keen according to the press. "im impressed by blackburn" is all over. btw. how was bilic as a player? i never paid much attention to him I must admit when i read what ince said it made my skin crawl Bilic was `alright`as a centre half, not good enough for a top 6 club but ok for mid-table.
novella Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Billic proving right now why we should do everything in our power to get him!
1864roverite Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Well folks, my wife is currently in Bolton at her cousins. Out of the conservatory she can see fat Sams wife with her son. BFS is NOT at home having left with another male in a Range Rover over 3 hours ago. Sam was wearing a nice black suit as was his friend. There is 2 youngish children playing in the garden having a ball on a trampoline !! thats the "live" development straight from Bolton
Hi Mack Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Billic proving right now why we should do everything in our power to get him! No chance Billic is coming to Ewood! No chance!
novella Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 if we cant get billic we should get that olic, rated him for a while
Blackburn Ender Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 If Bilic keeps doing this well, he could probably set his sights higher than us. Are there any big jobs in Italy or Spain up for grabs? There aren't any more in England.

BFS is NOT at home having left with another male in a Range Rover over 3 hours ago. Sam was wearing a nice black suit as was his friend. There is 2 youngish children playing in the garden having a ball on a trampoline !! thats the "live" development straight from Bolton Thats interesting Let us know when he gets back, Nicko should be texting Mr Williams asking how things went by then
hawkiiz Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 i would love to witness that meeting. i bet sam is one of the most professional and prepared people they will interview. all we can do now is hope they make the right decision. btw. if berg gets in the picture, at least he are experienced managing a team with low attendances and how can lehmann still be playing for germany?? are there no better goalies than him?? he is cr@p
John Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Sam would impress in an interview I reckon. I am currently get torn to pieces in the office at the moment by Spurs and other London based fans - they are literally pi*sing themselves laughing about our managerial short list in general, and also the liklihood of Sam getting the job. Quite hard to take.......
Iceman Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Mrs Gumboots dont worry,my sources says that its not going to be BFS.
