I'm happy with Ince, he's got a lot to prove. He's English (a major plus for many on here), he's played on the continent, he's won medals, and captained his country. Sounds to me like he'd be a great motivator, if he gets the right back room staff in we'll be just fine; then the rumours will again start about the Rovers boss going to Man U.

It would be interesting if it was true. As a manager he has pretty much failed, but you can't deny the guy was a great, great player both for club and country. He would have a lot of respect from the players, and could have something to offer in a coaching role.

I think he would help him alot. But not as a manager, maybe a decent assistant.

why are rovers taking so long to annouce a press conference, surely ince being given the green light by the premierleague yesterday, or is it just tht rovers want ot mke an announcement for a press conference for monday rather than a sunday, as having a press conference for a new manger on a sunday seems a bit odd

As for the 5 euro chunk on a chinese chinky, thats great, its gone up with inflation and I am sure whe will be worth the payout

Dead right, his management days are over, I could just about stomach Ince but Ince and Robson never ! I wouldn't be going to watch any team with Robson as part of the set up.

To be fair The Mirror has been the most anti-Rovers paper for well over a decade. They have a tradition of publishing negative, derisory articles about us that go back to the Lineker saga.

I remember particularly well an article at the end of the 1993-94 season when a double page article mocked us for not having won anything while having spent so much, completely ignoring the fact that United had broke the national transfer record that season to buy Roy Keane. There was also a mocking article when we were relegated which suggested we got what we deserved for having spent a lot of money, At least we have Alan Nixon writing balanced news on us now but the nastiest attacks on Rovers have come from The Mirror...look at the Darren Lewis article for that. From that article...

"For the love of.,. What are they trying to prove? That the job of bossing mid-table, never-gonna-achieve-anything Blackburn was the most sought after in Europe?"

Maybe sales of The Mirror are traditionally low in the area or something...if not then they certainly deserve to be.
