Lurid Coat Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I bet his agent has been working his nuts off trying to find some interested clubs, to no avail (understandably so), and that he would jump ship if the possibility arose.
T4E Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 ....or, more worringly, he now has reason to believe he's in with a shot of more regular first team football......
Hughesy Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I bet his agent hasnt - Stoke are ready to offer him a deal so he has options.
Backroom DE. Posted April 14, 2009 Backroom Posted April 14, 2009 Mokoena must not be here next season... he's had his time, and for the good of the player and the club he has to move on.
Billy Castell Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Mokoena can go to Stoke. He has served his purpose, and needs to move on.
RoversSG Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Mokoena wants to stay at Ewood http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11676_5188509,00.html Oh God, Noooo!!!! He is by far the worst midfielder i seen in a Rovers shirt and i have been watching rovers for 17 years! He's the worst passer i ever seen in the premier league and for a defensive mid, half his tackles are either late or ineffective! To put it in perspective, I rather play Andrews anyday

The Rover of Finland Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Please Stoke, come and get him! Take Grella as well but give few pounds for him. A very bad buy by Ince. Does anyone know will Reid recover the same he was? Couple of years ago I mean..
Hughesy Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Its hard to say on Reidy - they are not injuries that should effect his game - but if you take any footballer who has hardly played any football for the best part of 2-3 years - its difficult to regain that same quality - time will tell. If anyone can get him to do it, its Sam and his team.
Majiball Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Its hard to say on Reidy - they are not injuries that should effect his game - but if you take any footballer who has hardly played any football for the best part of 2-3 years - its difficult to regain that same quality - time will tell. If anyone can get him to do it, its Sam and his team. With reference to Reid he's chomping at the bit to get back and will be working most of the summer to be ready for pre-season. I know his re-habs going well so hopefully we'll see him back to best next year, as god knows we could do with him.
67splitscreen Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 One we where reportedly interested in and then was supposed to have done a deal with Wigan but then broke his leg, is fighting fit again. Wonder if we kept the dossier. Mind at only 5' 8", can't see him fitting into Sam's game plans, and big money to boot. Christian Benitez
Hughesy Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 If we could get Reid back to pre-injury form (when United were looking at him, and Spuds offered for him) then we have a real midfielder on our hands. Here's hoping. He's a smashing lad, and deserves abit of luck. As for that Benitez lad, im pretty sure he will end up at Wigan.
Majiball Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Getting Reid back to his best would be a god send!!!! He was immense that year so here's hoping! Not keen on Benitez, not convinced physically, I've always liked Cabanas RSC's strike partner from Paraguay. However I'm a little bit confused with this Peter Crouch story 12M spent by Rovers on one player, that'll be the day. Anyways does anyone really think he's worth it???? would you want him at Ewood???
alexanders Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Which Crouch story? £12M for Crouch??? No way! £12m Crouch This one?
Hughesy Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 FFS!! No thank you. Far better talent available for less than that.
DanLad Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 £12m Crouch This one? I would have thought that Sam would go for a player who was genuinely good in the air, not just tall. Saying that, in a half decent side Crouch will score lots of goals against mediocre and poor Prem sides. He is drastically found out against quality opposition, though.
Backroom DE. Posted April 15, 2009 Backroom Posted April 15, 2009 Funny reading all of these Reid posts, they could have been copied and pasted from last year
T4E Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Crouch could not be more perfect for Sam's style. £12m is steep but I would like to have him at Rovers.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 We should sign him just for The Rope.
67splitscreen Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 And on the same page as the link, Pompey linked with Cisse for 9m. Some how I think this is a load of pooh.
Hughesy Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Cisse wont cost £9m either. More likely to be around £6m.
Manc Rover Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Crouch could not be more perfect for Sam's style. £12m is steep but I would like to have him at Rovers. Me too. £60K a week wages could be tricky but I imagine RSC being on similar. Crouch is an excellent player! Whatever happens, I doubt it will be the apathetic activity like the past 2 summers - Revolving door beckons!!
broadsword Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Pompey are seriously skint, you'd have to be mad to pay 12 mill for Crouch.
