ffan Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Rumours today of Hughes to your lot if Hodgson goes. There isn't a better man for the job than Sparky, and surely he's itching to get back into management. Apparently Hughes wants 7 million for himself and his backroom staff though? What type of football does he play?

den Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Apparently Hughes wants 7 million for himself and his backroom staff though? What type of football does he play? Competitive football. If it's between Hodgson and Hughes, give me Hughes every day of the week.

ffan Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Cheers lads. He's going to have alot to live upto. Erikson would be a disaster I think.

47er Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 If you get Hughes ffan and compensation for losing Woy, let me tell you its the best day's work your club has ever done. Good luck with it (except twice a year!).
Foxxx Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 @ ffan, rumours going around NZ that a premier league team is looking at Shane Smeltz, and Fulham keeps being mentioned. Would be a huge shock if he moved to the Premier League.
Amo Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Hodgson has a done an outstanding job at Fulham, but he's another English flavour of the month manager. Could anyone imagine recommending him for the England job a couple of years ago? They'd have been slapped in the face. And I can still remember the shambles he left here, which the media conveniently overlook.
Roberto Policano Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I see Liverpool asked to speak to Didier Deschamps on Thursday, but Marseille were having none of it. Christoph Daum would be a good choice for Fulham,if Roy leaves.
Bobby G Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 My source tells me that Real Madrid have just signed someone from the PL. Could be made official anytime between now and his teams WC campaign ending. Mourinho's first signing. Cant say anything more at this moment.

Bobby G Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Everyone seems to be thinking its Gerrard for some reason...But it isnt!
modes98 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Good on Keith Andrews, always lands on his feet. I love it. You have obviously spent too much time on here, you are thinking like a Blackburn fan

Maicon will sign for them next week.Di Maria has signed.Just a case of dotting the i's and crossing the t's.
Bobby G Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Neither Maicon or Di Maria are in the PL, Roberto! This is someone else. And he will be missed. One more scalp for La Liga against the Premier League.
LeChuck Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Christoph Daum would be a good choice for Fulham,if Roy leaves. It's always a risk for 'smaller' clubs to go for foreign managers though, even successful ones. In fact, I can't remember the last time a foreign manager did well with a club like Fulham. Usually when smaller clubs 'overachieve' it is with a British manager. The likes of Perrin, Ramos, Tigana (especially relevant to Fulham!) came and didn't really do anything, but are undoubtedly good managers abroad.
Roberto Policano Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Vidic If i was to lean, that's where i would be leaning.
Kelbo Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Neither Maicon or Di Maria are in the PL, Roberto! This is someone else. And he will be missed. One more scalp for La Liga against the Premier League. Lampard to Real!!
andyroversmad Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 If I was going to guess, I would say a Chelsea player, maybe Drogba or lampard ?
thenodrog Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 If I was going to guess, I would say a Chelsea player, maybe Drogba or lampard ? Vidic prob cos Maureen is a manager who quite rightly will build from the back .... but Joe Cole is available and on a free.
Bobby G Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I did mention once the player's WC campaign ends. Arent Serbia already out?
