I'm sure many will be happy to see the back of KA, but do keep in mind that means we will be even more reliant on Dunn/Grella/Reid keeping fit and one reliable midfielder down.

Yes you can rely on him to let you down. He is a lost soul in the Premier League but probably now on too high a wage to play further down.

Why has our manager gone abroad?? Another Holiday?? surely he's gone to talk to someone?

If my main aim was to keep my current players as Sam said then I'd want to be were I could chat to them face to face, and thats in Blackburn.

It was mentioned by someone at least a week ago that Sam was taking a break.

I'm sure there are a few stickies (of the paper type) on JW's table reminding him what needs to be done.

I doubt Sam will have an International call bar on his phone.

If Sky are right Zenden will be in on a free - he's played just 6 full games in the past two years for Marseille and has been released.

I guess that would be another one not ready for the Premier League for several weeks. We need someone who can hit the ground running, surely?

BENJANI...looking for big money, telling people Rovers are in for him...but may turn up in a very unexpected place tomorrow.

ZENDEN...Portsmouth would look like the best bet for him...Kranjcar could be off...

ZURAB...definitely being mentioned in one or two places as we speak.

BENNI...he is also on offer and being discussed abroad...

There will be an 11 o'clocker tonight to fill one or two gaps.

Got to say there is some news just now, but could be a lot more later.

Hopefully Benni doesn't go anywhere. We need all of the goalscorers we can get. Is the 11 o'clocker Rovers news Nicko, and will it disappoint us.

Depends where he's gone. He could be off to negotiate with a midfielder, contract and pen in hand, whilst JW is back at the office on the phone to shift Andrews at the same time in a classic pincer movement.

After our famous shhoting ourselves in the foot incident with Keane I'd rather he was beside the fax machine.

Nicko, is Sam out of the country, and does this mean that anything that happens today/tomorrow is John Williams doing.

Sam is going away on Tuesday...but that is not a problem.

The names of the players he wants will be with the chairman.

It is down to the chairman to raise the funds by selling a player or two today - with the manager's agreement.

If that happens then deals for an arrival or two could go through.

It's a bit lively just now, whether it comes to anything or not remains to be seen.

I think one will go, possibly two and one should come and maybe even a second.

Names and more details later. Not doing other people's jobs for them... ;)

All the build up, all drama, all the excitement, all eagerly anticipating a few more signings. Then it all ends in disappointment again. I just love a good deadline day :D
